I recently visited diamond hair clinic about 2 weeks ago and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with the professionalism from the moment I arrived in Istanbul to the moment i left. After an extensive weeks of research into all possible hair transplant options, looking at cheaper hair mills and high end clinics, I decided to go with dr. Mehmet Demircioglu at diamond hair clinic and I messaged his clinic on WhatsApp. Originally I was looking at now hair time, but after examining their packages I started to question why they were including things like city tours. I’ve never heard of doctors doing this type of thing and after further research I learned that that clinic was a hair mill which pumps out many more than one patient a day to maximize profits rather than engaging in more a more patient centered approach which was the opposite of what I was looking for. I messaged them on July 4th and sent some pictures they asked for as well as answered a short list of questions regarding typical medical stuff as well as additional info about my hair loss. I did not hear back from the clinic until the 11th, when I had asked to follow up on appointment date. They told me at times the doctor can be busy and isn’t able to assess patients in time and that I should wait a little longer for a quote. After a few days passed and I didn’t hear back I decided to just move on and find another doctor in Turkey to work with. During this time I found what I thought was another reputable clinic in get new hair ran by Kayihan Sahinoglu. I messaged them that I was interested in a hair transplant, send them a few pictures of my head and they had my quote ready the next day and I had booked a flight and secured the hotel the following day. Sure enough a few days after that I was reached back out to by diamond hair clinic followed by a comprehensive list of my price quote of 6,100 euros, the number of grafts needed, how many days I would need to stay, where I would be staying (accommodated in the price quote already)tons of information and articles regarding the operating doctor, tons of pictures of other clients journeys in his care and I was stunned. So stunned, I immediately messaged the other clinic to cancel my appointment, called the hotel to cancel my reservation, and changed my flight to my new appointment which was about 2 months out from the quote date with dr. Demircioglu. When I arrived in Istanbul I was greeted at the airport by a driver who comfortably transported me to my hotel. In the morning of the surgery I had a delicious breakfast at the hotel and was picked up by my driver right after. It was about a 10 minute ride to the hair clinic and I was greeted by staff and within a few minutes I was sat down with dr. Mehmet in his office. It was very comforting to know I was going to be his only client for the day. We discussed the procedure, the after care, and any other questions I had regarding the operation. Once I was satisfied with the answers we then began to shave my head and draw my new hairline. Dr. Demircioglu was very engaging throughout the process constantly checking with and showing me what he was doing and asking if I was content with it. Then we began the procedure which lasted about 6-7 hours with a provided lunch break in between. Slight discomfort at first but once the anesthesia kicked in I could not feel any pain and went to sleep soon thereafter for at least a couple hours during the session. After the surgery I was given all of my meds, shampoos and a neck pillow, an extra neck pillow and was picked up by my driver who was already waiting for me outside to take back to my hotel. The next day and a half while staying in the hotel I did not experience much pain when the anesthesia wore off it was just much more of an uncomfortable process with trying to nap or sleep because of how I was instructed to keep the neck pillow on basically at all times and had to find a way to prop my head up with the neck pillow and the hotel pillows as to not allow anything to touch my head and to keep my head in an upright position. I was told I would be picked up in two days for the first wash process and once the that day came my driver picked me up on time and took me back to the clinic. Dr. Demircioglu was waiting for me outside and escorted me in, took off my bandages, inspected my head, and we began the wash process. He then carefully explained to me more in depth about my at home care process and gave me his personal number to reach him at any time with questions (which I did). I had a response from him usually within 1 to 5 hours which was surprising to me at times because of the 7 hour time difference between Turkey and the east coast of America. I spent about the next week pretty much exclusively at home and I’m fortunate enough to have a movable bed so I found sleeping much easier at home but for a few days the itchiness got really bad to the point where I messages the doctor to ask if it was normal and he messaged back within about 5 minutes that it was part of the healing process and even included a video about how they inject the anesthetic into certain areas and it was those same areas that I was most itchy so I knew nothing was out of the ordinary. It was also pleasing to see that even though I had already paid for the surgery almost 2 weeks ago and was not even in the same country anymore, I was still being treated as though I was siting in the examination room with him. I could not recommend this clinic and dr. Demircioglus professionalism and hands on care any more and highly encourage anyone looking into hair transplants to look no further because this is the only place you should be considering.

I have never been the type of person to write reviews, but in this case I am so happy and pleased to comment on my hair transplant with Dr Mehmet. I just completed the procedure approximately two weeks ago and everything about it was amazing right from his assistant who took over and literally arranged everything for me and made it such a seamless and Thourough assessment and treatment plan, right to the minute I arrived in Istanbul and was picked up by his driver and brought to my hotel. The actual procedure was amazing and very precise and artistic. Dr. Mehmet has an eye for creating such a great hairline as well as working in a thorough and meticulous fashion to achieve the best results. I had just completed day 10 of washing and today was my first day working and I got so many compliments on how perfect it looked. I am so pleased with my result to date and I am so excited to see what this will look like in the next upcoming months. Dr Mehmet has been so great at responding to every message and every question that I have as well as giving me the best advice to ensure optimal results. He is a hands-on and active, to ensure that his work comes out absolutely perfect. I recommend his Clinic and him particularly to anyone who asks. I have already sent out his contact information to many of my friends and colleagues who were very curious as to what it would be like and I was able to ensure to them that this is a top-notch, Clinic with a top-notch Dr

My hairline has been rapidly disappearing for the last 5 years. I was bald. I was losing my identity. I have, for many years, always had an eye on the various celebrities who had successful HTs. However, the costs in UK were just too high for me and not a viable option. In early May 2024 a friend suggested that I check out the HT options in Turkey. I thought that he was joking at first but when I did a google search I soon realised that Turkey was the HT capital of the world. Various HT clinics came up during my online search – lots of them. I got in touch with 8 clinics to see what they could do for me. Many came back with quick quotes within an hour with costs of anything between £1000 to £3,500. A couple said that it not worth doing and that I would be wasting my time. Others provided “guarantees” of transplanted grafts between 2000 to 7500. Some even suggested that they would pay for my flights and do my teeth at the same time as the HT. I was confused by all the mixed responses. Further online research of HT clinics in Turkey identified that most of those that I had reached out to meet the definition of a “hair mill” i.e. lots of patients each day and with little, if any, involvement of a real surgeon. This concerned me. Going to a foreign country with the possibility of having a HT being done by unknown people was not very appealing. What would I do if I travelled all the way to a clinic in Turkey and went into the operating room to find that the technicians were all young students and even worse, monkeys? Any business can have a good website with good customer reviews these days. It felt like Russian roulette. It put me off. My deeper research of HT clinics brought me to members of the World FUE Institute. From there I came across Dr Mehmet Demircioglu of the Diamond Hair Clinic. I got in touch with this clinic for a quote. The information that I had back from this clinic was more comprehensive compared to the others. It was personalised. Mehmet Demircioglu’s assessment was that I was eligible for sapphire FUE HT: 4000 grafts to cover my front and mid area. It was not possible to cover the crown area, but I was advised that this may be possible during a second session after a year. The cost included: the surgery, all transfers, 3 nights in a hotel, all medication, a hair care kit and a first wash. I just had to turn up in Istanbul. What made Mehmet Demircioglu different from other clinics that I had engaged with was his “one patient daily” policy. He would be actively involved in the surgery and design the hairline etc. I liked his customer centric approach. It was certainly not the hair mill approach like the others. After a couple of weeks considering my options, and completing my due diligence checks on Diamond Hair Clinic, I decided at the end of My 2024 to book my HT with them. It is true that Mehmet Demircioglu was more expensive than the other clinics that I had quotes from, but I decided that I wanted the certainty of professionalism to ensure that my HT had the greatest chance of being a success. In the morning of 31 August 2024 I arrived at Istanbul airport. A luxury transfer vehicle was waiting for me which took me to the hotel (Tryp by Wyndham Istanbul Topapi Hotel). A lovely modern hotel with great food. I did some tourist sightseeing during the day. There is a tram stop ten minutes away from the hotel called Seyitnizam-Aksemsettin. This tram, which is very cheap, will take you to heart of Istanbul where all the main tourist attractions and shops (e.g. Grand Bazaar) are. If there is only tourism thing that you have time for then I would recommend an evening visit to the Basilica Cistern. It was magnificent under the coloured lights. Early the next morning the transfer vehicle picked me up from the hotel and took me to the clinic. I surprisingly felt very calm. I trusted myself that I had made the right decision. Mehmet Demircioglu met me at the reception. This was a friendly and personalised touch. He spoke excellent English. He then took me to his office to discuss the schedule for the day, and the hairline that I wanted. I recognised, even before the visit, the reality that my hair line options were very limited due to the sheer size of my baldness area. I explained my thoughts and he came up with a suggestion which I was happy with. I remember feeling relaxed. I felt I was in safe hands. Nothing was rushed at all. I met his two other friendly technicians in his surgery team. They could speak little English, but this was not an issue for me since Mehmet Demircioglu was always around. In the surgery room they shaved off my hair (what little I had). Mehmet Demircioglu drew a draft hair line and showed me a mirror. I was happy with the draft, and I gave the go ahead. Lots of pictures were taken at this point which he later forwarded to me. This was a great idea as I can now compare myself before and after the HT. The HT started with a local anaesthesia being applied to my donor area. This hurt. Big time. 8/10 pain. The injections seemed to go on forever, but it was probably only 20 minutes or so. I was expecting some pain from these injections, but this was much worse than I expected. Everyone is different though. Perhaps I have a sensitive scalp. I took the pain like a man; I knew that this pain was only going to be momentary. Everything that you want in life is often on the other side of pain. After these injections, I felt nothing for the entire HT. The technician then proceeded with the donor graft extraction. This took a couple of hours or so. I felt completely relaxed throughout. At lunch time I had a 20-to-30-minute break. A margherita pizza and a can of Iced Tea were provided. It was delicious. I took this time to inform my wife that I was still alive. She does worry. The afternoon session started with the incisions. This was completed by Mehmet Demircioglu. I understood from my research that this was the most critical part of the surgery which will make a huge difference as to whether the HT is successful or not. This took around 2 to 2 2 ½ hours I think. I was so relaxed that I fell asleep. I again felt nothing. After a break to stretch my legs, there was the final part of the procedure which involved the implantation of my grafts. This was perhaps the longest session of all but again I drifted in and out of sleep. This stage was performed by one of his technicians. Mehmet Demircioglu always seemed to be around. I even remember having an amusing conversation with him during this final procedure about his love of spear fishing and his need for a bigger boat. This did show a human element beyond a surgeon’s mask. In all, my recollection of the operation is one of relaxation. If there had been Tibetan bowl music playing in the surgery room then it would probably have been close to a spa experience (but only if they could get rid of the local anaesthesia injections first though!). I was delighted when I saw myself in the mirror after the operation. They did a great job in giving me a natural looking hairline. My identity was back. I had a total of 4200 grafts. After the HT, Mehmet Demircioglu explained the various medications that I would need to take. I personally would have preferred paper instructions at this point since it felt like a lot of information to take on board after a day in surgery. However, Mehmet Demircioglu did then give me his personal telephone number if I had any questions. This was tested the next day when I had an accident in the hotel room when I knocked my head on a shelf next to the desk. My hairline was bleeding which I knew could potentially mean some lost grafts. Mehmet Demircioglu immediately responded to my message after viewing my picture with some re-assuring words. Please do be careful in your hotel room - stay in bed! Looking back, the whole HT experience with Mehmet Demircioglu was stress free. Everything was organised and taken care of. Communications were great before the HT, during and after. Mehmet Demircioglu does put his customers’ wellbeing at the centre of everything. He continues to be available for help and support when it is required, and I have been sending him daily picture updates until the final wash. Mehmet Demircioglu then requires monthly picture updates, but I know that I can contact him any time should I have questions or issues. It is early days in my hair growth journey at the time of this review, but I am happy with my choices. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mehmet Demircioglu to you. Mehmet Demircioglu told me a story of an American customer who believed that people think that you are a loser in life if you have a HT. I disagree. You are in fact winner. Those people who moan about being bald, and do nothing about it, are the real losers. Everything you want in life is on the other side of fear. Don’t delay. There are great HT surgeons out there to help you. Book yourself an appointment with Mehmet Demircioglu and have a different life story.

