“No problem with shopping or delivery, although as there is a big choice deciding which cat flap can be a problem. I ordered a Staywell PetSafe 400 Deluxe Magnetic Cat Flap and an extension tunnel to fit it in a single brick wall. It seems quite well made and does the job it is meant to. I cut out the wall as the template and the tunnel fits in well. Now the problems; There is no means to secure the cat flap on the inside of the wall and no clue in the instructions. I had to dismantle the inner cover (not much of a problem it just clips off) and drill some fixing holes. Screw the cat flap to the wall and reassemble. It is only designed to clamp to whatever it is passing though but by adding the tunnel the screws are not long enough. They would have to be 5 or 6 inches long. The tunnel extension is supposed to be glued in place, this is not supplied and no clue is given as to what type of glue to use. I used UHU but a solvent plastic cement would be better. There are holes and blanking plugs for the outside cover, so just drill the wall and fix. The problem is there is an unsightly gap between the cover and the end of the tunnel if the tunnel were a little bit longer this would not matter so much but as it is there is gap enough to see the brickwork. I will fill this with white silicon sealant but dot think I should have to. All in all it works OK but not a job for the feint hearted.”

“The cat flap replacement was easy to fix and delivery time was quicker than anticipated, however, I wasn't too happy having my telephone number printed on the parcel, was this necessary? Overall I would probably get another replacement in the future . Just what I wanted. Thank you.”

“Good product which we have bought previously. However courier company let you down (Yodel). In tracking the item (as we were on annual leave so at home for the whole week doing internal DIY), it stated that the courier had attempted to deliver on 10/3/16 although no one either knocked on the door or left a note stating they had arrived. I went out at 1640 hrs.You rang and spoke to me at 1252 hrs on 11/3/16 asking if I would be as the courier had tried to deliver the previous day. I advised that we would be there all day. Once again no one arrived or left a note. In tracking the item, it advised that the catflaps had been left with my neighbour. This was incorrect, it had been left down the lane with someone working in a house (so I did not know them). This course of action was down to the fact that the driver did not wish to come all the way up a lane that has a tight turning circle. I have raised a concern with Yodel direct but they did not give you good customer service. kind regards Wendi”

“Hi very please with the timer function as no longer have to get up at 5am to let the cat out. Only negative is sometimes when the cats go out the magnet does not seem to be strong enough to close the flap after.”

“I haven't fully installed it yet - we fixed it through a wall which was much thicker than we thought. Have done a temporary DIY job of making an interior passageway. Have ordered the extra parts but haven't fixed them yet. Cats can come and go as they please and are happy they have an exit/entry of their own.”

“The payment method seemed to make del a day longer than was hoped - based on comments on website. not a problem to me but to three cats ! Fitting the new flap was OK but it does require a careful look to ensure do not try & push out old flap the wrong way. A simple guide might be a good idea to make sure there are no mess ups bearing in mind plastic mouldings are flexible to an extent but can crack - particularly if very cold. Thanks”

“This cat flap is really good quality and does its job well keeping other cats out. However our cat is having a problem getting used to the noise it makes when entering and exiting. I'm sure he will get used to it in time. It was delivered promptly taking only a couple of days from ordering.”

“It is surprising that the 'chip' template is different to the magnetic version. After all the tunnel is the same size. In the end our friend Ahmet resolved the problem by drilling a new set of holes; there were more than enough already but in the wrong place with regard to our double glazed panel. We capped the external screws with the old fittings. Internally they are waiting a coat of tippex. The door itself is sturdy enough and of the same quality as our previous one. 4 stars for all our trouble. Either a design flaw or a conspiracy with the glass manufacturers.”
