“The dates shown for manufacture and first registration were clearly wrong and that leaves you doubting all the other information. I emailed them to point this out and they jumped on the problem immediately, promising to let me know what had gone wrong and what the true data should have shown. They are clearly very serious about their data accuracy so with that in mind I'm revising my initial 2 stars to 4. It does look like an isolated incident.”

Hi Steve, we're working on our road tax inclusion - DVLA don't currently provide this for all cars but we're working on a way to display it for as many as possible. Glad you liked the rest of the car check, thanks for reviewing us and for using UKVehicle.com.

“easy to use, reasonable one anomaly - the check showed car as being manual, but being sold as an automatic (I will be seeing the car later today and will obviously find out then)”

Hi Robert, thanks for your review. What was the verdict auto/manual? We try our best with vehicle data but sometimes details such as gearbox or engine type are mis-recorded with the DVLA and we're only as good as the data recorded there I'm afraid. Thanks for flagging the issue and good luck with your purchase.

Hi Michael, thanks for your review - glad we represented good value. We don't check outstanding finance, principally because most of the providers who say they do, don't actually cover logbook loans (there is no register for this type of finance) and this is the most common car finance that causes an issue. As such, we don't charge the extra for this 'finance check' but do recommend you ask to see the logbook before buying and ask the seller to warrant against any subsequent finance claims that arise.
