I can say that CoPart does a service for Insurance companies and themselves, but little for a buyer. While insurance companies badger insureds to pay the least they can, they also make every effort to get as much out of their wrecked cars as possible. CoPart facilitates that by providing the most limited information and the least amount of help or cooperation, while weedling and gouging for every dime they can get, with a fee for everything, to as stupid as a fee to actually come in and pay for a vehicle, versus online, even if there is a dispute. Basically I have found that if you are willing to accept that you will be treated like something that should be scraped off their shoe, with some effort, you can, if lucky, end up with a car, that is just marginally better than buying from some individual. CoPart provides limited ability to communicate with them even with the lovely website (where they will press and press to upgrade the membership.)Nothing will be in your favor, help from them is a dream that won't come true.

So frustrating. Copart was the company in charge of distribution of funds for my car that was totaled. They sent the wrong paperwork 3 times for electronic signatures. The agents were helpful but still the company was messing up again and again. It has now been 7 weeks since the accident and still no payment received to put towards a new vehicle and the wrecked car loan has still not been paid off. I asked for direct deposit to expedite the process and I was notified that a paper check had been mailed, so now another 7 business days.

All of the customer help need a refresher! I have been trying to get set up with Copart . I have a small business and would like to bid Mn. And other states. Paid for llc, got the ein number sent all my info and had paid for 250$ premium plus 400$ deposit. First it’s address doesn’t match-24 hours or longer , it’s the driver I’d ??? Not sure. Another 24 hr , I have corrected what is asked - ask do you need anything else? Good to go, yes you are! Nope now it’s have to get a ? License or permit from the city or county? Nothing seems that clear after all of this. When you ask good to go and find out 24 hrs later nope!! I will admit not to good on computer but fill useless on getting this right after each time I’ve talked to at least 7 different people to help from customer support- good too go lol nope!

Purchased a basic membership for 59.00 then I realized I could not bid in my state because I needed a broker. I then was on hold with your preferred broker Better Bid for 6 minutes waiting to speak to someone with a strong accent whom I couldn't understand and then had to call back again same wait time on hold. Then I finally got the staff to break down the fees for me and it went as follows. This was a buy now salvage vehicle price of $30,000 Copart's total fees were $2,338 the broker fees were $1,299 plus my premium membership with them a must have to bid on more expensive vehicles' (to keep the fees down) Total fees of $4,001. You cannot afford to pay these fees on salvage vehicles.

Same here. took us four weeks to get our bussiness signed up, and than have to pay up again so we can bid on more expensive vehicles. The fees are Stupid high, we understand there is a cost in doing business but that's insane !!

Copart Mobile in the past several months do not have but about half of the cars that are selling in the weekly sale pulled out of the storage area and placed in the sale area so you can preview them. So I make it a habit that if they can’t pull them to the sale area so I can look at them I just will not bid on them. Every other yard I have been to does not have this problem just Mobile. The Mobile South yard always has their cars so you can preview them they are great

Only buy if seller is insurance company Only buy if the seller is a insurance company. Bought a truck from Copart that look like it was not that badly damaged. Found out after I paid for it that a dealers bought the truck a month before me and done a little cosmetic work to it too make it look like it’s was not wrecked that bad and realist it on Copart to sale for profit. First picture was when dealer bought it second picture is how we listed it back for sale month later

Buyers service is pathetic we have never had a lisence expired and we are a premier buyer. They notified us that their copy of a dealers lisence was out of date so we had delivered copies of current license to the location a mile away. We continued to purchase vehicles the we noticed we were charged sales tax and moved to a buyers fee list that was same as individual members. 4 vehicles taxes and fees over our regular amount over 3000 which they said they wouldn’t refund the overcharged fees even though they had in their possession our current licenses prior to these purchases. They said the taxes would be refunded that was august of last year still nothing. The fact that you can’t talk to any heads of their financial departments to make your case all is submitted and forwarded to that person and wait for an answer all of which takes forever. They just keep putting you off hoping the issue gets old and you get screwed out of the money .

I'm just tired of company like yours lie to consumes I was so happy to find something cheap cause I need a vehicle but when the final price for the vehicle is reviewed I rather spend money money on Craigslist or buy From a junkyard cause when a price is set that what you pay not a gate fee not a buyer fee not an online fee no taxes on it if I buy a vehicle for 225 that's the price I pay no with all the fee you add to it total cost 800 dollar really in would like to see a company that trying to help people not rip them off

I buy from them because it’s cheap, but they hid damage as much as possible in their photos and if you have a problem, their support is non existent. My state requires an additional form to transfer out of state vehicles. Many Copart locations are fine with signing as the seller, but Dayton Ohio, and Atlanta West both have ladies behind the desk that refuse to sign them saying they only notarize documents for their state. If that’s the case, they shouldn’t sell to out of state buyers. Other locations within the same state will sign it so it just who’s behind the counter that’s the problem. They say it’s not their responsibility to sign it, but they have consigned to sell the cars as a seller and legally they are responsible for providing whatever documents are needed to transfer the car. Managers are useless and agree to whatever their girls say. I contacted Corporate headquarters and they said there is nothing they can do that everything is locally managed. My only recourse is taking the form to a Copart within my state to have them sign it. This is a two hour drive one way. All simply because they are unwilling to do the job they are paid to do that these locations. Sadly, these are locations that are closest to me and it’s really a problem for me.