I am never the type of guy to post reviews, but as Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu explained their importance I understood how crucial they may be for people looking to get this procedure done, stop the misinformation, and prevent people against hair mills. I began looking to get a hair transplant this summer, around July-August, I knew I wanted a surgeon to do my procedure, not some random technician. So after some research, I found Diamond Hair Clinic and messaged them to get an online consultation done. I am not going to lie, I also message the famous Clinics with millions of Instagram followers, but they all seem to be the same, they don't ask questions, just send you an image with their packages and that's it (by the way, you won't save that money much compared to going to a surgeon, in this case, Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu). From the beginning of the consultation, I felt this was a proper one. They asked a lot of questions, which, being a medical practitioner myself, I fully understood since it's crucial to make a big and good anamnesis, especially for a procedure like a hair transplant. They sent me a resolution letter with my hair transplant solution within 2 weeks, I read it thoughtfully and without hesitation, I booked my flights (which is mandatory to book your surgery). I never felt nervous honestly, so the month went by quickly, and without me realizing it I found myself landing in Turkey and waiting for my driver to pick me up to take me to my hotel (they book it for you, both the hotel and the transportation). The next day was the surgery day, I was pretty calm myself, but if you are a nervous person, the Doctor will calm you real quick, he is just a calm, chill, down-to-earth professional, and most importantly, honest and open. You will spend a good hour discussing with him your hairline, and habits, as well as talking a bit about the hair transplant business, which I found super interesting. After that you pay and you go to the surgery room, where he will draw your hairline and ask you for feedback constantly, always giving his professional opinion. Once you are happy with it, the surgery will then start. 2 Nurses will apply anesthesia in the donor area (it's a bit painful, not going to lie), and then they proceed to extract all the follicles. This took 2 hours and a half, then you have a lunch break, and after you are done, stage 2 starts. They apply anesthesia again on the recipient area and the Doctor starts doing the incisions one by one. This was by far the best part of the surgery since you can have a really good chat with the doctor and just chill with him while he does his job. After Stage 2, the nurses come back to put all the follicles in for another good 2 hours. It's a long day, the surgery lasts like 8 hours but it flies by quickly. When the surgery is done you have a chat with the doctor and he will tell you how you must take care of the hair in the following weeks. Then they take you to the hotel for you to rest. You have to sleep the first night at 90º so consider that you won't sleep at all. Once you wake up you will spend all day at the hotel, this was so boring for me even though I took my laptop with me to get work in. The next day they take you back for the first washing day. You will have another chat with the doctor, he will repeat everything he told you at the end of the surgery the first day so you understand everything correctly, nevertheless, he gives you his personal phone number so you can contact him to ask ANY questions. If you are hesitating to get it done, I wouldn't. Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu will make you regret having doubted and worried so much about getting the surgery done. I'd like to thank him, the nurses, and the drivers for the good treat I received. Now it's only a matter of months to go by for me to see my results, which I know will be amazing. (I attach images of the before and after surgery below, will try to update them as much as I can)

