Michael, all of our checks are emailed out on purchase so you can retrieve them at any time up to 30-days after purchase - it's worth checking your spam folder to see if the email has ended up in there. “Am still waiting for a reply as to whether the car is free of any finance dept. Which was the most important item. Plus there was a discrepancy regarding the registration date you said it was 2005 while the owner claims it's a 2006 ? Which is it”

“Almost all the information given could be gathered free elsewhere, but no important details such as where the car was first registered, or the names of previous owners. Incorrect information regarding number of former keepers. This is a complete waste of money - I feel that I've been conned, and very angry about it! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!”

Dear Chris, thanks for taking the time to review us - we've checked out the car check you've purchased and we've provided the same set of data that's shown in the example so we are a little surprised that you're angry with the result. Whilst some of the DVLA information is available in the public domain, we have to pay a lot to our data suppliers to access finance, insurance and police databases. “The mot history was unavailable for a 9 year old car. The only thing i wanted to check. When contacted reply came quickly that there was no online record and as an apology we will refund your 50% fee which was 2 weeks ago still no sign. The sample report shows the mot history so why cant they confirm if all info is present before they charge a tenner? Feel like being conned Got the mot history eventually by calling DVA for free over the phone”

“The vehicle report was very good, especially detailed information provided on past Mot's (details of items failed & Advisory notices). With regards to outstanding finance - there was an error in my report in that it said there was outstanding finance on the car when there was not. The car we purchased was an Audi whereas the finance was with respect to a Land Rover. I was able to phone the finance company who advised that the agreement mentioned was in respect to a Land Rover and not the Audi. The report is only as good as the accuracy of the underlying data. We are only humans and therefore there will be mistakes in data from time to time. The report on screen was very clearly laid out and easy to read, whereas the report e-mailed was just a load of words listed - not vey easy to read, so the e-mail, version needs to be reformatted into an esy to read version. With regards to cars listed on the site there needs to be a system of narrowing the cars down - colour, engine, spec, insurance group etc. - as with Audis there are 1500 listed - way way way way toooo many for any person to trawl through unless you have a week to spare, which with peoples busy lives, people wont have the time these days. Otherwise excellent”
