Sales team are an absolute joke, they insisted I use their finance and not my own even though they cannot beat the deal from my finance company, simply will not deal with my finance company even though I bought my existing car from them (then carpeople) using this finance company !. Insisted on a card payment deposit before even going into the finance side. They have now lost a 8k+ car sale and a loyal returning customer.... never again!

if anyone is thinking about buying a car from Car Shop... DONT! 12 months ago I spent just over £9000 on a Nissan qashqai, within a week it was back at the car shop as simple things like the windows weren’t working, the mot that they assured me was clean actually wasn’t... and the engine was making an awful noise! They claimed to fix these yet the car continued to break and have problems, it went back three times for the engine and they assured me that there wasn’t any problems. While investigating a problem with the car alarm, they managed to crush a wire. Leaving me driving a dangerous car with no rear lights for the whole 6 months of winter! (See attached photo) Over the space of 11 months, the car had been back to the car shop over 20 times! Things that they had ‘fixed’ hadn’t been fixed. Parts that they ‘replaced’ hadn’t been replaced. 11 months after buying the car, the noise originally reported got louder and the engine failed on a main road in town. Despite reporting this problem within 7 days of buying the car, car shop are accepting no responsibility. Car shop are a joke, their cars are dangerous and they are fully aware of that! Once they have your money they don’t care!

Worst second hand car dealer I have ever come across. The after sales is disgusting. You can't actually speak to anyone. Car is faulty say after collecting it

Went to car shop today to view a VW Passat. Wouldn’t show it to me unless I gave them my details. What the hell is that about, I will never use them again.

Worst aftercare I have ever experienced in my life, if you can get hold of anyone they say they’ll sort out your issue and call back but they don’t have been chasing the service history of my car for weeks now, the Cardiff branch told me it was with the car and ready to collect well it wasn’t not even washed the guardx wasn’t done no log book and no service history had to wait 4 hours to drive it away,oh and they hadn’t fixed the noisy exhaust as promised either, was told someone would take me to post office to tax car and apply for new log book after another long wait I got in my old car a sorted it myself am now having to take time off work to get the exhaust fixed by Halfords (Carshop are paying for the repair) it’s been weeks now and still no service history and nobody will respond to my emails or phone calls. I’m so disappointed with their service i wish I’d never gone there please avoid at all costs

I had put a deposit (Tues) on my car and booked in a time to collect (1pm Sunday ) after meeting the guy at the dealership he then tried selling me their finance even though I had cash ready to buy the car. The car needed a little bit of work and it wasn’t ready even though I was told it was and I could collect it anytime from the Tuesday when I paid my deposit but I could get in until Sunday. It actually still finished so I had to wait, also I was unaware of any paintwork needed as it stunk of paint but only needed a plastic trim replacing. No one could tell me what work was done to it! Then I was told I had to paid a £150 admin fee and another £20 for something to do with MOT! This was never mentioned to me when I paid the deposit and I was prepared to walk and not buy the car as I had seen one elsewhere the same price. The manager simply clicked these fees away after I argued the fact this payment was not relevant. I’m just not happy with the service I have received and no seemed to really know what to tell me. I’ve never bought a car from a sales garage before and it was a painful experience from start to finish. I needed to be somewhere and missed it because I was sat in the sales room for 3 hours for no reason at all. I simple wanted to come in, pay, drive away but it has been dragged out. A disappointing experience to say the least as this was a big purchase for me and has eaten into most of my day sitting while nothing much was done. In finally getting keys after 3 hrs 15 minutes there was something else missing in the car and it hadn’t been cleaned after the repairs so was filthy inside. The manager wasn’t interested. How can a car be sold not shining inside! Speaking nearly 9k and it was disgusting! I’m livid now as my whole day has been taken up by sitting in a car sales room getting passed around. What should have been an easy transaction has been awful. Eventually left after nearly 5 hours, the manager wasn’t interested in anything I had to say!!