A Life-Changing Experience with Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu at Diamond Hair Clinic I recently had the incredible opportunity to undergo a hair transplant with Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu at Diamond Hair Clinic in Turkey. Saying that this experience was life-changing feels like an understatement. At 34 years old, after years of battling personal demons, this procedure marks a significant milestone in my journey of self-improvement and recovery. My Journey: From Despair to Hope To provide some context, my life hasn’t been an easy one. I spent many years struggling with addiction and alcoholism, trapped in a cycle of self-destruction that began with a traumatic youth. I had no ambition, no drive, and my talents—especially in music—were left to waste. I didn’t take care of myself, and as the years passed, I found myself sinking deeper into despair, my appearance reflecting the turmoil I felt inside. Eight years ago, a heavy weight lifted off my shoulders, but it wasn’t until five years ago, when a significant person entered my life, that I truly began to turn things around. I quit drinking, gave up drugs, and started focusing on my health and well-being. I began taking care of my body and mind, sought professional help, and even started working with a private teacher to develop my long-neglected passion for singing. Part of this journey involved addressing aspects of my appearance that had always made me feel insecure, like my crooked teeth, which I corrected with the help of an orthodontist. However, as I made these changes, a new issue emerged: my receding hairline. It became a constant reminder of the years I had lost, the damage I had done to myself, and the youth that had slipped away. That’s when I started realising I should do something about it. Choosing to undergo a hair transplant wasn’t just about vanity—it was about reclaiming a part of myself that I had lost and giving myself the confidence to pursue my dreams without the shadow of my past holding me back. Online Research: Finding the Best in the Field My decision to choose Diamond Hair Clinic was the result of meticulous research. It all started when I saw a well-known influencer sharing the results of his hair transplant on his Facebook channel. You can find the clip if you google "Comedian Gets DHI Hair Transplant in Turkey!" I had never considered a hair transplant before, but his initial results looked great, so I was intrigued. I googled the name of his clinic and saw it had a 4.9-star rating. However, something told me to wait and see how his hair evolved over time. Four months later, the same comedian posted an update on Instagram. Although he seemed proud of his progress, I was shocked. His hairline looked unnatural, and I was relieved I had waited to make an appointment. It was a stark reminder that high ratings on Google don’t always guarantee a natural result. Determined to avoid a similar outcome, I began researching the best hair transplant clinics in Istanbul. I contacted a clinic with a similar 4.9-star rating, but more out of curiosity than anything else. I wanted to learn more about the process—whether I was a good candidate, how much it would cost, how many grafts I might need, and what type of transplant would suit me best. After sending them five photos and answering a few questions, we had a brief 15-minute WhatsApp call. They told me, "You're the perfect candidate for an FUE transplant. You need 3,500-4,000 grafts to create a new hairline and maximize density to your crown. The cost will be 3,000 euros." They then sent me two one-minute videos with more information and eight photos of a previous patient. The speed at which they made their conclusion, the superficial nature of their assessment, and the minimal questions they asked immediately raised red flags for me. It became clear that I needed to invest more time in researching my options. Determined to make an informed decision, I began a thorough investigation. I started by reading reviews on ProvenExperts.com, focusing only on clinics with high ratings. Time and again, I came across glowing testimonials for Dr. Demircioglu at Diamond Hair Clinic, particularly praising his expertise in creating natural-looking hairlines. Intrigued, I decided to reach out to his clinic. From the very first interaction via WhatsApp, I was impressed by the professionalism of the clinic. The initial consultation was incredibly detailed, far more so than the first clinic I had considered. The amount of information they requested from me, and the depth of information they provided, was reassuring. I could immediately sense that this was a clinic that truly cared about achieving the best possible outcomes for their patients. Therefore Diamon Hair Clinic is in fact the only serious clinic I contacted because I could feel I was in the right hands. Exploring Istanbul: Preparing for Transformation I arrived in Istanbul a few days before my scheduled surgery, eager to explore the city. Traveling lightly with just a 10kg backpack, I spent three days discovering the vibrant streets of Istanbul. Given the high temperatures (compared to my country Belgium) I made it a point to wake up early each day to enjoy the city in the more bearable morning hours. This time of exploration not only allowed me to appreciate the beauty of Istanbul but also gave me a sense of calm and readiness for the upcoming procedure. Meeting Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu: A Compassionate and Talented Artist From the moment I met Dr. Demircioglu on August 10th, 2024, I knew for sure that my feeling was correct: I was in the right hands. He’s not just a surgeon—he’s an artist with a profound understanding of the emotional journey his patients are on. During our consultation, he took the time to fully understand my vision and desires for the procedure. We looked at photos of me from when I was younger, discussed my preferences, and he even showed me examples from other patients to ensure we were on the same page. As he began sketching my new hairline, I casually asked if he practiced art in his free time. He humbly replied, "No, I’m not an artist; I’m a surgeon." But after seeing his work, I have to say that he is indeed an artist. When he finished the hairline, I was amazed at how perfectly he captured what I had in mind. It wasn’t just about placing grafts—it was about creating something natural, something that would help me look in the mirror and see the person I wanted to become. The first design he showed me was spot on—it was exactly what I had hoped for, and it was clear how much pride and passion he has for his work. This isn’t just a job for him; it’s a craft that he approaches with the utmost dedication. What truly stood out to me, though, was his kindness and empathy. As we spoke, I opened up about some of the challenges I had faced in my life, including a particularly traumatic experience. Dr. Demircioglu didn’t just listen—he understood. His words of comfort were genuine and heartfelt. It meant so much to have a doctor who cared not just about the physical outcome, but about my emotional well-being as well. The Surgery: A Smooth and Comfortable Experience The surgery itself was a testament to Dr. Demircioglu’s skill and attention to detail. Based on the photos I had sent him, he initially suggested 4,500 grafts: 3,000 for the front area to create a new hairline and cover the frontal region, and 1,500 for the mid-scalp. However, when I arrived at the clinic and he examined my scalp in person, he noticed that I had sufficient donor capacity to increase the number to 5,000 grafts. He suggested adding 500 grafts to my crown area, which was starting to thin—a detail that wasn’t visible in the photos I had sent but one that he skillfully identified. I was grateful for his thoroughness and expertise, ensuring that every part of my scalp received the attention it needed. The procedure went smoothly. The only discomfort I felt was a brief sting from the anesthesia, which lasted just a second. Once that was over, the rest of the surgery was painless. I was impressed by the professionalism and care shown by Dr. Demircioglu’s team, which included an assistant and a nurse. Both were incredibly attentive, constantly checking on me to make sure I was comfortable and that everything was going well. I particularly appreciated the short breaks between the three stages of the procedure, which made the whole experience much more bearable. The first stage was performed by Dr. Demircioglu’s assistant, Kenan, with the help of the nurse, but Dr. Demircioglu was present almost the entire time. The second stage was performed by Dr. Demircioglu himself, alone. The third stage was completed by the assistant and the nurse, with Dr. Demircioglu overseeing the process and checking the results. One moment that stood out to me was hearing the team chatting in Turkish during the procedure. I don’t understand the language, but I remember how soothing and melodic it sounded. It felt almost like music—a comforting backdrop as they meticulously completed their work. It was a small detail, but one that added to the overall positive experience. I found myself simply enjoying lying there and listening. The First Look: A Moment of Pride Right after the surgery, I looked into the mirror and felt an overwhelming sense of pride. I knew I had made the right decision. I didn’t take any risks coming to this clinic—I had a mission to find the best doctor, and I succeeded. The result was more than I expected. Seeing my new hairline for the first time was a powerful moment. It was as if I was looking at the person I had always wanted to be, someone who had overcome so much and was ready to embrace the future with confidence. Aftercare: Continuous Support and Guidance The aftercare provided by Dr. Demircioglu has been nothing short of exceptional. The day after the surgery, I took it easy at the hotel, giving my body time to rest. On Monday, I returned to the clinic, where Dr. Demircioglu personally took care of my bandages and performed the first wash. We spent almost an hour discussing the aftercare regimen in detail—from the medications I needed to take, to how to properly wash my scalp, to the importance of keeping it moist. What truly sets Dr. Demircioglu apart is his commitment to his patients even after the surgery is complete. He asked me to send him five photos every day during the healing process—front, sides, back, and top—so that he could monitor my progress and provide feedback. And he does this personally. Every question I’ve had, every concern that’s come up, he has addressed quickly and thoroughly. It’s clear that he is dedicated to ensuring the best possible outcome for his patients, and that level of care is something I deeply appreciate. Overall Experience: A Grateful Heart and Renewed Confidence Reflecting on my experience at Diamond Hair Clinic, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. This procedure was more than just a physical transformation—it was a crucial step in reclaiming my life, moving past the mistakes of my youth, and building the confidence I need to pursue my dreams. I’m now on the verge of applying to a conservatory, where I’ll be in classes with students much younger than me. Thanks to Dr. Demircioglu, I’ll be able to walk into that environment without feeling self-conscious about my appearance. I’ll look in the mirror and see someone who has fought hard to overcome life’s challenges, someone who is ready to embrace the future with confidence. Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu is not only a skilled surgeon but also a compassionate and understanding human being. His dedication to his craft and his genuine care for his patients make him truly exceptional. I cannot recommend him and Diamond Hair Clinic enough to anyone considering a hair transplant. This experience has been nothing short of transformative, and I am incredibly grateful to have had Dr. Demircioglu by my side through it all.

This is a slightly long review but hopefully useful to anyone considering getting a hair transplant A Remarkable Hair Transplant Journey with Dr. Mehmet I embarked on my hair transplant journey in 2023, determined to find the right clinic and surgeon to achieve the best possible results. After extensive research and conversations with many individuals who had undergone hair transplants, it became clear that Turkey was the premier destination for this procedure. The cost difference between Turkey and the U.S. was substantial, making Turkey the obvious choice for me. However, I quickly realized that prices varied widely among Turkish clinics, ranging from $2,000 to $10,000. The challenge was finding a legitimate clinic with a qualified medical surgeon who would personally handle the surgery, rather than just an operation overseen by assistants. After much consideration and conversations with multiple clinics, I chose Dr. Mehmet. His reputation as a skilled surgeon, who performs only one surgery a day, ensuring his full focus and attention on each patient, reassured me that I was making the right decision. From our initial engagement, Dr. Mehmet and his team were incredibly supportive. They were upfront about my limited grafts due to my age (over 50) but assured me they would maximize the use of what I had to achieve the best possible outcome. I planned my trip to Istanbul for August 2024, and the process was smooth from start to finish. The clinic only required a copy of my ticket and passport to confirm my booking. However, as the day approached, I grew increasingly nervous, despite all the research and conversations I had leading up to it. The moment I arrived in Istanbul, I was greeted by a comfortable ride to my hotel. Although I had a day to rest before the surgery, my nerves and jet lag made it difficult to enjoy the free time. The morning of the surgery, I was still anxious, but the driver reassured me that speaking with Dr. Mehmet would help calm my nerves—and he was right. Dr. Mehmet spent nearly two hours discussing the surgery in detail, addressing my concerns, and explaining the challenges and expectations. Importantly, no payment had been made at this point; it was entirely my decision whether or not to proceed. The surgery began with graft extraction from the back of my head, which took about two hours. While there was some discomfort during the anesthetic injection, it was manageable, and the rest of the procedure was painless. The most challenging part was staying still during the extraction, but the clinic staff were considerate and offered breaks, though I chose to continue without interruption. After a break for lunch in the clinic’s clean and comfortable facilities, we moved on to the next phase—making the incisions. Dr. Mehmet emphasized that the success of the transplant heavily depended on the precision of these incisions, as they determine the direction and angle of hair growth. He spent considerable time discussing the hairline with me, and while he provided several options, I trusted his expertise and went with his recommendation, which turned out perfectly. The final stage of the surgery involved implanting the grafts, which took another two hours. By this point, I was so relaxed that I nearly fell asleep. The entire process was pain-free and meticulously carried out by Dr. Mehmet and his team, who were with me throughout the day. After the surgery, I was given detailed instructions on post-operative care, particularly the importance of avoiding any bumps to the head in the first few days. Dr. Mehmet even made me practice some precautions to ensure I followed them correctly. The clinic provided me with all the necessary medications, and when I needed something stronger for pain relief, they quickly arranged for it to be delivered to my hotel. The following day, I returned to the clinic for a check-up, where Dr. Mehmet reviewed my progress and showed me how to properly wash my hair. The attention to detail and care extended beyond the clinic visit. For the first 10 days after returning home, I sent daily pictures to Dr. Mehmet, who responded promptly with feedback and guidance. This ongoing support has continued, and I am now scheduled to send monthly updates for the next 18 months. Three weeks post-operation, I am recovering well and fully prepared for the next stages, including the expected shock hair loss and gradual regrowth. Reflecting on my experience, I can confidently say that I would choose Dr. Mehmet again without hesitation. His dedication to his patients, his thorough approach, and the quality of his work have left me feeling secure in my decision to travel from the U.S. to Istanbul for this procedure. Although the cost was on the higher end at $6,000, the peace of mind and exceptional care I received made it worth every penny. Dr. Mehmet’s professionalism, combined with his genuine concern for his patients’ well-being, sets him apart. I look forward to updating this review in the coming months as I start to see the full results of my transplant, but so far, my experience has been nothing short of excellent.

