Terrible decision… save yourself the drama and take your business elsewhere

Paid alot of money for our sofa and chair. Arrived all looked well. 2.weeks if wear and the sofa looks 10 years old. Seams are distorted, fabric is stretched and worse of all the cushions /foam. have now almost collapsed so we feel like sitting in hols on the furniture base. We reported this asap and within the 90 days so awaiting replacement foam. I would never purchase anything from DFS ever again and will stick with oak furniture land. If the foam.is as low grade as the original foam then sorry to say DFS you will be having the sofa back Unfortunately I was unable to.upload.the shocking photos as the system would not let me. Buyer beware

I'm utterly disgusted with DFS Sofa Company's appalling disregard for their customers. We made the effort to attend our appointment only to be met with complete indifference. Is this the pitiful standard of service DFS deems acceptable? It's time for DFS to wake up and start prioritizing their customers, rather than treating them like insignificant inconveniences. In the end of the day we pay your salaries but if you do not like my money we will purchase somewhere else.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Ordered my bed for delivery on 16/3/24. Looked at my order and it said delivered. Called DFS to query this to be told delivery was cancelled and to call their delivery service. I did this bit they were no help. Called DFS again to be told they had communicated cancellation on 12/3/24 to me which they had not. The woman taking the call said I would be due some compensation and someone would be in contact about this. Today I have confirmation that delivery will be Friday but have had no communication from DFS regardinging the compensation. So I recalled them to state yet again no one has contacted me about the compensation to be told I am due nothing. Therefore not once but twice they have failed in their communication. On the original date as I believed they were still delivering that day I arranged disposal of my old bed. Due to non delivery my disabled partner has had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. I have never recieved such bad customer service as I have done with this company. I will find every review page possible to copy and paste this to.

I am having the worst experience I have ever had with any company I have ever purchased from. the managers are passive aggressive and are the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with dfs have damaged my sofa and it’s deteriorating on a daily basis and is not fit for purpose they think it’s acceptable to try and complete major repairs on a brand new sofa I have had 3 separate workers visit my home and one damaged my sofa trying to get a so called packing mark out with steam heat and an electric drill brush which damaged the covers it’s fibres are flattening daily and the material is sagging the frame is insecure and the seat is sloping it was delivered in October 23 the worst decision ever to purchase from dfs still no resolution last manager basically said deal with it nothing we can do if you don’t do as we say waiting for regional and I’m now seeking some legal advice

Just look inside a dfs sofa seat cover. The finishing is amazing, and so is the amount of thread I trimmed out of just one of 8, which are all the same! Just remember when looking at sofas open zips and look inside before purchasing. Will never use again .

