“Bought a pair of shoes listed as W’s sizing. I already own different pairs from the same brand and these were huge compared to, they were clearly M’s. Tried to speak with the CS and explain the issue, however they said there was nothing they could do. At the question: I want to resell them but if a buyer asks “is this W’s or Ms?” What should I respond? They said to compare it with other shoes (I’ve clearly done that before the enquire 😂). However wanted to cancel my account and couldn’t because I need to wait 14 days after a transaction, quite ridiculous policy on this point. I’ve also paid for the buyer protection fee and got no help.”

“My daughter bought a t-shirt through the app. After finish the transaction of payment the seller is inactivated. We lost our money. Didn't know how to get our money back. Worst app ever. No tools to protect its own customer from the "shitty" Scammer who try to take the hard earning money from us. Terrible.”

“they kicked me off the site saying I was selling fake items. My items were not fake. They are authentic. They do not have true authenticators, but yet they feel they have the right to say what is real and what is not real. Not only do they kick you off for false reasons then they take the money from your sales and don’t give it to you. I have five star reviews from everyone I sold to. When I sold the StockX, they said my items were real. This is a bad site ran badly. They do not take care of their sellers. They do not take care of their buyers. I looked at the Internet I would’ve never sold through this company. If my review helps you one person I have done the right thing. This company is helping no one but themselves.”

“Reading your reviews. Your company has no ethics, morals or integrity! Your company doesn’t value your customers/ clients. Shame on you for allowing such theft going on and you don’t back up your sellers at all and you believe the lies from your customers. My daughter sold goods on your site and you allowed and took another person word over her documents, photos, receipts and she had proven to your company the TRUTH!! Unfortunately, your company is a big scam and you have folks working g behind the scenes and folks hard earn money for your petty fees. You have no business ethics to have your CEO call and resolve these matters instead, you send out a generic so called agreement and say oh well, and go about your merry way as you make millions because of your unprofessional practices ! I’m blown away of how you conduct your business and steal from your sellers.. God will see Justice served! I’m surprised your not shut down by the horrific reviews you have .. Folks should read the reviews before posting your goods on a shady website called Depop… What this says to me is .. you got POPPED BECAUSE I STOLE TOUR MONEY in nickel and diming folks hundreds of dollars and giving a customer( scammer) money back not to mention, the customer didn’t mail the goods back to the sender!! That’s called stealing which your buyer is In breach of contract on their end. Your company can’t be trusted!! Y’all need to clean up your act and pay back what your stealing customers stoled!!”

“Don’t use Depop. Someone hacked my account and siphoned hundreds of pounds from me. Depop wont reimburse or help me raise a fraud case against the hacker. They refuse to take any responsibility.”

“Hackers and scammers galore. A hacker took over £400 from my account and depop is blaming me even though it was their terrible security that allowed it. Scammers are everywhere and depop sells your details for less than £1 online. Don’t use them!!”

“Avoid at all costs! This site is full of scammers and they operate inside the app using hacked accounts. Depop are not interested in protecting their customers against fraud as they simply work together with these scammers.”

“I have tried buying from this site 5 times and ouy of those 5, 2 transactions were successful. The other 3 were scammers. I seriously advise that you stay away from this site!”

“I WILL NEVER BE USING THIS SITE AGAIN!!! I don’t use my account often if ever and saw an add on Google search that a cute bag was for sale on here. I purchased the bag got an email confirmation of it and not even an hour later got another email confirmation that they are suspending my account due to violation of terms of service and community guidelines. No expiations as to why and what I did. I tried logging into my account and resetting password and nothing happened. I decided to reach out to support as I have an outstanding order I have paid for. Their response was I was in violation and will not be able to appeal to get my account back. I replied and asked them what I did to violate and they could not give me an answer. I responded once more saying I have an open order that I have not gotten a refund for then and that I would like to know what I did wrong and they said this will be their final email and that their decision is final. I have no idea what I’ve done I’ve barely use this service to buy things off of. I don’t even know if I will get my money back now. What a joke and a scam. I will let everyone I know and write as many reviews on different websites and platforms to let everyone know what a joke this is.”

“Do NOT Buy from these SCAM ARTISTS!!! We bought clothes from them and when the package was delivered it had just wadded up paper inside and the envelope said it weighed 4 ounces by the Post Office!!!!! Any clothes would have weighed 30+ ounces so it is obvious this Fraud seller at Depop put Nothing in the envelope but paper and STOLE OUR MONEY!!!!!!!”

“Don’t trust me I was selling with Depop for over 5 years , all of student , some scammer purchased an item form me , opened a case that the item is not authentic , but in a message to me just said he wants to return because it does not fit him . Next day he opened a charge back with the bank saying he did not make a transaction . Depop tried to Hit on me , they suspended my account , started asking for a proof of purchase ,which I provided , was not enough , they just blindly believed a new account with no purchase history who decided to scam me. I am just shocked . So far , no money , no item , of course the buyer did not send an item , Depop just stoped replying . Stay aware , terrible company to sale with”

“Awful service - please save yourself and use other platforms such as Vestiaire and Vinted. It is not worth the risk - the company provides no protection for it's customers. I paid a significant amount for an item - the item was marked as delivered by Evri including a proof of postage image of a parcel in front of a letterbox saying it had been posted (notably, my settings do not deem letterbox postage to be safe). The parcel was not on the inside when I arrived. As the courier had said the item had been delivered, they said they can offer me no compensation (as if the couriers word is without a doubt true). There is no formal complaints process and their customer service gave generic responses despite me trying several times to pursue an appeal. AVOID. I have been a loyal customer for years in both selling and buying, and have never raised any issues.”

“The ABSOLUTE worst decision I made as a small business was getting this app & trusting Depop. Starting a small business of selling handmade goods and styles bundles I had to invest ALOT of money on supplies. I choose Depop since the consumers seem to match the aesthetic of my business. Within weeks my sales are crazy high when I randomly get a warning email from Depop that I am spamming people (which I literally never did?) and was taking my sales outside the app (also never did and they could see through my account). Before I can message them and clear the confusion 4 MINUTES after that "warning" my account & my DEVICE are totally banned. Why delete my account 4 minutes after the warning? I didn't even have a chance to message any of my buyers. I appealed it, never heard back after WEEKS. Did everything I could to reach them, never got any reply. I did get 15+ emails telling me my buyers wanted refunds. Yeah I wonder why its not like banning me from the app means I cant access the shipping labels and send them their stuff. Bye bye sales, savings, and my small business for now.”

“This company has wrongfully suspended my account with 160+ sales, all 5 star reviews and 1-day shipping time. They sent me no reasoning as to why my account was banned. I had to reach out to the company on Twitter and still wait another day. They emailed me with a generic message saying I violated the terms and conditions and sent me the link to their entire terms and conditions to figure it out myself! I have always conducted professional business while using this app. The company has $360 of mine being withheld even though I communicated with those buyers and shipped out their items the very next day. There is no way for me to access my account or even talk to a real person at Depop. Beyond frustrated with this experience.”

“Don’t waste your time. The seller incorrectly listed the shoes that weren’t event new, I contested and Depop wrote 8 emails with completely diff responses that had nothing to do with what I asked and then denied the request even though I showed proof it was not the size I ordered. What a joke, don’t waste your time!!!!!”