I received a hair transplant with Dr Mehmet Demircioglu at Diamond Hair Clinic in July 2024. It has been an absolutely fantastic experience. There is nothing I can say negative about him or the practice. All accommodation and travel to and from the hotel, clinic and airport is covered with your cost, making it as smooth and minimally stressful as possible. Diamond asks that you pay in cash, on the day, with no pre-deposit. Only that you show your flight confirmation once you’ve booked your flights. I paid €5,500 not including flights. I booked my surgery for June 3, 2024, securing the date by booking my flight tickets on April 20, 2024, and sending a screenshot of the tickets to the clinic. Shortly afterward, I discovered that the cost for new patients had increased to €6,000. Fortunately, my fee remained at 5,500 Euros, the rate available when I booked. I wanted a hair transplant for a long time (10+ years) and have done extensive research into different hair transplant clinics in Turkey. There was no way I was going to pay £1000 and risk an inexperienced technician in a hair mill, botch my hair transplant, regretting it for the rest of my life. When you arrive at the airport, you are escorted to a meeting point and wait for your driver who takes you to the hotel to check in (Hotel is called Tryp by Wyndham Topkapi). The hotel is pretty standard, but the staff are super friendly and you see a tonne of other guys with hair transplants walking around too so you don’t feel alone. This is your last night of looking “normal” for a while so I decided to go out to the hotels restaurant, which is a short free shuttle bus drive away. I had fish dinner by the river at sunset and went back to my room. The next day breakfast at the hotel, and then a car will take you to Diamond in the morning for the procedure. Dr. Mehmet welcomed me with a friendly smile and warm handshake. I was very anxious but he instantly recognised this, and made me feel so much more at ease within minutes. We discussed my hair loss, my expectations, hairline design, and all the formalities, including payment. He showed me photos of his other patients too. We tried different options for about an hour and a half until we had both agreed a surgery plan we were happy with. Dr. Mehmet was very knowledgeable but also very direct and honest with facts, and what was feasible and what was not. He made it all seem much less intimidating. He then takes a bunch of photos, before he draws your new hairline. And you can look in the mirrors as long as you like until you’re happy. And he will redraw it as much as you need. Then, two technicians shave your head. I had never rocked a shaved head before so this was startling for me. Lying face down, the procedure begins with a sharp panging device hitting your scalp which is unpleasant but not overly painful. This is the non invasive numbing device, a standard before anything is injected for Diamond. Often other clinics will try charging extra for this. I’m not sure it did much however, because next, the injection of the anaesthetic into the scalp which was very painful for me (but I am known to be a bit of a wimp!). I was yelling out and clenching my fists as the needle went in many times. But the technicians asked me to take a deep breaths, they were smooth, professional and quick, checking regularly with me that I was happy to continue. After ten minutes of pain, the anesthetic worked and you feel nothing for the rest of the procedure. 10 minutes of pain seems a small price to pay! Except the sound of needles going into your scalp which is unpleasant but not painful. You can feel things moving on your scalp but it doesn’t feel like you’re being touched. Overall the procedure felt unpleasant, but not painful. Some patients apparently sleep but I could not. The first stage, extraction (2 hours approx), is done by the technicians. Removing the hairs from your donor area. The second stage and most important is the incisions, done by Dr Mehmet (2 hours approx). We chatted a bit as I lay on my back with my eyes covered from the bright surgery lights. Dr. Mehmet was very funny and making me laugh so it was a much less scary experience. The final stage, implantation, is done by the technicians (3 hours approx). Placing the harvested hairs into Dr. Mehmet’s intricately positioned incisions. You break for lunch after stage 1, and can ask for a break to use the bathroom or stretch as many times as you like. Dr. Mehmet only sees one patient a day, and maximum 10 a month. So you have his entire focus throughout which was a HUGE plus for me. I had heard multiple stories of patients being rushed out as another one is through the door. He also gives you his personal phone number for any questions during recovery which has been invaluable. He told me there is no such thing as a stupid question! Some patients he is still in contact with 6 years later for advice on buying supplements and shampoos etc. I am quite a nervous and anxious person, but time after time, Dr. Mehmet has listened to me and reassured me. He’s a friendly, charismatic and brilliant professional, who made the whole experience as positive as possible. After you’re finished, I felt quite shocked and dizzy. But the technicians guide you to sit upright and you take it slow. Your donor area is dressed in a bandage. Dr. Mehmet then sits with you and goes over the debrief as well as a thorough aftercare plan (I would advise making as many notes as possible on your phone as there is lots to remember). You will be taking several tablets for the next couple of weeks. Although Dr. Mehmet is available on WhatsApp to ask directly. I finished the day at about 5:30pm. After that it’s back to the hotel for the evening, and you spend the following day in the hotel room resting. I managed about 4 hours of broken sleep and some short naps. Just sleep when you can and when it feels natural. You can order any food you like to from the menu to your room, but I would advise getting some snacks for your mini fridge the day before. The food was not great, but I didn’t care at that point! I had been dreading the flight home ever since saving for a hair transplant, and being in public at the airport. But honestly once the shock of being shaved, and the rest day (which you spend a good chunk of looking at yourself in the mirror to normalise your new appearance). It didn’t feel so anxiety-inducing. I put my headphones in, played my switch, and no one bothered me. I’m sure plenty of people looked at me but I didn’t notice. I saw many other men in Istanbul airport looking the same as me. Nobody cares, they have their own lives. Also, the day after the rest day, all the pain had subsided so that helped too. Overall, I underestimated how unpleasant the transplant would feel. But I am so grateful I chose Diamond and Dr. Mehmet and his team to guide me through the process. Because of their patience, kindness and professionalism. They made it so much better. My advice would be, BE PREPARED! It’s a big surgical procedure and quite shocking visually what you go through in a short space of time. It’s also an emotional rollercoaster. And secondly, ideally TAKE SOMEONE WITH YOU. Many of the guys I saw with transplant bandages were with partners or a buddy. I wish I had someone there with me it would have made the process easier. I have completed my first milestone, the “10-day wash” where you remove the crusts and scabs so can kind of see for the first time, what your new hairline looks like. I’m thrilled with what I am seeing so far. The hairline is full of “irregular irregularities”, not a perfect straight line or a perfect zigzag. NO NATURAL HAIRLINE is straight perfectly or zigzagged. It looks very good so far, I can’t wait to see what it looks like after shock loss and some real growth comes through. I received 4500 grafts in total. 3500 on my front and temples and 1000 on the crown. Pictures below. Photo 1) Hair loss photographed on the day of the procedure. Photo 2) Day 2 after the procedure. Photo 3) Day 2 after the procedure (side) Photo 4 & 5) After 10 day wash. Overall, brilliant experience with Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu and Diamond Hair Clinic. 5 stars!

Losing hair for years was killing confidence in public interactions and on dates. I tried everything under the sun. Dermarollers, Minoxidil, Finasteride, and even Dutasteride. In an off-the-record suggestion, my dermatologist, who’s seen me through this hair loss journey, mentioned that a decent hair transplant in Canada could cost over $20,000, and some people fly to Turkey or Thailand for affordable options. Indeed, a hair transplant abroad seemed out of the question initially, but that changed when I got a quote of $25,000 from the Hasson & Wong clinic in Canada. It was frankly unaffordable, so I started looking at clinic options in Turkey and Thailand. Folks on hair transplant forums and Reddit strongly recommended Dr. Laorwong in Thailand, but his schedule was full for the next 8-9 months. Communication with Dr. Laorwong's clinic was quite slow, imagine getting a simple answer could take a week. I wasn’t going to risk a botched job from a low-price, no-name clinic either. Reviews are crucial for anyone who researches hair transplant clinics and doctors online, and most hair clinics in Turkey have thousands of Google and Trustpilot reviews, but many seem fake. Even their Instagram followers look shady. Then contacted Diamond Hair Clinic in Istanbul. Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu seemed very reputable, and the reviews appeared real and not inflated. The biggest game changer for me was the Diamond Hair Clinic's one operation a day rule, which seemed very patient-friendly and boosted my confidence in the clinic. The most significant factor in choosing the clinic was Dr. Demircioglu’s involvement in the surgery, especially in making incisions. I didn’t want a doctor who was merely supervising but one who was performing the surgery himself. Everything has been seamless since I set foot in Istanbul. A driver met me at the airport and brought me to a comfortable hotel close to the clinic. The night before the surgery, my nerves were at their worst. I could not sleep. Nervous as I was, meeting Dr. Demircioglu on the surgery day morning calmed me down. Everything was so professional in the operation room, and all the processes were explained by the doctor patiently while a hairline was being designed to suit my face. The clinic is clean and modern. The operation lasted about eight hours, and during this time, after the local anesthesia, which was a little bit painful at first, I did not feel any significant pain. They extracted and implanted 4650 hair grafts. It was very comforting and encouraging to see Dr. Demircioglu himself on the scene during the procedure in the surgery room. I was checked on often, and I even had a lunch break, which made the day less exhausting. After the surgery, they gave me the necessary instructions and a recovery kit. Ten months later, I am very happy with the progress. As for communication, I received great WhatsApp support from the doctor’s assistant, Mahmod, before the surgery. And even afterward, I was in direct WhatsApp contact with Dr. Demircioglu himself. I still send my headshots to the doctor monthly and get his assessments about my progress. I waited ten months to write this review because wanted to observe the results and ensure they were lasting. Reviews left immediately after surgery can be misleading since they don’t reflect the final outcome. The growth so far is very promising, and my new hairline looks natural, boosting my confidence. Concerning the cost, I paid $6,000 for the surgery package including hotel stay, transfers, surgery, post-surgery recovery kit, and $1,750 for flights, so in total, it cost almost $8,000.

