Answered all the questions on compare site then when moved across to AiM could not get flood/storm cover despite being 500+ m away from river and one event 10 years ago allegedly caused by a mechanical failure at a pumping station. Appalling!

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. As insurance brokers we have access to over 50+ insurance schemes to enable us search the market for our customers so we can find them the right cover. Unfortunately on this occasion although your insurance company were unable to offer flood cover, this may be due to you living in a high risk flood area, we did manage to save you another £40 from the online price which was given and also provide all the other benefits your home policy gives. Unfortunately flood cover is not just determined if properties are close to rivers, insurers also take into account drain issues, surface water flooding and pluvial flooding.

sorry I did not go through for insurance through you and went with other company because your service very slow, renewal reminder time was very short and very expensive too

Overall quite helpful but has unusual practice of insisting pages and pages of document sign and post back.

Had a burst pipe phoned the emergency number, was told I was not on their system and would have to give my credit card details to get assistance just in case I was not insured . The whole process took over two months to process with continuous calls to loss adjuster who never answered my calls. Emails took over two days or more to get a reply. I would not recommend this company. They made the situation more stressful than it needed to be.

I have now decided to leave Deeside/Aim4agreatquote after several years of custom. I have five insurance policies with them and am removing them as they come up for renewal. There are several reasons for this; -I deal with all correspondence, payment and phone calls, yet they insist on addressing all mail, emails and phone calls to my husband, despite him never having dealt with them and repeated requests to have everything addressed to me. -All correspondence comes with a reference number, and not an address. When you have several policies you then need to start pulling out policies to check what reference number is which policy. I have asked many times if the address could be put in but no response. -The attitude and wording in emails is not consistent with providing good customer service. -When I said mentioned the above concerns, no effort was made to keep my custom, in fact I was asked if I wanted another policy, which was due, cancelling as well.

As usual you give a price that you hope we will take but when I asked you to price match it was not a problem .if I had more time I would of taken the tesco deal.

My insurance has always been renewed using the same dates & times as was used previously [albeit 1 year on] but this time the quote they gave went back a day. When I queried this as not normal, the advisor appeared not to understand & passed me to a colleague who just asked the date I wanted & refused to comment on what would be normal. As this has never been an issue before & they wouldn't be drawn on what was normal, I found the whole thing frustraing & extremly peculiar.

endless phone calls up to 3/ 4 times a day, reminding me my insurance was due, as if i did not know by the quantity of mail reminders.

Disappointing. Paid my premium though the documents you sent through were inaccurate. I have emailed you and two days later still no reply

Not to much however, there is a discrepancy in the information delivered orally and delivered in your e-mail, We have been away and so have not been able to call and sort this out. We are only just back last night and plan to call you tomorrow when my wife Kathryn is here.

The advisor was supposed to be calling back with further details and failed to do so. The other advisor with whom I spoke provided different, contradictory information about the same policy. I then had to provide all the details about my (rented) house all over again, for some reason, even though I had provided this last year and nothing had changed. I had to take time out of work to sort it all out because of the failure to call me back when I was available. Then, despite explaining that I am moving house in a fortnight's time, I was not allowed to build this into my policy now and will have to pay another £40 admin fee for the privilege of having to go through the whole process again when I move. The advisor was not able to answer my queries about my insurance in plain, comprehensible English, although from what I did understand it seems that I'm probably not insured for the things that particularly matter to me, i.e. my musical instruments, which I will now have to insure separately or just take the risk of having them uninsured.

I received notification that renewal was due two weeks before the renewal date, and was then called or emailed sometimes twice each day until I responded, a couple of days before the renewal date. This was extremely irritating and persisted even when I asked your staff not to, or emailed replying that I would review the matter and get back to them before the renewal date. I am sure most of your customers are very busy and see home contents insurance as a low priority; no doubt your policy is intended to wear them down so that they simply accept the quote without comparing against the market. Your staff themselves were very polite and capable and I am sure the above was a result of poor policy on the organisation's behalf rather than any failure of individual staff.
