“I listed wristbands that would fit the Apple watch without mentioning they were Apple wristbands. They first immediately suspended my account. I appealed, and they blocked me permanently. After a long time of creating a huge following and 5-star positive reviews, it is all gone in a flash—hundreds of items listed because of one post that had nothing to do with Apple. Someone must have had a bad day at the office. Unfortunately how they treat people affects individuals massively, but to them, it doesn't matter much. Heartless individuals.”

“I have been selling on Depop for a few years now and sold many things, lately Depop has been specifically targeting my account and posts. They removed a post of mine and suspended me just like that. They said I had “prohibited items”on my account, as if I had drugs or something. Well the band shirt the removed, I submitted an appeal for, claiming Depop was wrong and that they didn’t need to remove my posts. The never responded after 5 or 6 emailed appeals. They FINALLY answered after they threatened to refund buyers through my PayPal, after I told them they don’t have my permission that I could complete the sale if they’d just unsuspend me. They refused. Now my Depop has 100s of dollars in items I’ve sold, and sales I cannot complete to be paid because of Depop. Depop is not giving me back my funds and refuse to answer my numerous attempts at contact. Do NOT use Depop. This problem alone shows me what kind of loyalty they have for sellers. I’ve sold over 150 items and received 100+ all 5 star reviews and still they act like I’m some terrible person who doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.”

“BEWARE: AVOID Stay away from depop and use other established selling platforms. They randomly flag/ban people without providing a reason, regardless of whether you have a pending sale. They say that they will delete your account upon request but will refuse to do so but will refuse to do so when asked and retain your personal data indefinitely. Be cautious before providing your personal data and bank account to them. Also, their help desk is a joke and offensive.”

“Love depop and I have no complaints at all. I really think if you sell by droops rules and do what you are supposed to do and be honest you wouldn't have any problems with depop. Sorry you all want to blame the depop company when if you listen to your story most of you caused your own problems. Myself I have really enjoyed selling on depop and I have met a lot of really nice people Thur the depop app .I want to say thank you all at Depop for making a great app to selling and buy on . 💕 Love 😘 Love 😘 you all.”

“These people are unprofessional and very poor operators. I was suspended with no prior notice for selling what they claimed was a counterfeit item. I responded with many close ups of the item perceived as fake. The item is NOT counterfeit! The only reply they come back with is "This should be a tagged photo of your original purchase receipt in full or if it was a digital receipt it must be in your name, to your email address, showing the item as being shipped to your address." It is obvious from this request that they do not want to rectify the situation as I would guess 98% of the sellers do not have this information for their items. This is the most egregious issue I have had with them but they are always unresponsive and do hide behind their limited "canned" responses. I have seen where others were suspended and not received payment for previously shipped items. Stay away from Depop!”

“worst sales website ive ever used. wish i could give zero stars. really not customer/user friendly. no penalty for time wasters and people who dont follow through on offers. horrific customer service team who take ages to get back to you and solve a problem. loads of annoying policies and restrictions on the app. everytime you edit an ad or change the price it goes up for review again and gets removed from your profile until its approved even if its the same ad. wish i could get back wasted time”

“I'm so annoyed with myself that I didn't come here and read the reviews before buying something on depop. I got suspicious when the evri tracking history still said they were awaiting my item after one week. Then I sent a message to the seller with no answer. Then I went through the depop app requesting a refund. Next time I checked on the app, my seller has deleted their account! So, definitely was scammed out of £20. Do not buy from depop - how can they claim buyer protection when they allow a seller to delete their profile/account in the middle of a refund request?”

“Shocking used for months sold lots of item s and sent an item the buyer 3 wks later reckons it doesn’t work probably broke it and without messaging me depop refunding the scammer disgusting no sellers protection do not use and am taking them to the financial ombudsman”

“Very bad for selling!!! They remove listings for no reason - the children can understand that my items are genuine (serial numbers or certificate) but Depop team doesn't think so... At the same time, you can find many fake listings - Lady Dior for 120 or Dior Saddle bag for 160(???) and they don't remove them! Why??? Why for my GENUINE items is not possible, for ather people with VISIBLE FAKE ITEMS it's possible?? This is a double standard. I am a good buyer and good seller but definitely they will loose me as a customer. They forced 2 of my favorite sellers to don't use the site anymore! I am thinking to do the same. VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED!”

“Ordered, paid 17 days ago. Got an email to say item 'shipped' 11 days ago. Since then nothing but silence. It was a cheap little item luckily. But never again - Depop not for me I'm afraid.”

“Do not use this company. Bought a coat with a hole in - described as overall good condition. I do not think good condition means a hole. Depop obviously does think a hole is good condition as they would not refund and were not interested. Have read so many bad reviews - wish I had seen the reviews before making a purchase. So I add my review to warn others not to use this company.”

“0 stars. SCAM, DON'T TAKE THE RISK. SELLER & BUYER BEWARE!!! After making a simple mistake in listing description, my account just disappeared and I got the shock of my life to see it was immediately and permanently closed, with NO Warning, after I'd just bought 2 items on it. I pleaded my case and begged for them to reactivate my account. They had the nerve to say: "I posed a threat". Why because I made a mistake? I have a clean Police record and am an honest, reputable seller, proven by my 100 percent seller ratings on THREE platforms: Ebay, Facebook AND Gumtree. My well written Ads and professional quality photos PROVE my professional sales experience. Why didn't Depop simply alert me and issue a warning for my mistake and just remove the incorrect listing, instead of taking the EXTREME , HARSH and unnecessary measure of PERMANENTLY closing my account and me losing all my items that I worked SO HARD to create for the last 3 months, so my daughter and I can eat? I'm a single Mother and need to sell my clothes and possessions to survive. WHY didn't Depop warn me first and simply remove the incorrect content and temporarily disable account, to ALLOW me the chance to fix it? Depop contradicted it's OWN terms below: 1. immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal 2. immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any User Content 3. issuing of a warning to you. Don't trust them, I did and got burned. Explains all the bad reviews and 1 star trust rating. My items were the best quality on there. Most of the clothes are crappy old junk. Congrats Depop, you've lost ANOTHER customer and earned ANOTHER terrible review. Dishonest SCAM company that should be SHUT DOWN.”

“Do not sell with depop! they can get your account blocked with their beliefs tbat the item could be fake! the thing is if the person received it. depop keeps the money for 10 days. if they block your account they will not give you back your money! it is so illegal to keep your money after you have only 5 stars reviewed by customers ! they have to give me over a 100 £ !! and they dont want to !!!! their website must be taken down !!”