My name is Jim Sarubbi. I visited the Diamond Hair Clinic 2/11/24 for a hair transplant. I received 5000 graphs and it costs 5500 euros Dr Mehmer Demircioglu was excellent from beginning of the process and keeps in constant communication with me . The consolation we discussed what I was looking for and he made helpful suggestions. He was part of the whole day and I was his only patient. I felt nervous at the beginning of the day but he kept me calm and informed. The hotel and transportation were great . I never felt neglected or unattended. I also appreciate the time he continues to spend with me communicating on any questions I have. If you are considering this process. I believe this doctor should be your only choice. Jim Sarubbi

I spoke to several transplant clinics in Canada and then Turkey. Dr Demircioglu and support professionals were responsive, informative and clearly took the time to review my pictures. Other clinics were cheaper, more aggressive to obtain my business and promised a greater graft count. Dr Demircioglu stuck to his price and assessment due to a poor donor area. Being a health care professional I know the cheapest price is not usually the best value. The quality of care, precision of surgery and seamless logistical support were second to none. I am 5 days post op and can not give you a final result on the success of surgery but it looks great so far.

Dr Mehmet and his team were fantastic for someone who was nervous to travel from Sydney to Istanbul for a complex procedure. It starts with great communication and honest advice. When you arrive everything is taken care for you. Meeting Dr Mehmet and his team you feel very comfortable as his english is good and the clinic looks amazing. The procedure is not simple and I'm really glad that throughout the 9 hour procedure i had a doctor who could help me and walk me through it. Afterwards is where im glad i choose this place, he continually talks to me through whatsapp. He has given me meds and vitamins that were included in the price. Overall, if your gonna choose a hair clinic, don't be silly and choose a doctor for this surgery. And if your looking for doctors you've come across a fantastic doctor with Dr Mehmet.

5000 grafts for hairline+crown, $4500 Euros Selection process: I spent a few weeks messaging different hair clinics to learn more about hair transplants and whether I actually wanted to do one. Upon further research, I established criteria of choosing a clinic where the surgeon is involved in the procedure and they see only a few patients overall. Diamond Hair Clinic (DHC) met both these criteria and you can get a sense of how clinics operate from your conversations over WhatsApp. Some clinics were very quick to provide me with a quote without really taking in much personal information, whereas I found my interactions with DHC more professional and thorough. I also felt like there was less of language barrier dealing with DHC than other clinics. I felt more confident in going with them for all these reasons. Pickup + Booking All of this was handled by DHC and they made the process very simple for me. I was pleasantly surprised to be picked up by a nice limo at the airport and all my transportation was taken care of. Surgery I felt very comfortable with Dr. Mehmet and we spent a lot of time discussing my goals while designing the hairline. The surgery was long and painful (as expected) but not unreasonably painful...I mean surgery isn't supposed to be fun. I felt like I was in good hands the whole time. Dr Mehmet is fluent in English and this helped my comfort levels, and he is patient with answering questions. Post-surgery I would actually argue that the post-surgery experience is the most nerve-wracking of all. The first 3 days you need to sleep upright and protect your head with your life. The anxiety gets slightly better by the day as your grafts become more secure but the whole first 10 days is tough. I would send pictures daily to Dr. Mehmet and he would give his feedback. He is very responsive, thorough, and patient with his responses. This helped calm my nerves significantly through this period. Getting rid of your scabs is a big day and you feel a lot more free because the grafts are firmly secured at this point. I am 6.5 months out from the surgery and very happy with results so far.

I had my hair transplant procedure at Dimond hair clinic in October 2022. It’s been nothing but a great experience. I had been researching about hair transplants for a couple months and almost gave up on it. Living in the United States you hear about hair transplants but don’t think about getting them because it’s so expensive here. One day I stumbled upon Diamond Hair clinics website. I looked at the reviews and the credentials of Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu and was immediately sold. I contacted the clinic via what’s app and sent over my photos right away. Once I was told all the necessary information, we discussed the date and I booked my plane ticket. Upon arriving into turkey I was messaged by the driver about the details of my pickup. It was a seamless experience from landing in Istanbul airport to meeting the driver and getting dropped off at my hotel. On the day of the operation I was picked up from the hotel in the morning exactly on time and driven to the clinic. Once I arrived at the clinic I was met with a big smile and a very warm welcome from Dr. Demircioglu. We had an hour consultation about my donor area and what was to be expected. Dr. Demircioglu explained to me that my donor area was weak and that I would only be able to get 5500 grafts. He gave me the option to still continue with the procedure or not to do it at all. I appreciated his honesty and felt that I was in good hands, so I continued with the procedure. I sat with Dr Demircioglu and his team for another 30 minutes or so discussing my new hairline. He was very understanding about my needs and how I wanted my hairline to look. Dr. Demircioglu explained the whole process to me. He made the incisions with a Sapphire blade and his team made the extraction and implantation. For me personally, the only part that I felt was when they inserted the needles to numb my scalp. I didn’t feel anything else after that and was completely fine. The procedure took a total of about 9 hours with a lunch break in between. After the operation the doctor explained the post operation instructions and gave me his direct number to contact him if I had any questions or concerns. The next day was my rest day and the following day I went back to the clinic to get my bandages removed and my hair washed. Dr. Demircioglu made me feel so comfortable with everything and answered all of my questions before I left to go back home to the States. I very highly recommend Diamond hair clinic with Dr. Demircioglu and his team. They were all so professional and easy to talk with. I am still in contact with him and sending monthly updates about my progress. I am very pleased with my results and can’t wait to see my hair after the full 18 months. Thank you again Dr. Demircioglu!!

Originally I settled for a different hair clinic of whom I paid £500 deposit for, after more careful valuation I decided not to use this company as I found a lot of bad reviews and certainly put me off. I opted for Diamond hair clinic as they seemed more professional with information and their 1 patient rule! I Left Edinburgh on the 6th of august to Istanbul, operation was on the 7th. From the airport taxi to the hotel and hotel to hospital was very good no problems at all. And same taxi to airport was on time and efficient. the hotel was really nice, clean and the food was nice too. Day of the op, left the hotel at 7:30am got to the hospital around 8. Waited in reception around 20 mins and the nurse came and got me and I met Dr Mehmet Demircioglu in his office and was very friendly who explained everting clearly and made me feel at ease. The nurse took blood and left a cannula in place was pain relief later. The reason for them to take blood is to check for diseases like hepatitis, hiv etc Dr Mehmet then came to the theatre to draw on my new hairline, took around 45 mins to make sure it was what I wanted. Next stage was numbing of the back of my head (donor area) and extract hair. This was quite a painful part of the procedure the numbing was uncomfortable at times but didn’t last too long before feeling nothing. This took around 3 hours. Had a pizza for lunch then back to the theatre, this stage was numbing of the recipient area (receded area) then Dr Mehmet done the FUE cut along my scalp and the insertions for the grafts to be implanted. This was done within 3.5 hours. Left the hospital after Dr Mehmet explained the rules to follow around 6:30pm back to the hotel with pain relief and a large kit of shampoos etc which was all included in the price. I paid 4500€, a bit more expensive but this is a life changing decision and best to pay more for a professional than the many amateurs around Turkey. I would have no problems recommending friends and family about Dr Mehmet at Diamond Hair Clinic, but do plenty research before you decide but I can’t thank the Dr enough this far, I see progress happening can’t wait to see it in a few months.

