The platform charges you immediately for registration and then automatically renews your subscription just one week later without clear, upfront consent. There’s no prominent warning about the short renewal period, and it feels like they’ve designed the system to catch people off guard.
The product itself is basic—certainly not worth the cost—and the sneaky billing practices make it even worse. Customer support was unhelpful and dismissive when I asked for a refund.”

I have contacted CVmaker to ask about this, and they said it’s in their terms and conditions. However, this is where they’re wrong with their business model. CVmaker hides the recurring payment that will start when the 7-day period is complete in their terms and conditions, and that should be displayed on the checkout page and in the email you receive when you check out for the first payment. But it was nowhere to be seen, and that is the SCAM here!
So, be careful with this company, and I would avoid this company if you get the chance to read this before purchasing, because no one wants to deal with a company that hides a recurring payment from you. This means there is NO transparency here, and all they have in mind is to catch you out and get an extra buck from you. A good business will be honest from the start, and I can assure you this is NOT a good business because there is NO honesty here whatsoever!”

This website is a complete scam. I paid £0.99 purely for a single CV, only to find out they charged me £19.99 per month without my knowledge or consent. They don’t even send an email confirming this or warning those being feed for them to cancel it quickly, just to keep them in the dark and fully unaware of the shady activities going on with this company. No wonder there are hundreds of reviews reporting the exact same thing happening to them because who is willingly going to pay £20 a month for CV maker they only need like one time. Stay far away from this dishonest service. Don’t waste your time.

“Fraud- stay away! I cancelled a subscription, and they are still taking my money after I explicitly emailed on top of the cancellation. They promise they cancelled the subscription, but keep taking money. I reported to them to the bank as fraudulent payments. Awaiting a new card- no refunds from their side.
