“The workmen arrived promptly and got on with the job, it didn’t take them long to install the window and it looks great. I give 4stars because they were not very tidy, I have had to take plastic out my gutter and remove silicone which had fallen onto my decking and stuck. Would I use this company again, yes I would.”

“CSJ provided us with excellent service. They removed our front window and replaced it with a beautiful picture window. The workmanship was first class and we are delighted with the result. They also covered all the room furniture and cleared all the debris. We have already noticed that we are not suffering from drafts. Thank you Paul and Margaret Lynch, Haddington. We sent our payment this morning at the bank. Let us know if there is any problem.”

“We had team 2 arrive on Saturday the 7th march to replace our windows , they came back Sunday the 8th. Well what can a say the boys were first class from start too finish . I couldn't believe the work they done in the time they were here . Jimmy , Stephen and Liam where first class workmen , they were great they even hoovered up after themselves I couldn't believe it . I honestly can't believe after replacing 9 windows and putting in french doors that I would be sitting in my cosy home on the same weekend. The team actually didn't stop from the minute they got here until they left . They are coming back to replace our front door this week I can't wait to see the finish result . Great service from the boys big shout out too team 2”

“CSJ fitted windows and door in 2018. We were very happy with the job including their follow up when adjustments were required. In light of our experience in 2018 we decided to award a contract to CSJ in 2019 to build a sunroom extension. CSJ estimated the job would take 6-8 weeks. Project management in the early stages of the contract was not good with poor coordination of trades e.g. all the plasterboard was fitted before any pipes for radiators were fitted. Some trades did not adhere to the building plans resulting in remedial work and loss of time. Poor scheduling of building supplies often resulted in trades having to wait on supplies and loss of time. After some 16 weeks a new Project Manager, Mr John Mclean, was appointed. At his behest a number of the trades and arrangements with building suppliers also changed. Mr Mclean kept us well informed as to what was happening with our project and ensured that the trades worked timeously to address the remedial work that was required and that the job was finished to our satisfaction. The job ultimately took 32 weeks. Whilst the job clearly took very much longer than CSJ indicated and much longer than we expected we are very pleased with the finished product which is of a high standard of workmanship.”

“New Windows to rear of property, sadly the weather was not the greatest on Friday 21st when Team 3 arrived, still they were real troopers and got on with things. They got the old Windows out in record time and were nearly done by 11, having a quick tea break then back into it. Any questions I had they answered, plus whilst I was chilling in the living room they respected this and used the front and back door to go back and forward and not coming into my space. Price was good and workmanship is excellent they also kept it as tidy as could only really rubble was left after dust sheets cleared and they hovered up all tracks it's as if we're never there.”

“Impressive quality products Helpful fitters looking to do a good job Minimal disruption Our door was supplied with a letterbox which wasn't ordered, but correcting the error was no porblem. Hence the four stars”

“The team (James, Bryan and Scott) worked very hard and completed the work in the time agreed. They were very tidy, kept the surroundings well cleaned up and outside was pretty tidy when they left too. It was a wet and windy second day which was quite unpleasant for them. Thanks lads...good job.”

“We had the guys call round Inverness so we arranged an appointment as the windows we had were ancient double glazed wooden frame. The salesman we had was ok he said a price and we said ok and did the application there and then. Once he had gone I had a look into it more and was clearly being over priced so make sure you tell them you will get quotes first. I cancelled my application and we then re agreed a much more reasonable price for 9 windows and a new back door. Anyway the standard of the work is top notch but there was some redeemial work required which was done over the couple of visits they did. Then there was a slight issue with back door closing stiff which they came up for but still does not close totally right, I emailed about this a few weeks ago now and heard nothing back. Otherwise would have been 5 stars. If you are thinking of using these guys be assured they are very good. I am not going to chase about the back door because I can't be bothered now and seem like I am being a pain in the *#@* 😂. Be sure you get a good deal and the payment options are diverse. Team 2”