Terrible experience , will never return. Waste of time and money. If they were more honest and less interested in selling you finance maybe it they would receive more positive reviews.

Drove for 3 hrs to get there and see a car. The car was not like in the pics. There were few dents and scuffs on the car that they said the cameras they use would have not been visible in the photos... I asked them why they did not mentioned in the description then.... Asked to reduce the price and the manager said that the scuffs were priced in the price advertised.... However in the ad was nothing mentioned about the actual condition of the car. Result of the day... Wasted 6 hrs on a beautiful day... And now waiting for the deposit back too for about 2-3days....

After purchasing an Audi Q5 from this store we drove away on the Saturday and on the Sunday Energy managment light came on. After contacting the branch to advise this of this we have been shoved from pilar to post to deal with the matter. We are now in day two of waiting for return call to advise when car can be picked up from Audi, who incidentally are still awaiting carshop to get in touch with them to carry out the necessary works.. The company is a disagrace they have no customer management skills, no empathy and the management do not want to deal with the issues.. happy to take your money but after that dont expect anything more from them.. they could not even arrange a courtesY vehicle whilst our car was off the road.. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN PERIL

A year since having the car I have been stitched up I am constantly having problems with it and over the time I have had it it has been back and forth for well over 10 times to the car shop. On the most recent occasion the air con has not been working and I have taken it back 5 times plus and they still cannot fix it. Recently after receiving a small bump and taking it to get resprayed, the resprayer who has been spraying cars all his life has show me the terrible difference in colour on one side of the car to the rest. He had to re-spray the whole car you could only see this in the dark in the light it was difficult to see. He had to re-spray the whole side and the carshop just quoted retric to me. I had a 2007 honda civic for 2 years before I bought this car and for an aged car I never had to take it to the garage for a fault. Wish I had never bought this car. Also the Carshops service has gone down drastically since removing customer services locally. I will never use them again.

On 21st July, I reserved a car (RV65 FKT) in-store at Norwich branch, the car was being refurbished in Sheffield, which usually takes two weeks, but the process had already started, so I was told to expect it to be ready in less than two weeks. I called CarShop on 23rd July, for an update, and was told that the V5 had the wrong model printed on it so this needed rectifying, which usually takes around two weeks, so I expected a delay. I called again on 6th August, asking for an update, I was told nothing new, that it was being refurbished and that the V5 was being rectified. I called again on 15th August for an update, expecting some movement, but being told nothing new and that there could be no movement because the person dealing with my sale (John Walker) was not in. Later in the day, I spoke to the retail manager, John Ruskin, who told me that the case was now "in the right hands", and that he would call me back within the next hour for an update. He did not call, and I never received a call from CarShop during the whole month I was dealing with them. I popped into the branch to find John Ruskin, who again, told me nothing new. At which point, I was fed up because there was no movement for 4 weeks, therefore reserved a different car. I was promised that this car is ready to be moved down from Doncaster and that it would be ready 20th August. I called on the 20th and was told that my partner and father could purchase the car, and put my name on the V5. They went into the branch, and were told that this would not be possible, and would be illegal (which is completely untrue), wasting 3 hours of their time. On the following day, my father went into purchase the car and put my name on the V5 (the law must have changed since the previous day), only for the SatNav SD card not to be in the car and there not to be a 2nd key or any car mats. When I click on the link for the original car that I reserved, it says Car Now Sold, they therefore sold it without telling me when I had it reserved.

Avoid at all costs.. 🤬🤬😡🤬🤬🤬Bought a vehicle and part exchanged a vehicle ..Left £100 deposit until they received the V5. Car shop lost the V5 for the part exchange. New V5 costs £25... carshop Refunded £25 to purchase a new V5. When New V5 arrived they only refunded me £75. So in effect WE had to pay for a new V5 which THEY lost.. Do NOT shop here especially at the Sheffield branch. Go to a reputable company.
