I have spent a lot of time and money decorating my home and the icing on the cake was to replace our old sofas. This was the most horrendous experience with a damaged coffee table and having to deal with patronising telephone staff telling me they will get back within 72 hours, they didn't (this happened 5 times). Finally got my order completed and now parts have fallen off one seat and another is creaking in the joints. What should have been a happy purchase to enhance our home became a miserable, stressful experience. I hope I never use DFS ever again.

Well, after a long, wait, the settee that I got was terrible. I’ve had such a problem they didn’t give me any compensation in the end I’ve had to pick a settee I didn’t want in the first place , pay extra. because they wouldn’t honour the sale price. I even picked a colour that I knew wouldn’t be the next display because they kept trying to pull me off with another ex display . I have been on the phone every day more or less for three months and now today I went to pump the cushions up on my new prestige XDisplay settee and it was full of dirt. There’s even an old battery so if my granddaughter I would’ve got that it would’ve killed her. I can’t believe how badly DFS have treated me. I only wish I could upload photos on this site. Please don’t ever go to DFS and as the message says below phone somebody you can never get in touch with anybody. If you tried to ring ever, you’re on a 72 hours wait and then they never get back

My couches came like they were thrown off the back of a truck, disgusted and 1 month waiting for some one to decide whether to clean or replace them. 1 star for DFS

I am literally fuming writing this. DFS I never thought that I'd write such a negative review, but what you have done is beyond snidy! Imagine I had a delivery on the 12th of August 2022. On the same day I realise one of the buttons detached from the sofa. The buttons were the reason I purchased the sofa. Each of the three piece set must consist of over 100 buttons. With that button detaching I was weary of the others falling off as well. Therefore on the day of delivery I sent an email to DFS. A couple weeks later another one fell off. I rung DFS reported the issue and told them I no longer wanted the sofa as it seem its going to be a recurring issue and you don't decide to spend almost £4000 to have something not lasting. As each button will possibly come off completely within a few more weeks give or take. In the end after weeks of waiting the supplier finally agreed on a refund as they didn't want to initially. I thought as I'd had a loan agreement with another company the loan would be automatically switched over/transferred as they had no issues with me paying even when I wasn't happy about the sofa. I got a phone call and an email telling me I need to sign a new agreement with a company called Etika. When I read their reviews a lot of people were dissatisfied with them for one reason or another. I was comfortable with the current financial institution. When I received another call from DFS. I stated that and told them I'd rather return the the sofa and cancel the new order than go through that process again as it's no fault of my own! The representative said she wouldn't cancel the new sofa, but she'd let a manager/supervisor someone with more knowledge ring me to see how best we could rectify the issue and move from there. I thanked her and waited for the phone call, no phone call came. On Sunday two days ago. I received a call from DFS saying that my new sofa would be delivered on Tuesday (today). I asked and re-emphasised if the rep was sure the new sofa was going to be delivered. He reassured me. The reason I wanted to be sure was because they told me it was a 13weeks delivery time which would have taken it to January. I thought that they must have sympathised with me and just wanted to sort the issue... No, that was not the case!!! DFS sent to collect the sofa with no calls from a senior person at DFS, and no delivery of a new sofa!!!!! DFS why have you done this! Why?!!! When you have no issues with me, my issues was with a sofa that was defected. Not by my own doing. You taking the sofa means me and my child and husband is meant to sit on the floor? Is that what it is?! I have not withheld payment once, but you feel this is acceptable. Even this morning I rang to ask what time was the delivery and to ask if they were sure and it was once again confirmed. So no delivery. Just take the sofa from me with no communication while I haven't faulted! Someone literally needs to get in touch as I'm taking this to the media! Date of experience: 08 November 2022

I ordered a sofa & paid the full balance to be told we have lost your sofa but at some point, a manager will call you two weeks later no call. After calling every day to be told by customer services the warehouse don't respond to emails & we are too busy. I have been waiting 17 weeks to still have no update or any idea where my sofa is. The poorest customer experience I have ever had. Don't shop at DFS.

