I found C&P through internet recommendations -- I was looking for a retailer of higher end espresso equipment with strong commitment to ongoing customer service. In full transparency, I had some real challenges related to C&P's strict policy requiring live signature for delivery of items over a certain dollar amount (you should make sure you can be home all day on your scheduled delivery date). It was frustrating and almost comical for me in the end. But to C&P's credit, the owner, Matt, was very responsive and communicative during the process. And the machine finally arrived (Lelit Elizabeth) and is magnificent. I have high hopes for the customer/supplier relationship going forward.

We completely understand the frustration — and we do want to be transparent: a required signature on an $1,800 machine is something we'll never waive, as much for our customers' protection as our own. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase Cliff and pebble had the lowest price on the Internet on a DF 54 grinder and this thing is a beast. The reason the price was lower is because he couldn’t ship right away, but even with that being said they still shipped it way ahead of their timeframe top notch.

Cliff and Pebble was mostly great. Great selection of products, and I LOVE my Lelit Bianca. The only opportunity for them is to communicate better about shipping timing. The site advertises that most things arrive in 2-6 days, but my machine wasn’t shipped for 4 days and then took a week. I learned they were bench testing it, but because they didn’t communicate that, I did a lot of waiting and wondering. So I just recommend better communication between purchase and shipment for machines. But now that it’s here, it’s amazing!

Purchased a Lelit Bianca, and couldn't be happier. There were some hiccups, as delivery was delayed due to weather, but that's understandable. I also had an initial problem with the gicleur being broken and the flow control not working correctly, but luckily Lelit had sent an extra with the machine and it was easy to replace following Lelit's instructions on YT. C&P was also very responsive and helpful.

Updated review: The owner reach out directly to get my feedback after the review, he personally helped expedite the response from Lelit and received my new machine pretty soon after that. This shows commitment from them and that is why I'm revising the rating. The owner also indicated he will make sure the guidelines are followed so they can help clients with claims to OEM. Original review: I’m not happy at all, I received the espresso machine damaged and you just passed on the responsibility to Lelit, which are not responsive at all. I’ve submitted my claim 1 week ago and I’m still waiting for an answer. I wish you could get more involved and help your clients with claims to the OEM.

Hi Marco, We’re truly sorry to hear about the condition your machine arrived in and understand how frustrating this experience has been. Because this order shipped directly from the manufacturer, any freight damage claims must be opened and processed directly with them, which is why we advised you to create a support ticket with Lelit. That said, we absolutely do not “pass the responsibility.” We remain involved and actively follow up with the manufacturer to push for resolution. Unfortunately, this time of year brings significantly higher ticket volume for manufacturers, which can slow response times. We agree that a week is longer than anyone would like, and we apologize for the delay you’ve experienced. Please know we’re continuing to advocate for you behind the scenes and will keep pressing for an update until this is resolved. Our goal is always to make sure our customers are taken care of, even when a claim requires manufacturer involvement. Overall, I had a good experience. Somehow, my order got stuck in the fulfillment proces. But after I wrote a message to Cliff&Pebble, they replied promptly and got my order processed right away. That's what it's about! Mistakes can happen, and the follow-up is what matters!

I am very happy with our Eureka Mignon Libra Espresso Grinder. Grinding by weight is a luxury. The built-in scale is accurate and the quality of the grind is exceptional and easily adjusted. We got this grinder only for espresso. Although it is capable of a coarse grind as well, I do not recommend it. Fine-tuning is easy. Going from coarse to fine is not. The grinding is fast and quiet. I highly recommend the dosing funnel. Without it, coffee grounds tend to spill out on the counter. If I had read more carefully between the lines, I would have noticed that a dosing funnel was not included in the purchase from Cliff & Pebble. This did create a hassle for me that could have been avoided. I ended up ordering the funnel separately and was initially charged for shipping as well. Matt from Cliff & Pebble did arrange for a refund of the shipping. Some competitors do include the funnel with the purchase of the grinder. As a first-time buyer from Cliff & Pebble, I was provided a discount that easily covered the cost of the funnel. So, the only real additional cost to me was the hassle of multiple emails and phone calls. Specific language like "Dosing funnel not included" would have been nice. The bottom line: I am impressed with the grinder and recommend it. Matt from Cliff & Pebble was responsive and helpful solving a problem that could have been avoided to begin with.

My experience purchasing an espresso maker and Cliff & Pebble was very good. I wanted some guidance and advice on my planned purchase. I used their online chat service to ask a lot of specific questions to which I received quick and thoughtful answers that helped me confirm my choices. I ended up purchasing a Eureka Mignon Specialita grinder and La Spaziale S1 Mini Vivaldi ii espresso machine. Both are excellent products that exceeded my expectations. One wrinkle in the process though: Although the order was placed through Cliff & Pebble, it was fulfilled by Chris's Coffee. That's okay, but because I didn't know that was the process, the email shipping information came in confusing when I was expecting Cliff&Pebble but the notifications said Chris's Coffee. I recommend Ciff&Pebble because I believe they know their stuff when it comes to advising on coffee equipment and more. I'd give them four stars but there's always room for improvement, and the shipping thing threw me.

After reviewing your order, it looks like it was shipped immediately and arrived 4 business days later. For an espresso machine of the size you ordered, this is normal however we again apologize if transit times were not made clear. Due to the fragile nature and value of our products, expedited shipping is NEVER a good idea as they almost always arrived damaged. Should you need anything else, please let us know!

I never heard of Cliff and Pebble before my wife found a coffee bean grinder on it's web site. We paid more than I thought we should have for the grinder, however after using it, "it's a great piece of gear," as we'd say in the Marine Corps. Nothing but happy over the process and the product.

This was my first purchase of a high-end espresso machine as well as my first purchase from cliff and pebble. The experience was pretty straight forward and I had no issues. The packaging was very well done as I was worried about the condition of the product considering the price point and fragility of the machine and how far it had to travel. Thanks for getting me set up! Loving the machine so far.
