"What a terrible business model CVmaker has here. I am truly shocked that they don’t see that what they’re doing is bad for businesses. I can see, after reading the reviews here, that I have faced the same problem as everyone else. I purchased the CV thinking it was a one-off fee, and I had access to that for 7 days. However, now I have had £19.99 come out of my bank.

I have contacted CVmaker to ask about this, and they said it’s in their terms and conditions. However, this is where they’re wrong with their business model. CVmaker hides the recurring payment that will start when the 7-day period is complete in their terms and conditions, and that should be displayed on the checkout page and in the email you receive when you check out for the first payment. But it was nowhere to be seen, and that is the SCAM here!

So, be careful with this company, and I would avoid this company if you get the chance to read this before purchasing, because no one wants to deal with a company that hides a recurring payment from you. This means there is NO transparency here, and all they have in mind is to catch you out and get an extra buck from you. A good business will be honest from the start, and I can assure you this is NOT a good business because there is NO honesty here whatsoever!"

"Fraud- stay away! I cancelled a subscription, and they are still taking my money after I explicitly emailed on top of the cancellation. They promise they cancelled the subscription, but keep taking money. I reported to them to the bank as fraudulent payments. Awaiting a new card- no refunds from their side. All they keep saying: you will not be charged again…. And then they charge again. Criminals"

"If I can give no stars, I jolly would. And BEWARE of this template company! They provide you with no cancel option in your account and expect you to write an email to them to cancel - but this was NEVER stated big and clear to you at all from the start. And they have the cheek to claim you gave them the authorisation.

Unscrupulous business with no ethics and i’m damn sure they have deep internal issues going on. I wish them go bust sincerely.

Go and use resume.io is better. Legit companies who are honest provide cancellation options in the platform."

"SCAMMERS!! a misleading website called CVMaker.com when trying to create a resume. They advertised that I could access my resume for a fee of $1.95, but after entering my payment details, I was charged $25 without clear consent or warning that I would be subscribing to a plan. There was no clear indication on the page that I would be enrolled in a subscription service, and when I reached out to them for a refund, they refused. This feels deceptive, and I believe they are running a scam that takes advantage of users."

"SCAM!!! (UK) Did not realise I was signing up for a subscription service but luckily I used an almost empty card so it didn’t go through! Have reported it to my bank who has blocked any future transactions but I bet they will keep on begging me to pay after reading the other reviews

Haha not this time CVMaker !!! And Betty Williams can go kiss my a** :)"