Just somethings for DFS Limerick to consider. I BOUGHT A SOFA WORTH 7130 EURO FROM DFS LIMERICK IN AUGUST 2023. WITHING 3 WEEKS THE FABRIC HAD WORN OUT. I COULD JOT BELIEVE WHAT HAS HAPPENED. IT IS MARCH 2024 AND IT HAS NOT BEEN FIXED YET. 1.IN THIS EMERGING AND READILY EVOLVING MARKET SPACE WHY ON EARTH DOES ANYONE HAVE TO RING THE UK TO GET A MESSAGE ACCROSS TO DFS IN LIMERICK OR GALWAY OR CORK? I FIND THIS HIGHLY DRACONIAN IN NATURE AND NO ELEMENT OF REASONING IN IT. 2. I FIND DFS POLICIES STIFF AND LACKING IN FLEXIBILITY THAT ATTRACTS AND APPEASE CUSTOMERS. NO ROOM FOR SIMPLE AND LITTLE PERKS THAT GIVES AND GRANT CUSTOMERS GOOD PURCHASING EXPERIENCE. 3. YOU MODUS OPERANDI ARE NOT EXPLAINED TO CUSTOMERS. I WALK INTO A DFS STORE IN LIMERICK BUY A PRODUCT AND AN ISSUE ENSUES AND A I FIND MYSELF DEALING WITH A MANAGER IN GALWAY. THIS INFORMATION SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT MY FOREKNOWLEDGE BEFORE MAKING THE PURCHASE. 4. WITH HOW STIFF AND RIGID YOUR POLICIES ARE AROUND YOUR PRODUCTS ONE WOULD EXPECT NOTHING LESS BUT PERFECTION. BUT THAT EXPECTATION WAS DASHED AS PROVEN BY THE NO FIT FOR PURPOSE LORENZO SOFA I EXPENSIVELY BOUGHT FROM DFS LIMERICK AND IT IS A SHAME. I EXPECTED MORE GIVEN THE DEGREE OF RIGIDITY I ENCOUNTERED OR WITNESSED WITH YOUR SERVICE.. 5. IT TOOK ABOUT 8 OR 9 WEEKS TO GET AN UPHOLSTERY CHAP OVER TO ASSESS A SET OF SOFA I BOUGHT. THAT ITSELF IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. IT MEANS AS A CUSTOMER I AM NOT IMPORTANT OR VALUED OR YOU DO NOT APPRECIATE ME AS CUTOMER. THESE ARE YARD STICKS THAT HAS MADE ME LOST FATE IN DFS AND AND INABILITY TO RESOLVE AN ISSUE IN A WELL AND TIMELY FASHION BY THE MANGER I GALWAY. HE MESSAGED ME SAYING A TECHNICIAN WILL CALL OUT TO MY HOUSE ON ARIL 8. DFS IRELAND IS JOKE. 6. THE MANAGER IN GALWAY DECIDED TO PROCEED TO ORDER A REPLACEMENT COVER FOR THE WORN OUT SOFA SET I BOUGHT LESS THAN 6 MONTHS OF PURCHASE WHEN I CLEARLY TOLD HIM WHAT I WANTED. MY OPINION ON THIS SOFA DID NOT MATTER TO HIM JUST TO ADD. THE ISSUES IS NOT THAT THE FABRIC HAS WORN OUT. DIFFERENT FABRICS WERE USED IN COVERING OF THE SOFA. I HAD SENT PICTURES TO THE MANAGER ON SEVERAL OCASSIONS HE STILL THINKS A REPLACEMENT COVER IS WHAT I NEED. THERE IS NO UNIFORMITY IN THE FABRIC OF THE ENTIRE SOFA. NOT ONLY DOES THE SOFA NEEDS A REPLACEMENT COVER. THE ENTIRE SET NEEDS REPLACEMENT COVER INCLUDING THE BODY AND THE FRAME. 7 WHEN I TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 4 SEATER SOFA WILL HAPPEN TO THE OTHER SOFAS HIS RESPONSE WAS THAT "WELL WE DONT KNOW THAT YET". I WAS BAFFLED BY THIS . IT TELLS ME HE DOES NOT KNOW HIS PRODUCTS OR HAVE CONFIDENCE IN DFS PRODUCTS. I KNEW THIS PRODUCT BETTER THAN HIM 8 I DEALT WITH A STAFF IN LIMERICK WHO WAS SO UNEMPATHIC TO A DIFFICULT SITUATION DFS HAS PUT ME IN AND HE LACKED CUSTOMER FOCUS CENTERED APPROACH. THESE ARE MY THOUGHTS SO FAR ON DFS VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH DFS AUGUST 10TH 2023 TO MARCH 2024 AND STILL ONGOING. ISSUE NOT RESOLVE (8MONTHS).

What has happened to customer service and satisfaction, DFS phone line is awful you cant get through to individual shops whoever answers are no help whatsoever DFS deserve to lose custom 😡

Don’t buy any sofa from them the warranty you buy from with the piece of paper it’s written on The company is Gaurdsman look after the warranty DFS sell you the sofas warranty which aren’t worth it

What went right?. Nothing after purchase. For a start the sofa came from Poland not here. Delayed once then second time, third then forth. Poor apology from customer service. We were lied to and treated disgusting. Was offered a luxury hamper on behalf of the manager at Romford and an appollagy, you guessed it the hamper never materialized neither. Lie after lie after lie. Well done DFS. 30 years of custom. Fish pools next time. Shame on you.

As a ex employee I can only recommend that you shop elsewhere The sales staff are under considerable pressure to up sell & sell extras Be aware of them selling fabric & leather upgrades, leather & fabric protection, care kits, glides for your floor, footstools, then pushing you to buy dining furniture There is also pressure on the salesperson to get a charity donation and good feedback when responding to a after sales email

I bought a sofa from DFS Spain and recently needed the sofa arm repaired. For the last 10 weeks due to lack of response by the service Spain/ Web team I have had to contact by email and telephone but the customer service team to escalate/ update my request for repair due to no direct number to Service Spain dept . There promise of 72 hours response does not exist ..

