“They don’t collect waste and then when you finally have enough and cancel they hit you with a massive cancellation fee. Even after paying the fee they tried to say I hadn’t and sent me threatening court letters. The timeframe to cancel is also ridiculous, not less than 3 months before the contract ends but not more than 6 months. Also cancelling for numerous none collections isn’t a valid reason to terminate. This company is the worst I’ve ever dealt with, avoid at all costs.”
“This company should be shut down and investigated, just check out the unhappy Cheaperwaste Customers Group on Facebook. They are outright crooks, who leave THE most relevant parts out of a sales pitch and contract, and then try to get you to pay extortionate amounts months after the collection has been made. They do not provide proof of excess weight charges, merely refer to admin errors. They have duplicate listings here which is not allowed I'm sure. We are fighting them all the way. Please, please do not enter into any contract with this company. They have been reported to Trading Standards.”

“We have cancelled as we have moved premises. They continue to charge us for £60 to collect the bin and a two year contract which we never signed up to. I can't email as they options on the website don't offer a cancellation, dispute your bill let alone a complaints option. I have written twice and received no reply. Their phone system assures me someone will be with me shortly but it is a 75 minute wait for a customer service member. Read the other reviews and do not get involved with this company nightmare”

“This is genuinely the worst company I have ever dealt with. Terrible communication, impossible to contact and extremely poor service.
My bins arrived in October with no issues, minus the bags required to store the clinical waste. I emailed Cheaperwaste to make them aware of this immediately, to which they responded to, but still the bags did not arrive until almost 2 months later in December.
My first invoice arrived, totalling over double the amount discussed during the initial sales call. I was also charged £96 for a duty of care certificate which I am yet to receive.
My second invoice arrived, charging me again for the two bins Cheaperwaste delivered shortly after I agreed to their service. At this point I had still received no collections, so chose to cancel my direct debit to avoid further incorrect amounts of money being taken from my bank account.
My third invoice arrived with a late payment fee of £40, despite my multiple attempts to contact Cheaperwaste to resolve the issues.
The fourth invoice included a termination fee and container uplift fee totalling £1,323. I had received no communication from Cheaperwaste notifying me that they were terminating their services, and had still received no response to my emails detailing the problems with the service (or lack of service) provided.
I then received a debt collection letter dated 6th January from a law firm acting on behalf of Cheaperwaste. The letter claimed that no disputes in relation to the service provided had been raised previously, which is false. Cheaperwaste unlawfully instructed the law firm to obtain over £1,600 on their behalf 2 days prior to the due date stated on their own invoice, 8th January.
Whilst I am on the subject of Cheaperwastes inability to abide by the law, I again mention the fact that Cheaperwaste, still to this day, have failed to provide me with a duty of care certificate as required under the Environmental Protection Act 1990. This has left me with no choice but to immediately terminate all services and seek a different waste removal provider.
I recently received a negative invoice, deducting the incorrect charges on my previous invoices and showing that Cheaperwaste are aware of their errors. I received an email shortly afterwards demanding that I pay immediately and reinstate my direct debit or legal action will be taken against me. I have received no invoice showing the amount I am expected to pay, only the negative invoice mentioned above.
In total I have received one waste collection in December, 2 months after agreeing to their services. I have been left with an overflowing clinical waste bin causing a huge health and safety issue.
Please stay away from this awful company! They are robbing and causing huge amounts of stress to small businesses during a pandemic. Search Facebook for ‘Cheaperwaste Unhappy Customers’ and you will find hundreds of people with similar or worse experiences.”

I signed contract in July 2020 and because I didn't know the weight of the waste I throw (who does) I was assured I'd be put on the right plan after I got my 1st invoice.
First invoice fine (I'm covered for 70kg) 2nd invoice got hammered with excess waste costs. I rang to query and get on the right plan for my needs. After 1 hour queuing was told the 'waste engineers' were insistent I was only using 15kg per week even though I got charged for 420kg for a 2 week period!!!! Then after 2 invoices at normal rate I then got 2 more at 4 times higher!
They LIED to me about how much waste I use to then hammer me with excess waste charges. I have 3 weeks rubbish pilling up which is turning into an environment health issue and its still not been resolved.
There are over 640 members of a Facebook page for unhappy customers of this despicable company and the reviews are shocking. At a time like this to exploit small businesses is criminal and I m looking into my options for taking these crooks to court”
“AVOID THIS COMPANY! What a whirlwind of an experience I have had with this company. Late collections, over charging, hidden fees, taking random amounts out of my bank and refusing to return it (they will never return money just credit that they never put on invoices) never give them a Direct Debit! In May last year they left me 6 weeks without any collection or information!!!! No service for 6weeks couldn't tell when my next collection would be or anything. I run a pet shop how the hell do I store animal feed with rubbish overflowing my unit?? Changed supplier to avoid getting closed down by environmental services (Thank God everything is fine now) and they have sent me a court letter for breaking my contract of service.... Don't know what service like because they stopped collections. Let's go to court then Cheaperwaste! Going to fight you with all the other unhappy customers! (Oh yes theres a Facebook group full! Go have a look! ) They do not care about your needs or services you require just the money they steal from you!!! Reporting to Gov and trading standards.”
