The installation was efficient and neat. The mobile app when referenced seems to double the charge usage when it goes over two days ie midnight. The kwh rolls over in a lump sum and therefore double the amount.

good communications, helpful engineer but note you need an additional earthing rod fitted into the ground which is appx a metre long!

Although all helpful folks I had to do too much running round finding people who could send photos by internet, arranging for two teams of workers form other companies to complete preparatory work before BP Chargemaster would arrive. As a confused old bloke I wanted one man to do the lot!

Efficient booking and fast installation. My only negative comment is that the box is rather ugly sideways on!

The electrician was very good and identified that the charging unit could not be connected to the RCD box, but had to install a new / additional RCD box by the meter. However, in doing so he had to break the seal on the main fuse into the house, but had no way of resealing it. It has since been very difficult to get the meter fuse resealed. It would be helpful if an electrician from BP Chargemaster could help.

The admin team organising the technical check and scheduling were really quite poor. Did not respond to calls, did not call back and seemed a bit out of their depth. I nearly changed supplier through frustration. However, glad I did not as the Engineer who installed the equipment was excellent, flexible and really customer focused (Please pass on my thanks)

Purchased a domestic EV charger. Good points: staff are friendly, and accessible; when the time came, an installation date was arranged quickly; the engineer was proficient and did a neat job. Bad points: difficult to get any technical specs of what was being purchased; extra work needed by my own electrician, even though he didnt have to do much; it was difficult to get a clear statement of what work needed doing and whether it would all work or not given our setup; BP Chargemaster charged an extra sum because we had an I-Pace (in contrast, Pod Point do not charge extra.)

The unit is good and was fitted reasonably quickly however the communication system does not work and I am led to believe it's a problem with my location and quality of signal, if this could be resolved I would be much happier.

The second gentleman who installed the charging point was excellent - the same cannot be said for the gentleman who came to survey the property

A pleasant chap that carried out the work well. It was however a good job i had cut and lifted some floor boards to make the job easier as the chap said he wouldn't have been covered to do that. So it may have made it doubtful the work could have been done that day. It would be a good idea to let customers know what may need preparing.

The admin side was friendly and helpful. Don't undervalue this as there is a fair bit of admin before and after to do with UK and Scottish Government grants. The installer was efficient, with plenty of discussion about what he needed to do and how best to run wires through an old house. I just wish the final job had been a little neater (cable conduit should be vertical or horizontal in my opinion). The charger itself is okay. We went for a cableless one. It's lockable which saves worrying about anyone else charging their cars at our expense. The unit's GSM connection seems intermittent despite being in an area with good phone reception and the BP Smartcharge app is clunky (why won't it let me stay logged in on my iPhone?) so we're using it as a "dumb" charge point and controlling charge through Volkswagen's far superior We connect app.

The electrician did a good job from a technical point of view but made a lot of mess. He did not use dust sheets and left us to clean up after him. He also damaged the wall when drilling.

Call centre didn’t always call back when they said they would but they gave quick and very good support when it turned out I had a looped supply and they completed a very technical questionnaire to my DNO on my behalf. The install of the charger was excellent and very neat and tidy, overall would recommend them to prospective customers.
