“Came across this site whilst thinking of buying a particular vehicle, it gave me almost all the history/detail I needed to make sure the vehicle was "Right". Thank you, will use again if required in the future.”

“Information was inaccurate none of the adverse data was recorded luckily I did another check with a different site before buying which revealed the car was on finance and had a colour change will not be using this site again”

Hi Naseer, sorry to hear you're disappointed with our car check - we've dropped you an email to see if we can resolve these issues. To be really clear to others reading this, we don't check (or claim to check) car finance as the more expensive sites that do claim to provide these checks do not show 'logbook loans' - now the most common form of vehicle finance.

“I found that you had results for all the normal subjects apart from any finance outstanding which may have been checked but was not made clear that it was, other than that it was fine”

Hi Malcolm, glad you were happy with the normal stolen/written-off/colour change/reg change results. We don't check finance for two reasons - 1) history reports that advertise finance checks don't check for "log book loans" - the most common form of vehicle finance and we don't want to mislead that a vehicle is 'finance clear' when it's not. 2) We want to keep the essential costs down to our users and our experience has shown that people buying cars are most interested in whether they are stolen/written off so we focus on these checks.

“Much of the information provided was already known. I was very interested in the previous advertised sales but this did not expand and there was actually more information and images visible on the website for free.”

Hi Andy, thanks for your review. We try to provide as much data as possible to our users for free but we have to pay for Insurance Database, Police and DVLA data and that's why we have to charge our customers for our comprehensive vehicle history checks.

“The dates shown for manufacture and first registration were clearly wrong and that leaves you doubting all the other information. I emailed them to point this out and they jumped on the problem immediately, promising to let me know what had gone wrong and what the true data should have shown. They are clearly very serious about their data accuracy so with that in mind I'm revising my initial 2 stars to 4. It does look like an isolated incident.”
