Absolutely hopeless. Zero communication from Chargemaster staff, no response to phone calls or e-mails. Needed the intervention of Renault UK to get an installation date organised. Surveyor gave wrong advice that necessitated additional electrical works in excess of £1,000.

It took ages to get a survey done, then once it was done it took ages to get the installation agreed. Finally they gave me 3 different dates (they didn't realise this was what they were doing - chaos). Once that was sorted out the engineer came and fitted it and as soon as he left switches started tripping all over the house every time we put a load on them, even without the car plugged into the charger. The office gave me a date two months ahead to fix the problem. Luckily, I was able to get hold of the engineer the next day and he offered to come back, which he did, without the office knowing. He started remedial measures but when his boss rang me up to respond to my complaint, not knowing the engineer was here, it turned out he was doing the wrong thing. So he had to start again. In the end it works fine now. But it was like dealing with the general post office before privatisation. Like they were doing me a favour. I was left with little confidence. Hopefully I won't have to deal with them again. They also sold me a charger lead I didn't need because it comes with the vehicle, and wouldn't take it back.

The office based part of the process was inefficient, chaotic & slow. Information already sent was requested again & again, calls & emails were not replied to, appointments were rescheduled. I still have not had the information regarding on-line access to data weeks after the installation was done The only redeeming aspect was the engineer who came to do the installation was excellent

Kept changing my installation date at the last minute, happened 3 times which led to 2 days of lost earnings for me. The engineer was rude and did a really sloppy job. Pretty rubbish all in all.

Luton telephone staff need re-training to understand that customers are important. Thankfully the installer was superb.

Poor beyond belief . A company that is supposed to be at the forefront of a new era run like an inept dinosaur with employees told to lie to the customer . Would I recommend you ? No .Have I bought a single drop of fuel from BP in the 2 months it has taken you to fit the home charger ? No I am stunned at how out of touch you appear to conduct yourselves ? But then again this a government backed scheme so should I be surprised ?

Ordered and paid by. BMW in March 18 Installed May 19 (14 months later) and have been unable to fully charge the car by chargemaster . Tried to get someone to listen but no one interested . Very poor service uncaring uninterested response .. Hugh Scott 07920 799626

Lack of communication, not knowing what's going on, too long a wait to have unit installed. Promised info by email and it never arrives ( some still hasn't). TOTAL SHAMBLES AND WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

The ordering and admin process at BP Chargemaster is slow unresponsive and generally an awful experience. I would never use them again. That said that, once we managed to navigate the process the installation engineer was outstanding.

Abysmal customer service, impossible to get a straight answer to a simple question about the various stages. Don't ask about an estimate they didn't exist (at least as far as I was concerned. Had to contact the car dealer three times asking him to intervene. That did no good.either. The eventual cable route was a poor compromise as we felt a trenched cable would be safer but ended up with it attached to a rickety fence. I forget the time taken for the installation as it stretched into months.

Awful communication, terrible customer service. I had to send requested documents in 3 times before they were received!! I was so shocked as I expected more from BP!

Waited weeks and weeks since initial contact for getting my charge installed. After calling several times I was promised a team leader would call me. Again it has been over a week and no one has. I have therefore given up and gone with a different company that has responded in hours not weeks. Looks like the priority for chargemaster is the BP network......

The information given was incorrect on several occasions. There was no understanding of the electrical system and an incorrect requirement for an additional isolating switch in series with the excising isolation was initially required. Totally unrealistic installation dates were also supplied.

Product Good. Installation engineer Behaved inappropriately and caused damage to my house. Excessive delays in getting this anywhere near a resolution.

Charger didn’t work, poor ground earthing. Blamed car, would not come back to repair. Left to fix it myself, not worth it!