WOULD Take too long to explain, sofas have been returned. Letter sent to chief Excec recorded delivery, they dont even answer letters. Now left with nothing to sit on and further more they could not care less. A shocking company, been told lie after lie after lie

Bought furniture from DFS on credit finance, the goods were faulty and returned. store manager forced us to take a replacement. after 1 year trying to solve the credit note , only got it when i took them to online county court. within 14 days credit note issued , the creation finance were paid back their money. got an issue with DFS. go to court, don't waste time with them.

manager at ruislip very rude will not take back a pre damaged sofa and have been ignoring a rufund and keep sending out a service engineer and have repeatedly done this. I will stop my remaining outstanding payment for the sofa and let them chase me now

If I could have given a zero rating for this appalling company I would. After 2 years 2 months and £4000, I am still having to fight to get redress on my substandard furniture. First delivery arrived damaged and had to be replaced. Large 4 seater settee creaked from day one, told this was due to it “settling in”. Now having finally had it taken apart, it transpires that the frame has come away from the springs and the centre part of the frame is split. Outcome; we will take it apart in your lounge and screw a length of wood across it to secure it back together. Really!!! DFS are surprised that I am not happy about this, why would you not accept this, it’s perfectly reasonable as the furniture is past its 2 year guarantee. Yes, because for the past 2 years you’ve totally ignored my complaints. My seat cushions flattened after 6 months, despite that the NASA all singing, all dancing cold pressed foam doesn’t require plumping, just turning as they never flatten; That’s how they sell it to you. But when they do flatten and they can’t be plumped, it’s “wear and tear”. Dreadful quality, appalling customer service and overpriced substandard furniture.

Total joke! Ordered our new sofa, told it would take around 5 weeks. After just 2 weeks we get a text that it’s ready and want to deliver in 3 days! Panic!! Room not ready!! So we call and delay. we keep getting text saying book delivery, so after 4 weeks we call to arrange only ti be told our foot stool is in yet but should be! So our order is ant actually ready! Day of delivery we get a call at 6.45am to say the will be with us in 15 min, that’s 7am!! Sub contractors turn up, unload sofa, it’s damaged and missing holes to put centre supports in! “Don’t worry it often happens and they will come and fix it, you won’t be using the sofa for a few day” Really, new sofa I can’t sit on!! The foot stool came off the van, wrong colour! So order wrong, goods not fit for purpose!

Rated 0 out of 5 stars DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEN TREAT YOU LIKE YOU DONT EXIST! Purchased a 3 seater electric recliner which apparently they now make by bolting a one seater to a 2 seater. This was not made clear to us when purchasing in store. The sofa is faulty. It is dangerously unstable when reclined, it rocks and twists. My grandson actually got caught in the gap hurting his arm. Have had a service manager attend who proceeded to add a bolt into the metal frame, this in itself admitting there is a fault. When I asked why the bolt wasn't put in at the time of manufacture, I was told they don't add bolts??? Dfs are ignoring my emails. I have said I will accept a replacement of another 2 seater instead. Now reported to the furniture ombudsman and trading standards.

Hi I ordered my sofa from the Warrington store paid in full plus the £99 for delivery and insulation. It arrived one week late and then the delivery guys could not fit my feet as the holes to attach where not there. I have requested a Saturday delivery because I can not take time off for an issue that was not my fault. I have made several phone calls which is actuate joke as I feel I am being interrogated as to why I am making the phone call. Poor after sales communication for a fault that is not mine. I am left with a sette that is to low and does not have the feet that I requested

Awful please please read this the customer services forge documents and will not help you stay away from them they should not be trading I've never ever experienced lie after lie they even knocked are wall down please think twice because if you have a problem with your sofa you will not get help

I have spent nearly 2 months trying to get a swatch of the fabric re my new sofa. I've spoken to the store I bought it from, Customer Support and another department that sends out swatches to the customer. I have been pushed from pillar to post and promised to get it for weeks! I have now told DFS that I can't accept a delivery in a week or so as I haven't been able to order the new carpet and decorate due to know sample swatch. They have now emailed and said they will send me out a swatch straight away!! I have cancelled my order and am yet to know what they'll say about that!

Brand new sofa , 4 cussions 2 of which are so soft and dip in middle, been told to plump everyday, they look and feel used,been filled by a so called upholstery service manager !! My 18mobth old daughter could do a better stitching , which DFS think is acceptable!! Customer services are absolute appauling don't care about customers being happy,

We purchased a corner suite which looked fine, in store. We placed our order online and received the product which was inferior in quality from day one but the company refused to replace it. They were very difficult to deal with & I will never use DFS again - disgraceful service.

Paid £2k for a sofa which arrived in June with a scratch across one of the seats, I sent numerous emails to DFS but I am still waiting for it to be repaired. Since then, the firmness of the seats, backs, etc has started to fail resulting in the fabric creasing. Our of their service engineers came out 2 weeks ago. Still waiting for something to be done despite contacting them numerous times. Customer service is extremely poor from the service centre and shop were purchased from. Do not buy from this firm, go elsewhere.
