“Holding me into a contract whilst not collecting my bins, missed collections, charging me excess weight when they eventually turn up, and an hour and half wait on hold if you ever want to speak to their unhelpful robbing staff. Thanks for keeping in contract for 12 months with no return on my direct debits you take every month, which if you haven't already guessed, are in excess to the amount written into the contract. Everything you don't want from someone to empty your bins at cheaper waste. Avoid like the plague.”
“The review that the heading states the TRUTH. You would not know the truth if it jumped up and bit you. All the 1 star reviews are from genuine businesses. Any 5 star reviews must be from CW staff, family members and friends. You state they are fake reviews. Who broke the contract terms? You did cheaperwaste by not fulfilling your duty of emptying our bins. You expect people to pay for a non service. Ermmmm no thats not how it works. Let me educate yourselves. We pay you money to empty our bins on the day of agreement. You dont empty them or change the day of collection without prior notice. Well that a breach of contract. You are contracted to take our rubbish, you dont take it you dont get paid. Simplest.”
“Constantly had miss pick ups. Hours spent contacting cheaper waste and never got bin emptied once problem was raised. Clearly uninterested people work there and will not help and don’t care of any problems they cause your business. They won’t even let the bin providers speak to you directly and the bin providers are easier and more friendlier to speak to. Cheaper waste are literally a waste of time and money. Avoid at all cost and read reviews across a few sites to get a full picture. Don’t sign with them.”

My bin was supposed to be £18 +vat per collection and in the first month i was in shock that over £250 had been taken from my bank in separate transactions. no bin collections either so cancelled direct debit and called the company that own the bin as these are a broker and they told me Cheaper Waste cancelled the contract for my bin in the first month. 6 months on still got the bin still not been emptied. DO NOT USE!!! Not sure how they get away with all the fake 5* reviews they get as most of them are submitted on the same day!!”

Don’t get me wrong. While I had one particular company collecting through Cheaperwaste, it worked just fine. Unfortunately, they sold their collections business and so I ended up with a different company. And that’s when the mess started. I had my last regular (fortnightly) collection on 27/8/2020. When they missed the following one, I rang. After ages in the phone queue, I was told they’d collect on x date. That didn’t happen. And so followed weeks of ringing, being promised a collection and “full site clearance”, nothing happening, ringing again. No one ever rang back when they promised to, no one ever took responsibility for the mess or even apologised for the disruption. After spending literally hours on the phone over the space of 6 weeks, I cancelled my direct debit—why should I pay for something I’m not getting? That got me a few emails and someone who clearly hadn’t read my file told me that my collections had gone ahead as normal, quoting times that we aren’t open and that’s in my contract. The last I heard from them, they assured me I’d have a collection and “full site clearance” 22/10/2020. Despite several reminders (and letting them know this didn’t happen either”, I’ve had zero contact since then, except a demand for payment.
I’d cancel my contract, but you’re only allowed to do that between 3 and 6 months before the end of each year’s contract, and at that point I was still happy enough.”
“All I can do is endorse all that has been said by all the other unhappy customers who have left reviews! This company broke their contract with us by not providing the service we had signed up to! Instead of apologising and trying to rectify things they send in their ‘bully boy’ lawyers to extract massive sums from customers! Please don’t read the one review (written by the company themselves) that states ‘The truth’! They really are crooks and you’ll regret getting involved!”
“Avoid at all costs unless you want your life made a misery by these muppets. Salespeople spin you a good story making you believe your getting a good deal but forget to tell you about the hidden charges. Bin rental, excess weight charges, landfill charges, doc charge nearly doubles in price. Plus you are lucky to get your bin emptied, but you still get charged for it. Customer service is nil. They tie you into a contract that you cannot get out of unless you pay ridiculous amounts of money even though they have broken the contract by not emptying your bins. Excessive weight charges which they cannot back up with paperwork to actually show the weights. I was weighing my rubbish each time so knew I was not over weight but they still charged for excessive weight charges. If you want proof of how diabolical this firm is look on Facebook for unhappy customers there are over 400 businesses on there all with similar stories to tell. We cannot all be wrong. Plus Trading Standards of Newcastle are investigating them. This is just a small sample of the many troubles I have encountered from these cowboys.”
“This company took my bin away from me, i didnt ask them to. I heard nothing from them for 22 months until they generated an emnormous bill which consisted of last payment fines!! I wasn't in any debt with them until they took my bin away from me. I believe the my deliberately didn't contact me in order to generate a massive bill if nearly £1400! Crooks!!”

“I took out a 2 year contract with cheaper wasters, I feel like a mug ! Iv just stopped payments because they tripled my bin rent, sent me a new contract to be signed which they later Said was A mistake and tried to take more duty of care payments out of my account without my consent even after I questioned it, when it was in a email they sent to me, They said it was a mistake but they still took the money a month later. My month bin cost should have been about £60 a month they just tried to take nearly £200 out of my account ? Dodgy cowboys with out a doubt. Steer well clear !!!!!!!!!£!!££! “I signed up for waste collection from my holiday let. The sales person told me that I could easily contact them to start and stop collections. This turns out to be impossible because they never answer the phone. I was in the queue for over an hour then my phone cut out. AVOID.”
“Shocking company. On the phone for 1 hr and then they cut you off. Don’t reply to emails. Don’t collect bins and still take your money. I had no option but to cancel the direct debit.”
