“DO NOT BUY ‘COOK FROZEN FOOD’.
It should stay forever frozen.
I have always seen these in their own separate fridges and thought, they must be really good. The packaging too I thought was very well done and enticing.
God, was I wrong.
The salmon and asparagus gratin was absolutely awful. The fish smelled and tasted off. My wife didn’t even bother eating anything else after one spoonful. The cottage pie, tasted like cardboard and bland as hell. Was even real beef?
I should have looked at all the reviews on here before buying any of the dishes.
I should have taken notice of the only people buying it were old people. I guess your taste buds disappear when you’re past 70.
Someone should close this company down because, the food is truly disappointing and horrendous.

“Awful service and I’ve not even managed to buy anything yet. Tried a few weeks ago to purchase items. Couldn’t get the site to accept my debit card. Checked with my bank it my card was fine, bank could see attempts were made to take payment but, your site, not my card or the bank was the issue. Called your customer service number and they couldn’t make it work either. Decided to try to reorder my items this morning and I can’t get through checkout as the only times I’m being offered for delivery are long after I need the items because some of them need to be removed from my basket. I’ve no clue as to which items you’re referring to so, the only option would be to remove everything, re add what I want and see if the delivery dates offered are any earlier. And all that is before we get back to the point where I attempt to pay again and potentially have the same problems as last time. I’d wish you luck but, from my experience and the reviews of others, don’t think you deserve it.”

Complained to Cook last month when we had a sub standard meatballs. Tgey insisted nothing had changed. Doubting that now.”
“Lamb Moussaka(serves 1) was so disappointing - mostly potato and two very small slices of aubergine with very little flavour. I usually find Cook meals excellent but this was awful and I could only eat half and put the remainder in the bin.”
“We had butter chicken curry. Would have been better with a stir in jar sauce. What little chicken there was was tough and dry the sauce was absolutely full of undercooked chunks of onion. Butter curry is usually smooth. It had no discernable flavour to make it butter chicken over any other generic orange coloured curry. Really disappointed- we got these for new years eve as a treat. Won't be buying from this company again. Over priced and under-deliverd.”
“Lamb Moussaka. Possibly the worst pre-prepared meal I've ever tasted. The Aubergine was the only flavour I could distinguish. Really disappointed. Certainly won't buy that again.”
“I first bought Moroccan Spiced Lamb Tagine & Gin & Tonic Semifreddo which were both enjoyable so I ordered a variety of dishes. Unfortunately each dish since has been more disappointing than the previous one. Tonight we ate the second last - Roasted Sea Bass & Romanesco Sauce £13. After cooking from frozen for 1 hour, as per instructions, I have never seen such a small, dry, shrivelled up sea bass. Potatoes & Romanesco sauce were edible. I don’t know whether to cook the last dish - Salmon & Asparagus Gratin for 4 @ £18 - or chuck it in the bin. Never again & definitely not to be recommended. Ordering process & delivery were faultless, shame the food wasn’t the same. Can’t help wondering where Trustpilot got their reviews!”
“I bought the coronation chicken £10 as I have done in previous years. This taste was totally different. There was no hint at all of curry flavor just an acid fruity taste. After defrosting and much stirring it was thin and watery with not much chicken. I don’t know what has happened but it was inedible. Having written to the company on their feedback form with the batch number and details and a receiving an automated reply of “we will be in touch”I am still waiting.”
“Steak & Red Wine Pie. ...SOOOO salty and sugary backtaste and upalatable. Having looked at the ingredients, no wonder. Paying 4.85 for 295gr is disgusting. The wine taste wa palpable and should not obvious. Would not recommend at all.”

“Just had the roasted vegetable and chickpea curry. No vegetables apart from cauliflower strands. Bought the lamb dupiaza for a friend for a pre Christmas get together dinner. That had two pieces of lamb in and then just mushy onions. What has happened to this company? So disappointed. Normally cook from scratch. No time at the moment. Wish I hadn't paid for this as an alternative”
“Have had many lovely meals from Cook, finding quality and quantity excellent. Tonight we had a new recipe fish pie. The fish did not have the variety as in the past and was definitely inferior quality with quite a rotten taste which unfortunately made me physically sick. Have you changed supplier? I have several other dishes in freezer and am now hesitant to use. What has happened to the excellent foods we have had in the past. The beef also seems now much inferior to the standard I had come to expect.”

“my son ordered from you as a treat for us new years day. the steak and ale pie had fatty bits and grizzle. chicken ham and leek pie was dry and tastless. the stew and cheese dumplings hasnt been tried as yet. nor has the chicken and mushroom. The pavola has got to be the worst i have tasted. put in the bin. so we as a family wont be using again”
