“I recently purchased the light that included the free filter kit. The light came in handy when the Boy Scout Troop I was accompanying arrived at a camp site during the late evening. The light was easy and quick to set up, and provided sufficient light to help set up tents. I tried the light and medium filters to avoid the bugs, but they were still attracted to the light. I had other Scout parents ask me about the light, as it was easy to set up and use.”
“The Stand is sturdy and compacts down very nicely into the provided bag, the reason for 3 stars is that the clip/locking mechanism is very poorly designed, and the u/v shape of the pin does not allow for the locking pin to push through the hole to hold the light in place almost every time. because the base is sturdy im not as worried about the lamp staying on top of the pole when stood straight up.”
“What a truly neat piece of lighting equipment for overlanding. I great alternative for lighting with its filters for every situation.
Easy to use and top of the line.”
“The light is very nice but not easy to use. To turn it on or off or t change brightness you must take the light down. Most inconvenient. It is about time you guys came out with a remote control. I own one light and would definitely buy a second if it came with remote control.”
“Light is great. Wish Devos bundled the lens pack with the light, as I had to buy them separate. Also, wish the stand was a little shorter or able to collapse into a shorter rod length when storing it in the vehicle. It’s a little long as it doesn’t stow away easily because of its length. Overall great light and functions great.”
“Fantastic light that's worth its weight in platinum. There are only two things I'd nitpick on it.
First, I wish they had integrated bluetooth into the light so you could adjust the intensity/brightness without physically having to get to the light itself.
The second minor nitpick is that the tripod is a bit low-quality. This is coming from someone that has a ton of photography light stands and even the inexpensive models I own are better made than the one Devos ships with the light. It would be much more user friendly if Devos Outdoor had used a universal photography light mount on the bottom of the light rather than the proprietary setup they currently use. I know that their outdoor light isn't for photography; however, those tripods and mounts are easily available and allow for various mounting setups in whatever outdoor adventure you might be going on.”
“Pretty impressive and in fact I was blown away at the quality and functionality of the lanterns.
DEVOS LIGHT RANGER REVIEW
https://youtu.be/AEsxixTWcO4”
“Leaving a 4 star review only because of the light stand. The light itself is awesome. It is very bright, last a while and is quick to charge. For the price I see where they cut the money of the light stand but overall a very good light and I will own more.”
“I love it the only problem is the connection on the bottom where it snaps onto the pole. The ball that secures it is misaligned and there’s no way the ball meets the hole to properly secure it in place.”
“I like the versatility of the light. It's great for camping of course, but also jobs around the house or in the garage. I'm sure I've only scratched the surface. It's easy to use and quality seems good. At first, I was skeptical of the tripod stand, but I was able to test it in 25 mph winds and it was very sturdy. The filter kit is a good add-on if you're camping to avoid attracting flying insects. I see myself purchasing a second Light Ranger soon. I'm satisfied and recommend this product.”
“Hello, I ordered a light ranger a long time ago, fell in love with it. Since then I bought another one. Everyone had been asking about them. Awesome light!!!”
“Light is very bright, lightweight, and relatively compact. Purchased with the colored filters in order to get red and amber light. Only had this a few weeks, but seems to be high quality. Would recommend. 👍”
“Love the price point and the quality of the light and its power. The tripod needs a beefier design. We use the light for work and with multiple people setting up and taking down, the tripod is flimsy and I can foresee issues.”