I have just completed my Sapphire FUE Hair Transplant with Dr Mehmet Demircioglu and his team at Diamond Hair Clinic. This review will be based on my experience from booking, all the way to 10 days post-operation. I will write another review purely focused on the results of the operation in around 12-18 months from now. This review is very extensive, so if you are short on time, you can simply read the TLDR section and hopefully you will get the sentiment I am trying to convey. Otherwise, I’d recommend reading the full review because I have spent a lot of time & effort to give the most accurate and detailed review possible, which can hopefully be useful to those considering a hair transplant in Istanbul. TLDR // Summary Deciding on Diamond Hair Clinic and Dr Mehmet Demircioglu was the best decision I could have possibly made. Everything was professional and patient-focused, from the first messages exchanged on WhatsApp to 10 days post operation (where I currently am with my recovery). For those considering a hair transplant in Istanbul, I would HIGHLY recommend you to consider Dr Mehmet Demircioglu, his team and his clinic. Yes, the pricing is a bit more than your average in Istanbul, but for a very good reason and ultimately, you get what you pay for. You are paying for: 1. An experienced surgeon to conduct the incisions, which is a highly technically demanding part of the surgery, and for the surgeon to supervise the whole operation. Experienced is probably not sufficient to capture his skill set - world-renowned is more accurate. In fact, Dr Mehmet Demircioglu is a recognised member of the World FUE Institute. You can see the requirements for membership here https://www.worldfueinstitute.com/see-our-fellow-members/. You can read for yourself how difficult it is to be invited as a member. 2. The purest form of patient focus as Dr Mehmet Demircioglu only takes 1 patient a day, and 10 in a month (if I remember correctly). This allows him to invest all his expertise and energy into a single patient at a time to ensure the best experience, and to deal with any and all queries that a patient may have. This in my opinion SHOULD be an industry standard because a hair transplant is as personal as it gets, but unfortunately, it is far from standard. 3. Dr Mehmet Demircioglu is more than a surgeon; he is an artist & perfectionist. He allocates a full 1 hour consultation to draw your hairline and go over the details, many of which are things a regular individual wouldn’t even know existed. For example, Dr Mehmet Demircioglu showed me some asymmetric characteristics on his own personal hairline, which are not noticeable to the naked and unaware eye. He did this to highlight that naturally looking hairlines seldom are perfect, thus introducing minor imperfections is key to attaining a naturally looking hairline. 4. Exceptional care, organisation and pre and post-operation communications. Being a naturally inquisitive and detail-oriented individual, I had so many questions for Dr Mehmet Demircioglu. He has answered each and every single question to my satisfaction, with more detail than required to ensure I have all I need. He has also provided additional resources for things I have asked about. This is only possible thanks to his fluency in English. 5. A stay in a lovely and well-positioned hotel called Ramada, alongside all transport in big Vito cars. Believe me, the Vito cars are not a minor detail. They have been chosen because they are big and avoid head-bumps post operation. Hopefully, that gives you some insight into the level of thinking and planning that goes into ensuring patients have the best experience possible. 6. The price you pay is not subject to the number of grafts to be extracted and implanted. You essentially pay to have Dr Mehmet Demircioglu around for the day, which is a much better alternative because decisions will no longer be based on financial factors only, but rather whatever is best for the patient in the short and long term. The key thing I am trying to convey here is that Dr Mehmet Demircioglu has set a really high standard for hair transplant surgery. I can only recommend him and inform prospective patients about the excellence of his work and service, but ultimately it is down to the prospective patient to choose the surgeon and clinic. I would highly recommend that prospective patients at least compare other clinics and surgeons to Dr Mehmet Demircioglu because if he is not your go-to-surgeon, then he will serve as a great reference point. Full Review Motivation of FUE Hair Transplant The key motivation for me to get a hair transplant was that to me, hair reflects youth, and as a man of 27 years of age, balding early did not sit comfortably with me. My balding had been progressing gradually over the years, but I most likely accelerated my genetic predisposition by mistreating my hair. In my (even) younger days, I would straighten my hair as I disliked the excessively wavy nature of my hair. I’m of the opinion that doing that over the years has damaged my hair beyond repair, resulting in thinning and complete loss of hair in some areas. To put this into concrete timelines, I started straightening my hair around 15 years of age, and stopped around 20 years of age.I am now 27 years of age, and prior to my operation, I would still use a blow dryer daily to straighten my now shorter hair as much as I could. I was estimated a number 4 on the Norwood scale, although my crown is not as thin just yet, but still thinner than desired. Research I started doing research into possible solutions. Finasteride & Minoxidil were mentioned everywhere, but I got the gist that these will not suffice for me. I was looking for corrective mechanisms, not a mechanism which prevents the worsening of my hair loss. There have been studies demonstrating that Finasteride was effective for some in regrowing hair, but I took those studies with a pinch of salt as I wanted more conclusive evidence and more of a guarantee. Once I had decided that the only mode of action that can repair my hair is a hair transplant, I went ahead and started researching clinics. This is arguably the most difficult part of the journey. I spent months researching clinics, processes, reading advice and so forth. The internet is crammed with a lot of conflicting information so verifying every piece of information gained was quite tedious and difficult at times. The general rule of thumb I used for verification is that if 4 or more reputable sources corroborated the information, then it is likely to be valid. The first thing that became immediately obvious to me is that there are different types of clinics around. I’m not an expert in categorisation of these clinics, but I can broadly and informally categorise them into two types: patient-focused and well-oiled money-making machines. I concluded this dichotomy because when I was reaching out for quotes with some clinics, I was receiving unrealistically cheap quotes (around £1500-£2000 for 5000 grafts) almost instantly, which implied to me that the messaging was mostly template based, and that the quote is generic and not personal to me. Additionally, the sales agents were very pushy and persistent in trying to get me to book as soon as possible. Now, I don’t mean to bash the good work that some of these money-making clinics do. Undoubtedly, many have had success with them, especially in terms of results. However, I urge prospective patients to read reviews and watch plenty of videos on the process of these clinics because most are unpleasantly surprised to find out they are being operated on alongside 10-15 other patients. At this point, I had decided that I wanted a world-class surgeon to do my hair transplant with full focus on me as the patient, and not a technician without a medical diploma. Once I started searching for clinics where a surgeon operates on the patient directly, I came across Diamond Hair Clinic. After reading the reviews, I was confident that I should at least attempt to get a quote from Diamond Hair Clinic because they provided the service I was after. A brief note on reviews - the number & quality of reviews available is quite a useful indication into the type of clinic you are dealing with. I’m not naive enough to think that everyone writes reviews post surgery, but you can quickly filter out bad candidate clinics; some have thousands of reviews, and have only existed for 2 years. Those kinds of numbers are awfully suspicious and indicate a vast turnover of patients. Additionally, there are examples of foul play; censoring negative reviews, manipulating public perception and so forth. I can only advise to check everything multiple times over, and attempt to corroborate across sources. Initial Enquiry Getting into contact with Diamond Hair Clinic was really simple. The website has a Contacts page, which redirects you to the platform of choice, which in my case was Whatsapp. I believe Facebook messenger and email were viable alternatives. I went ahead and sent a message detailing my intent and objective. The admin had responded within 5 minutes of my initial message requesting photos, which Dr Mehmet Demircioglu requires for analysis and probing whether I’m a good candidate for the hair transplant. The angles of the photos were clearly described with examples, so all this was really simple to do. Once the photos were sent, I was asked to share my email and asked a few questions about my general health and lifestyle. After that, I was informed that Dr Mehmet Demircioglu will carefully analyse my pictures and come up with a personalised medical report which outlines the planned operation. This medical report also includes the cost details of the operation. This report takes around 3-4 days to produce, highlighting that Dr Mehmet Demircioglu personalises each plan according to the patient. Booking I received my medical report as a PDF via email exactly 3 days after initial contact. The PDF was quite extensive, with many annotations outlining the operation Dr Mehmet Demircioglu has planned to achieve my desired results. There was a lot of information regarding Hair Transplants in general in that PDF, so it takes a little while to get through to digest all the content. I was quoted 4500 euros for 4500 grafts for my operation, which made sense given what I was about to receive in return (see TLDR section). Shortly after the medical report landed in my inbox, the admin had messaged me on Whatsapp to inform me that the medical report is complete and should be in my inbox. Alongside, a plethora of messages were sent via Whatsapp of previous patients. These messages included pictures, videos, links to reviews and other informational pieces. Again, there was a lot of content to digest. It took me around 3 to 4 weeks of continuous further reading to ensure that Diamond Hair clinic really was my best option. Lo and behold, I was very confident in this choice after corroborating a lot of the information that was provided to me. The booking process with Diamond Hair clinic was very simple. All you need to do is book your flights to Turkey, and they will make the remainder of all the reservations. I enquired about potential dates in September and the admin informed me that those dates work. I then booked my flights for September 3rd 2022 to September 6th 2022. My operation was planned for the 4th September 2022, which to my surprise, was a Sunday. Of course, in the UK, Sunday is considered somewhat of a rest day, but things are different in Turkey. Anyway, all the reservations were confirmed by Diamond Hair Clinic the following day, and Dr Mehmet Demircioglu emailed me a PDF letter confirming my hair transplant booking. The booking was completed in April, so I had several months to wait around. I strategically decided on September because I wanted to recover over winter, and from reading around, I knew that summertime is not ideal as you need to shield your head from direct sunlight post operation, and that you should prevent sweating as much as possible. Practically, it was easier to just do it in September. Towards the end of August 2022, the admin shared more details regarding my trip. Namely, I was passed on the contact details of the company/persons who will be sorting my transport during my stay in Turkey. This was a nice little touch because everything was so timely, thus I never felt like I was missing anything prior to the operation and my flight. Flights and day before operation I booked my flights with Turkish Airlines, and was expected to depart from the South terminal in Gatwick around midday. As had been the trend in the preceding few months, I encountered a minor delay with my flight. I was delayed by approximately 1 hour, which was not an issue to me. Upon learning this, I messaged the driver to inform him that I will be delayed. He was very kind and told me not to worry as they’ve got workers who are constantly at the airport. The flight was relatively short, lasting around 3.5 hours, although the initial estimate was 4 hours. There was food served on the flight, and there was plenty of entertainment to keep me occupied, so that journey was actually quite enjoyable. Once I arrived, I immediately noticed how large Istanbul airport is. In fact, it took me approximately 20 minutes to walk through to the passport control and baggage reclaim. The process to get through security and to reclaim baggage was rather smooth. My first struggle was finding my way around the airport so that I could meet my driver. As mentioned, the Istanbul airport is enormous and has many exit gates. I decided to contact my driver and ask for additional directions on where I can meet him, and he promptly directed me to Gate 13, and told me who to speak to so that I can organise my taxi back to the hotel. Within 30 minutes or so, I was in a taxi which was taking me all the way to Ramada hotel. I went to check in and everything was smooth sailing. I was advised to rest well pre-operation, and that is exactly what I did. Room service was ordered and I was asleep by 11pm in Turkey time, because I was informed that my driver will pick me up at 8am the following morning. Operation Day I was so excited that I ended up waking up around 6:30am, which is crazy because back in the UK, it would have been 4:30am. I showered, got changed and headed straight downstairs to have some breakfast. I’d highly recommend eating breakfast before the hair transplant surgery as there is only a single lunch break during the procedure. Diamond Hair clinic book your stay with breakfast included, and it was a delicious breakfast at that. By the time it was 7:45am, the driver was outside and ready to take me to the clinic. The clinic was approximately 20 minutes driving from the Ramada hotel. Upon arrival at the clinic, I was welcomed by the receptionist. I was asked for some identification (please bring your passport with you) and was given a form to sign. The form was essentially a standard medical waiver, quite common across cosmetic surgery in general. There was nothing outrageous and nothing I did not agree with, so I signed