“Central Scotland Joinery (CSJ) replaced the roof-line around both our house and separate double garage, four external doors and eleven windows. At the initial meeting to discuss replacement of our windows and doors, we were asked what type of job we wanted. We replied that we were not looking for the cheapest installation but a quality job at a reasonable cost. The installation took place between 24 June and 3 July, 2019. Whilst there were elements of the installations which were not entirely satisfactory and shortcomings that required further attention, CSJ were very prompt in addressing any concerns, defects and the inevitable remedial works for a project of this size, which was completed to our entire satisfaction on 2 September. In terms of end quality of installation, you can take some comfort that, providing you take a keen interest in overseeing the work being done, they have a willing work force who are keen to provide a quality job, albeit at the upper end of cost expectations. It is not unfair to say that there was considerable time pressure on our windows / door team on the final Wednesday, as they were committed to undertake a new job the following day, in the North of Scotland. Things were more than a little frantic! What tips can we give ? 1) Whilst we are now very satisfied with the completed job and the quality of materials used, this should not detract from good practice in obtaining competitive quotations from 'trusted traders' of comparable quality. Our preferred CSJ sales executive was Gavin Keith who was very thorough. 2) If considering roof-line replacement, insist upon Andy, Mel and Ivor carrying out your job, who were extremely personable, competent and thorough. Finally, a special note of thanks to Jack, the plasterer, George, the roofer and, particularly, Stuart, the engineer, who attended to any deficiencies in the installation and remedials resulting from it.”

“Delighted with my new window. Reasonable price for high quality item. Process was handled professionally and helpfully from initial survey to installation. Liam and Callum did a fantastic job of installation, leaving everything beautifully finished and tidy. Only hiccup was one handle arrived cracked and had to be replaced at a later date, hence not the 5 stars. Have already booked another window replacement from them.”

“We had 4 windows installed by team 3. The guys were courteous and ensured there was enough dust sheets down to minimise mess. They also cleaned up after. The only down side was one of the kitchen window locks was faulty. This was only noticed by myself when the team had gone and I was inserting keys. This window had been a bit problematic and having sorted initial issue out, none of us checked or noticed this other issue. Office was phoned but unfortunately unable to turn the team around and after some debate (originally said two weeks to get someone out) we managed to get appointment to resolve this issue this coming Friday. Bit of a downer given everything else was fine.”

“O/no 14548 This was the third time we have used CSJ. This time for a large kitchen window installation. Previously a front door/window fitment then patio French doors/windows. The installation team did work quickly and efficiently although in the process damaged the edge of a recently fitted worktop.... I didn't notice the damage until minutes after the fitters left (without drawing it to my attention) and reported it immediately on the phone Followed up with emailed photos. I was advised initially that CJS would arrange for a sub contractor they use, to come and repair the worktop. This didn't happen and after several phone calls I accepted a reduction to the quoted price and arranged the repair myself.”

“We chose CSJ for a second time to fit a further four windows. The installation was completed qiickly by the joiners and left the site clean and tidy. Special thanks to Steven Sherry, Davy ,Liam and the administration staff who assisted in the work.Special thanks to Stewart for his help in finishing the job.”

“CSJ fitted our wooden sash window and bathroom window in May, their guys on site were first class and all work was carried out professionally and without fuss even though the jobs were quite challenging, the team were two brothers plus an apprentice (never caught their names) but as a result of their good work it convinced us to go ahead with a second job we had been considering for some time namely the fitting of a Velux window in our stair ceiling, the team on site were David and Brian who carried out a first class job, again under difficult circumstances also the roofer on site George has to be mentioned, he was very professional and assisted greatly when the going got tough he kept a cool head and made sure with David and Brian that the problems were overcome. CSJ reputation without doubt is upheld by the hard work and professionalism of their guys on site. Mr Ian Stewart High Blantyre.”

“Our chilly living room had new CSJ bay window installed. A number of houses in the street have these windows too. The guys came when they said they would and it took no time at all. There was a bit too much sales patter we could have done without. There was a wee scratch on one of the panes but there was no problem in replacing it. So delighted were we with the new bay window we had the upstairs bay done too. Take that! north-east winds!”