AVOID AVOID AVOID! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! Absolutely awful!!! Ordered 2 sofas online cost over £4700. Within 4 months the recliner failed, told it was a motor. Had to wait over 10 weeks for the part and have it replaced. At the time told DFS advisor not happy with the sofas, she first of all had the audacity to try give me the third degree about the sofas and then said a store manager will call within 72 hours! 72 days later, STILL NO CALL! Less than 2 months later, the same recliner making a noise and dipped. RAISED a section 75 and low and behold they've called me! Only to say they gonna do sweet FA, but we'll send a service manager out! Like leaches when you go instore, but they don't want to know when things go wrong! Paying for a BESPOKE sofa that has failed within 4 months and uncomfy like hell! All they do is shove the 2 yr manufacturing warranty down your throat! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! IF YOU CONSIDER BUYING FROM DFS, YOU MIGHT AS WELL THROW YOUR MONEY DOWN A DRAIN!!!!

Purchased 2 leather sofas after a short time leather saggy After 3 different men coming out and one padding the seat to make it higher that the next one at the side of it Went to ombudsman and they ruled in favour of DFS saying they should be given another opportunity to fix it No thanks I didn't buy to have to keep having repairs done so I paid the £115 court fee and served small claims papers on DFS within a week they collected the sofas and then the following week a full refund was issued including everything I had spent and the court fee Never again

Bought Juan sofa thankfully for the conservatory and from delivery it stank of a garlicky smell. Left for a few weeks to see if it went away and it only got worse. Rang main number and they sent a technician to spray with deodorant (a month after our phone call). All well for 48 hrs then back to square 1. Spoke to trading standards and they said I could invoke my right to refuse as it wasn’t fit for purpose. Long story short DFS insisted that I gave them second chance to fix and tricked me into allowing them to order replacement covers. They then said that as I had ordered the replacement covers they were allowed to fit them. I told Hanley branch manager (Clare) that I would take this to the ombudsman as recommended by trading standards. She said I could take it higher with DFS but they’d only revert to her and she was not prepared to refund us. Ombudsman backed DFS and we’re just a box ticking exercise. Is there a DFS director on the ombudsman board? Very poor would not recommend at all although so far the new covers seem to have fixed the odour issue but any pleasure in the new sofa is long gone

Purchased 2 x Amersham sofas in early May 2023. The smell of them was overwhelming and we were unable to use the room for a full 4 months. DFS took away the sofas and aired them but it made very little difference. Eventually they agreed to replace them. The delivery guys said there were other cases and the independent assessor confirmed that this range had an issue with the fire retardant chemical. A full 9 months later we have just received the replacements (Feb 24) and a derisory £100 refund which for me is insufficient for 4 months of literally being unable to use a room due to the overwhelming odour, countless emails and calls. I will therefore be posting negative reviews on every platform I can find. Beware that the website states 8 week delivery. Neither the original order, nor the replacements came in this time frame. Over 11 weeks.

Awful customer services, faulty products and they don’t even like to accept liability, also do not know the consumer rights act which allows you to return product. When we showed frustration they threatens to call the police as they didn’t like being you that they add violating the law. Assistant manger didn’t like what was being said so was rude and raising her voice to over speak myself and my partner. Avoid at all costs!

Don't buy DFS SofaCare Insurance - Don't believe what the sales people peddle when selling you this 5 year insurance policy. We were led to believe our sofa cushion's could be refilled within 5 years if they sagged or lost shape... 3 Years in and our sofa cushions have sagged considerably - After spending days trying to resolve with emails and phone calls to DFS and Guardsman, we're NOT covered. SAVE YOUR MONEY, DON'T BUY SOFACARE!

Absolutely disgusted with DFS customer service!! We paid them to remove our old sofa a day before delivery of our new one. The removal man said he was on his own so we'd have to help him! We couldn't help so he left! Phoned DFS and they said its nothing to do with them and we should contact removal company and then hung up!! Won't be using DFS again. I'm disgusted!