and waited until one of Dr Mehmet Demircioglu’s staff escorted me to his office approximately 15 minutes after. I was taken to Dr Mehmet Demircioglu’s office for the initial consultation. The office was very modern, with some incredible artwork stationed behind the doctor himself. Everything looked state of the art to me, so I was feeling quite comfortable with the whole process. Before we even got to start talking about the operation, Dr Mehmet Demircioglu asked me about my well-being and whether I was nervous or not. Naturally, I was a tad nervous - here I am in a foreign country, and the only other English speaking person is the surgeon who was going to be operating on me. He reassured me, and so did his team, and I immediately felt at ease. We got to start talking about many things: 1. General introduction to who I am, and what I do for a living 2. How I ended up here in this clinic 3. Thorough breakdown of the procedure and its stages 4. Reviewing pictures of me from the previous years so that Dr Mehmet Demircioglu has an idea of how the balding has progressed over the years 5. What was previously discussed in my operation plan 6. My expectations for the surgery It is worth mentioning at this point that the conversation was very smooth and fluid. I was thoroughly impressed with the fluency of Dr Mehmet Demircioglu’s English. If you have been to Turkey before, you will know what I am referring to; the general public does not really speak English, so conversing as a tourist can be quite difficult. His team of nurses also do not speak fluent English, but they speak enough to get by. More on the two fantastic nurses/technicians later. Whilst the doctor and I were talking, one of his staff started taking pictures of the whole process. These pictures are taken throughout the whole day. Importantly, they are not mandatory. You have the option to not have pictures taken, but I welcomed it to add a bit of a celebrity feel to the day. The initial operation plan consisted of 4500 grafts. However, upon closer inspection in person, Dr Mehmet Demircioglu suggested 4000 grafts instead because my donor area is poor, and taking more grafts would leave me more bald than necessary on the sides and back, which entirely defeats the purpose of attaining a natural look. It also wasn’t clear whether my donor area had 4500 grafts to donate to begin with. In fact, Dr Mehmet Demircioglu rated my donor area a generous 3 out of 10, which was somewhat of a shock to me. This brings me to a very very important point, so let me digress slightly from the operation day to talk about expectations. As patients, we may have unrealistic expectations. For me, I was hoping to renew my hairline, add density to the mid section, as well as partially cover my crown with around 1000 grafts. What I didn’t understand is the confines under which the doctor can operate, and that is that my donor area is not capable of donating that many grafts. Of course, initially it’s a hard thing to have to accept - you’ve just traveled across the ocean in hope of finally getting your dream hair, you have found an amazing surgeon, but here you are being told that it is physically impossible. However, you will be forever grateful to your surgeon down the line, because they acted with ultimate honesty and integrity. Dr Mehmet Demircioglu could have delivered exactly what I was hoping to have, without considering my donor area post-operation or any other factor for that matter. Instead, he informed me about the challenges, was honest, and offered a solution to somewhat bypass my physical limitation. This is something that you cannot even buy; only a good and caring doctor, who prioritises the patient before all else will behave in this manner, and for that, I am eternally grateful to have picked Dr Mehmet Demircioglu. I suspect many clinics (those I referred to as money-making machines earlier) would have complied with my crown request, just to ensure that they get my money, but it would have been the wrong thing to do, potentially bordering on medical negligence. Back to the operation day … Once the initial consultation in his office was complete, we began the second part of the consultation, which was drawing the hairline. I was taken to the operating room, and was tasked with describing the kind of hairline I would like. I wanted to mostly fill the corners gaps which are missing, without lowering my hairline too much. Dr Mehmet Demircioglu proceeded to draw the hairline using some laser device and sharpies. This process was really interactive and iterative. Dr Mehmet Demircioglu continuously asked for my feedback with every alteration he made to the hairline. I really enjoyed this process because I learnt a lot about hairlines in general, and it was interesting to see his thinking patterns behind making hairlines look natural. It was truly like watching an artist at work. This process concluded after around 40 minutes or so. The next step was to shave my hair, and change into the appropriate hospital clothing. The entire procedure was explained to me multiple times in advance, and in much greater detail during the initial consultation in his office. The procedure consisted of 3 key stages: Extraction of hair grafts (completed by nurses/technicians) Incisions in target areas (completed by Dr Mehmet Demircioglu) Implanting extracted grafts in target areas (completed by nurses/technicians) My previous research made me think that the whole procedure will exceed 10 hours, but in reality, each stage was estimated to take around 2 hours. I’m not sure whether these times are due to individual differences, such as having a smaller than average head, or whether that is the general consensus. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant surprise knowing that I will finish earlier than anticipated. The stage breakdown above highlights that 2 of the 3 stages were completed by the nurses and technicians. This is a little bit misleading because Dr Mehmet Demircioglu is present in the room for the majority of the procedure, helping and guiding the team when necessary. Also, technically speaking, the only surgical aspect of the whole operation is stage 2, thus it is very important that a surgeon completes this stage, rather than a technician. The extraction stage was arguably the least comfortable of the 3. There were a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, the local anesthesia is extremely painful upon application for the first 1 or 2 minutes. The technicians first apply needleless local anesthesia injections, but the intention of this is to actually ease the pain for the needle injection, which contains the complete numbing agent required for the operation to be painless. The technicians did a wonderful job with me, constantly checking whether I was alright and getting it over the line quickly and effectively so that we can continue with the operation. Secondly, you are facing downward on the bed in an uncomfortable position for 2 hours. Your head is getting tossed and turned and pressed against a rather hard cushion surface. My jaw felt like it had gone through a brutal 12 round fight with Mike Tyson. It was a relief to finally be able to stand up after the extraction stage. After the extraction was complete, I was served some lunch. I was asked what I would like to eat during the consultation in the morning, and of course, I decided on a good old Turkish kebab. The kebab was delicious and I was given plenty of time to finish my food, despite the fact that I am a very slow eater. The technicians catered to my every need, from tissues to water, so a big kudos to them for making the lunch so easy and enjoyable. After lunch, we resumed with stage 2. This was mostly seamless. The only uncomfortable/painful part was the local anesthesia injection, but this time into the top of your head. For some odd reason, this was more bearable than the injection into my donor area. However, it was still very uncomfortable for the first 1 or 2 minutes, and then it was painless until the end of the operation. Once the anesthesia kicked in, I just had to lay on the operation bed with my eyes covered (because the light is so bright), and essentially wait until Dr Mehmet Demircioglu had completed all the incisions. We had a brief conversation, and as you can tell from the elaborate length of this review, I am a very talkative individual. I almost felt bad for Dr Mehmet Demircioglu after a few minutes, and decided to stop talking and allow him to focus on the surgery. The final stage was also very seamless and easy. I continued laying in the same position, while the technicians were implanting the extracted grafts. I do remember getting a bit cold at this point, because the operation room has to be cold to maintain the good health of the extracted grafts. The technicians were kind enough to fetch a duvet for me. At this point, I was almost falling asleep so this step was over rather quickly. All in all, the operation was a lot easier than I initially anticipated. I was expecting to walk out that operation room looking like I had just fought a battle in the trenches, but it was far from that. I was bandaged up quite neatly and felt no pain or discomfort after whatsoever. Post-Operation After the operation, we went back into Dr Mehmet Demircioglu’s office and discussed postoperative care. The success of a hair transplant is subject to so many factors, thus distilling this vast knowledge into a simple set of instructions is absolutely crucial in ensuring a patient can follow the instructions and optimise the chance of success. Dr Mehmet Demircioglu did exactly that - broke down all the steps into simple to follow instructions. He was kind enough to write it all down for me, especially the instructions regarding the postoperative medications. He also provided me with his personal number, and welcomed me to message him with any questions or concerns I have. After the operation in Diamond Hair clinic, you will be given a Greft Plus care package which should last approximately 6 months, alongside a bunch of medications to take for the following 10 days. The Greft Plus care package is rather large, so ensure that you have checked-in luggage large enough to carry it. The medications are crucial in ensuring that you do not contract any infections, while also alleviating some of the postoperative side-effects such as swelling. Keeping your head upright at all times really helps with the swelling. I had minimal swelling due to following all the instructions, and taking the prescribed steroids. A quick note on the steroids - they taste disgustingly bitter. My suggestion is to wash them down with juice, rather than water. I could still taste the steroid even after swallowing it, so juice was absolutely necessary for me to hold down that little steroid pill. With all my stuff in hand (not literally, as the technicians carried all the stuff for me), I was transported back to the Ramada hotel. This was not the end of the journey though, as I was expected to come back in a day for the first wash. The first night was really challenging. I felt handicapped and so limited in every movement I used to be able to make freely. Sleeping upright using a neck pillow, with some bandages covering the entirety of your head is as uncomfortable as one can be. Couple that with constant leaking of plasma and you have yourself a nightmare pending. However, the hotel staff were exceptional and helped me with anything I really needed help with. From adequately covering my pillows with towels to ensure I do not ruin their bedding with my leaks, to delivering food to my room. They were all so happy to help. That night, I managed to get 5 to 6 hours of sleep in total, which is quite good compared to what I had read/seen from other people. I found that the best trick is to sleep in sets of 2 hours, because long continuous sleep is hard to get when sleeping upright. The following day (Monday) was just a rest day. I kept my mind busy by doing some programming, and ensured that I was eating healthy enough to be able to take the medications and stomach them comfortably. I did not leave the hotel room because I was advised not to. Showering was a bit awkward, but I definitely learnt how to be more efficient with water usage since the operation. On Tuesday, I went back to the Diamond Hair clinic for my first wash. The wash process was super simple, and I was taught how to wash my hair for the following 9 days. You simply apply the foam to your transplanted regions, and wait 30 minutes before rinsing off with cold/luke-warm low-pressure water. You repeat this twice a day. I was given 3 foam bottles, which should be more than enough to cover the 10 days. There was nothing uncomfortable about this washing procedure. However, the removal of the bandages stings initially, but that discomfort fades fairly quickly. While we were waiting for the foam to settle, we discussed and reiterated postoperative protocols to ensure I have everything I need to go back home confident in being able to look after my newly implanted hairs. After the wash was complete, I was transported back to Istanbul airport to catch my flight home. For the last 9 days (since I have arrived back in the UK), I have been following all the instructions that Dr Mehmet Demircioglu provided me with, alongside sending daily pictures to him for continued analyses of the healing process. It was quite easy to make a routine out of this, and I have really enjoyed our extensive conversations about other treatments, such as PRP, finasteride and so on. The continued communication is something that you should not take for granted. It has been amazing to be able to quickly get answers for questions or concerns I have, even though there is a two hour time difference. One other thing worth mentioning is that I am thankful for Dr Mehmet Demircioglu’s continued encouragement in improving my lifestyle as a whole. Prior to my hair transplant, I would regularly vape. I have since discontinued all use of vapes, and drastically improved my lifestyle in many aspects, such as diet, use of hot water, sleep, and more. This is all due to Dr Mehmet Demircioglu convincing rationale, and making me realise that part of the reason why I had to take a trip to his clinic to begin with is due to these lifestyle choices I had made. I cannot thank him enough for helping me finally overcome my nicotine addiction. This concludes my review about my experience with Dr Mehmet Demircioglu and Diamond Hair clinic. My next review will focus purely on the results of the transplant after 12-18 months. My plan is to document the monthly progress to help prospective patients manage their expectations. I hope you find this review useful. I have added images of the top of my head pre and post operation. This was to show that my review is authentic, and based on an actual operation. I chose the top of my head to preserve my anonymity. However, I do appreciate that there may be follow up questions. I have created an email account, where I am more than happy to answer any questions. The email is docscraper@gmail.com.

