Hi Patricia, Thank you for your review regarding your purchase made with us in March of this year. I have checked back and we have not received any emails from you since you received your ring to say you were unhappy with your purchase. The ring you purchased was one a ladies Claddagh Dress ring that was Made to-Order in 10 karat white gold and set with an emerald and diamonds. The description on our website shows all the relevant sizes and dimensions so that customers are aware of these before making their purchase. The description for this ring shows the height as approx. 10.1 mm in the centre and that the band of the ring is approx. 2.4 mm. It also shows the size of the centre emerald as approx. 2.5 mm and the weight as 0.05 carat. There are 7 smaller diamonds which surround the centre stone and they are 1.4 mm each with a total weight of 0.10 carats. The Colour of the diamonds are H which is in the Nearly Colourless range and the Clarity is SL1. This ring also has a video showing it being worn to give a better idea of what it will look like on a ladies hand. We are always happy to answer any questions customers may have prior to their making a purchase to help them decide if the item is one they will be happy with. This is a very popular ring on our website as well as our shops since it was first introduced in 2009 and as it comes in several different variations we have had several wonderful emails from customers saying how happy they were with their purchase. The prices we charge on all items on our website are very competitive and the price for this ring is comparable with prices charged for other similar emerald and diamond rings in this style. “The pendant is wonderful,but the silver chain turns the skin black,and green had too buy an 925 silver chain to fix the problem.”

“The ring ordered came slightly marked and had a black spot. Unfortunately I left it too late to send back but would have expected some sort of quality control checks before jewellery is sent out”

“Very hard to deal with. Granted, very security oriented, but primarily, protecting themselves. The pictures are taken so to complement the product, real life items are much smaller than imagined from the pictures, real dimensions are not given. All in all, disappointing!”

Hi Cinthia, Thank you for leaving a review. I have checked your order and there were no shipping charges allocated to your purchase because it was over $500. I also checked to see if a member of our customer service team had directly contacted you at any point after payment for additional money owed on shipping and there is nothing. Could you please email us on info@thecladdagh.com with more information on the above. It is possible that you were charged custom & excise as your order was over the $800 limit, which it clearly states on our website. If this is the case and this is where the fees came in, then this is out of our control and is listed on the many different sections on our website including the checkout page. While a custom fee is sometimes applied, it is also important to note that as a customer outside the EU, you availed of tax free shopping here and your item was 23% less. “The ring is beautiful and she really like it. It’s just I had to pay a jeweler to size it correctly because it was sent to me incorrectly even though I specified the correct size.”

Hi Charles, Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond. We checked your order and the item was ordered in an American size 6.5. This particular item came from a supplier and the supplier sent us the correct size. It was checked on there end before it was sent to us and it was checked once it came to our shop (to be entered into our system and corresponded with your order - which is usually when we detect errors, if any to go back to supplier for the correct size) and again before it was boxed. It was check a total of three times. We received no email or any information from you regarding the size of the ring. If you had contacted us we would have resized for you free of charge. “The pendant I ordered was beautiful, but the chain that was in the box did not have one end of the clasp attached. It was never soldered to the chain. It was very disappointing when my wife opened her gift & could not wear it b/c of poor quality control.”

“i was to collect ring at 4pm on 17th this month,when i arrived to collect the staff could not locate where ring was,when it was located it was wrong size as stone was put in wrong ring.I then had to call back at 6pm to collect it.”

Although this is very rare, it can happen. We would also like to let you know that when we realised the mistake, we did our best to amend the mistake as quickly as possible. Our Jeweller left everything he was doing and began working on your ring immediately and even stayed late to catch up on the work he left to ensure other customer orders were completed in time. When you came to our shop to collect the item there was confusion on where the ring was because it was bought in our shop next door and so all the details would have been held in the shop in which is was bought- something we are currently looking into.
