“COMPLAINT CORNUBIA 60 MINUTES & DISCHEM ONLINE

REF 60 min - Cornubia
I ordered 6 cans of baby formula 27th Feb 2024 just around 21h20 on 60 minutes for next day delivery between 10am to 11am, the app showed available stock. Paid for it R1594, got a reference number. Next day 28/02, a lady Jabu Mkhize calls me to tell me no stock in store and that she will need to do a refund. Refund will take 5 to 7 days. Told her it's not fair to wait 7 days for my refund as their app showed stock available at Cornubia as you can choose the store. I asked if she can check other Dischem stores and use that payment to secure Formula , she can't do that. She cancelled order on system, no credit/ refund details provided. She promised on 28th Feb that refund will be done, as I advised that I cannot wait 7 days to feed my child for a system error that is not my fault. I called on the 29th, spoke to a Portia who gave Jabu msg and told me that if it was a online order they would have secured the formula or tried to. BTW Jabu called back after my call around 10am, I missed her call. I have called back 3 times since and still no return call from Jabu Mkhize, no refund reflecting on app or on bank account. Where is the refund? EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!
28th Feb - PMB - Woodburn Square
Went to check on formula, a pleasant black gent checked on system, called around for me. No stock available. KUDOs to this gent, very patient and helpful. Checked and told me 3 stores in CPT has stock.

I then did an online order for 6 can of formula, paid for it, ref nr. Hopinv to get stock from CPT that was on system on 28/02. Got a call on Monday saying only 2 cans can be secured, she will have to refund the balance. I asked lady to please check CPT branches as well, she replies that she can't do that as she is Gauteng and the online order only comes from Gauteng. I asked why is that not stated on app. I asked her to please check on which stores in CPT has and let me know, I will contact them myself. She promised to call back, but to date did not. She just went onto system logged the 2 formula for delivery and closed the sale query with credit on my app for the 4 cans.
Issues I have is the ffg:
- If there's no stock at Cornubia, why did the 60 minute go through on app.
-Online order should state only stock in Gauteng will be sent, this is not a app that considers national stock holding.
- When is someone going to call with feedback on refund and where was the money refunded to for 60 minute order.
- When am I going to receive feedback on which stores in CPT has stock and its contact numbers?
ADVICE TO FELLOW CUSTOMERS, some of the DISCHEM STAFF don't care about the service they render. Your problems and your refunds does not matter, their time is too precious to waste on a paying customer! Both my payments were only R1559+ R1594= R3153 in total, maybe it's too little to raise concern with them.”

“I was at Dis-chem Verdi earlier today. I needed help so I asked an assistant if she could help me. She said "No I'm helping someone else" ( she and another assistant were both helping a customer choose between 2 products and it was taking quite a while). Then the first assistant whom I'd asked for help looked at me and sauntered off leaving me gaping in her wake. Such rude and dismissive behaviour. It's clearly true that certain racial groups are unwelcome at Dis-Chem. I'll have to find somewhere else to shop. I was very disappointed by this poor attitude.”
“Disorganised! I just wanted a Discovery Wellness health check. Called to make appointment. Told I could come anytime! I arrived to be told the nurse is "on lunch", so I came back an hour later to wait another half hour!
The pinprick in the finger for the blood samples was more like a stab, leaving my finger sore and bruised. it just bled and bled!
The nurse also told me to "stay off dairy products"! This is not only wrong but misinformed. Women especially need dairy products for the calcium for their bones, especially as they age. Osteoporosis is a very real problem.Without dairy products, the onset of osteoporosis may certainly come sooner!
Why are the nurses so misinformed, Dischem? Shame on you!”

“Always shortstaffed stand in line atleast for 20 mins and never have stock on shelves on certain products I could always get at one store go to another branch then they have some but out on another its inconsistent and pathethic then the staff will say oh our branch is too small only the bigger outlets stock this, I say its bad magement and staff farting around not doing their jobs and not makimg sure that stock is being re ordered or replenished thats BEE for you but remember YOU SAVE MORE @ CLICKS#WEE”