I recently underwent hair restoration over at Diamond Hair Clinic. From the day of initial research, texts, photos examination, their approach was the right one, so were the explanations from customer service personnel. I was a little skeptical since there are so many options in Turkey but, thankfully I booked my procedure with a right one. Upon the day of the actual procedure, the way the treated me, all the personnel, was with the best of manners. I myself am, a medical practitioner, a family physician in the field of aesthetics, and being and aesthetics practice owner myself, I can say that the facilities over at Diamond Hair Clinic are nothing short than state of the art, down to the most minimal detail you can imagene. Finally but not least, the physician, Dr Mehmet Demircioglu is a true Gem, a very caring physician, preoccupied with the best of interests of his patient, in this case myself. He made me feel right at home and in comfort prior to the procedure. Very professional and courteous, as well as his well trained personnel. Although it is still too soon to talk about my results, I am Positive they will be the expected one. Thank you Diamond Hair Clinic and Thank you Dr Memhet!

My name is Brian, I’m a 50 year old Senior Project Manager who lives in the NE of England. I’ve been bald for a number of years and decided in 2021 to take the leap and get a hair transplant. Started my research online and spent a long time reading reviews and feedback. I chose the Diamond hair clinic on the basis of very good reviews and the fact that Dr Mehmet Demircioglu only carries out one procedure per day. After a number of communications along with a detailed personnel hair procedure plan / assessment, I decided to take the plunge and booked my flights. The process was pretty slick, I was collected from Istanbul airport in a executive large taxi and was taken to a very good hotel in Istanbul. Generally the communications were two way using WhatsApp which worked very well. The driver spoke English and was very helpful. The following day I was picked up promptly at my hotel and taken to the clinic. Dr Mehmet greeted me and we spent a good hour discussing the procedure and drawing my new hairline. Nothing that I asked for was too much and I never felt rushed or pressured. Mr Mehmet spoke very good English and was overall excellent to deal with (real top man)! It was a long day and the procedure was uncomfortable at times. However I was really looked after during the procedure and again when returning a couple of days later for my final assessment. The experience and procedure was well worth it. Based on my overall experience, I can’t recommend Dr Mehmet and the Diamond clinic enough. Overall the service was FIRST CLASS and the team were absolutely excellent. I’ve read some horror stories, hence I would strongly recommend doing your research and defiantly don’t pick the cheapest. I’ve attached a couple of pictures showing my hair before and after (six months). My hair growth / volume will continue to increase for another circa 12 months, but my results are very good at this stage. Hope this helps and good luck….

I spent several years gradually researching and learning more about hair transplants and landed on Turkey as destination to undergo the procedure. I reviewed around ten clinics and got into conversations with 3. None were thorough, asking for photos and replying immediately with low costs from $1500-3000. Upon deeper review of these clinics I found many reviews which ranged from good (many looked fake) to some stating that these lower cost surgeons had made massive mistakes with the patient’s hair—patchy growth, awkward hairlines, no growth at all. Many of these clinics only asked for reviews immediately after the surgery, at which point it would not be possible to determine the effectiveness of the procedure. Diamond Hair Clinic was thorough in their review of my headshots, I felt they answered my questions earnestly and had strong long term reviews. Receiving images of former patients with month by month follow up and visible progress was also enticing. I decided to move forward with Diamond Clinic. My hotel and car was handled upon my arrival in Istanbul, which I was more grateful for after spending a few weeks in the city and realizing how difficult getting a reliable ride and hotel can be. Upon the day of the procedure Dr Mehmet Demircioğlu and his team walked me through everything, answered my questions and despite my squeamish nature around needles, blood and medical procedures generally, handled me with care and attentiveness. We also had a levelled conversation about my hairline and results I could expect based on my donor density area. While the beginning was physically painful, the more anaesthtic administered throughout the procedure helped me feel painless and eventually I felt nothing and was drifting in and out of consciousness until the completion of the procedure. Upon completion Dr Mehmet Demircioğlu gave me a kit which contained a series of medications that would help me recover and avoid getting an infection. I stayed in the hotel the following day, ordering room service to avoid going outside. After that I returned to the clinic to take of the bandages from my head and learn how to wash my head. Again Dr Mehmet Demircioğlu was thorough, professional and attentive in giving me instructions in how to handle myself post-operation in terms of what to avoid (submerging my head in water, direct sunlight etc) and how to wash my head/vitamins to take to assist with growth. I am roughly 25 days post the procedure and have recovered well but am yet to see growth, this, as I understand however, is normal. The experience was smooth, I could not have asked for more. I will post again when I start to see results.

For almost the last five years, my hairline has been a source of frustration and lack of self-assurance for me. Until the day came when my hair began to thin out, I used to be full of life. I'm delighted to say that I've found a solution that works for my receding hairline. I'd been researching hair transplant clinics for months before choosing one. I read hundreds of hair transplant testimonials and browsed hair transplant forums, Reddit, for information about the top clinics and surgeons. Diamond Hair Clinic's wealth of knowledge and honesty convinced me that they could deliver on all of my expectations. Mahmod, Dr. Mehmet's assistant, was extremely helpful in discussing all of my worries. Before Diamond Hair Clinic, I had several consultations with hair clinics in Turkey and the United Kingdom. Most of them merely glanced at my few pictures and informed me how many grafts I needed before moving on to the financial aspect. It wasn't very encouraging. I am now ten months post-op and can't be happier with the outcomes thus far. My hair seems excellent, like it's been in the past, and I'm glad I selected Dr. Mehmet Demircioglu as a hair surgeon. It is well worth the money invested. Everything went off without a hitch, and the trip was well-planned. The medical facility, surgery, team, transport, Dr. Mehmet, and hotel were brilliant. I got precisely what I was promised in the hair transplant full package. I would highly recommend Dr. Mehmet and his team at Diamond Hair Clinic to anyone considering a hair transplant.
