“Boksburg Retail park Dischem. Pathetic service. From front desk, Nadine, Franciouse, and a elderly light haired rude pharmasist assistant thinking she does you a favour by existing. I wanted to Returning a over the counter product, take note you should not go to your till slip or the dischem website to read about returns but aparently go read the law on medication! Shelve storred cream sealed in container, sealed in little plastic bag that they put it in, bought at 14h00 and returned at 08h30 the next day. Refused with an attitude. Asked to see the manager and was only allowed to see his/ her assistant.
I will be taking the whole families scripst (x7)away from Dischem. Yes they will not feel anything but I can choose who I want to suport.”

Is every person perceived to be a crook until proven otherwise? #dischempharmacies, I really am appalled. I tried to order medication for a long time customer of Dischem, an 84 year old who is in rehab following a bad car accident. #dischempharmacies will not deliver the order unless it is COD. I offered to do an EFT with immediate payment for delivery the following day, that was declined. Patient has no cash, as her purse was removed and taken home along with her other belongings from the wreck. Unfortunately I am in Cape Town and patient in KZN, so its complicated. I am gobsmacked at the aloof and unbothered attitude of the staff member who assisted me too. Take it or leave it mindset. 😡😡😡”

“Bought almond Buttanut vegan milk x 2 expire Jan 2026 yesterday. Opened 1 Buttanut that is sour. Opened the other one, is good. I don't keep the slips, as had no intention of returning. Now just wasted R34.”
“Very bad service at Dis chem sitari.I received nappies as a gift, and just wanted to change it for a different size,the staff and manager had such bad attitudes ,I could tell they did not want to assist us,they had a whole long story on how they don’t exchange nappies any more because they are not the only ones that sell them.Made no sense at all.The store was about to close,it was 16:50 and the store closes at 17:00.Im so disappointed with the service ,which was not the first time,that I won’t ever support dis chem again.”

I went in to buy something advertised bought it on my bank card got the slip only to be told sorry I need to put this sale thru on your card again as it did not go thru on diskems system.
I was very upset then the manager Christo was called and the more I explained that maybe it was because the cashier Zonke only put the new till roll in when the sake was nearly finished. I said in my days the first thing to do would be to cash up the cashier. Count her money and card slips and that should answer the question. This manager was as bad as the cashier who would not listen to anything I said they just insisted I give my bank card so that they could charge me Again.
So now I have to entries on my bank card for one purchase!
I want my money BACK!
This is not normal sales practice I have NEVER had service like this ever before and I have stayed in Cape Town; Durban and Rhodesia.
I will NEVER shop at Diskem ever again.
Do you know what I was taught many years ago when starting work.
A happy customer comes back and brings her family and friends to shop at this store. The best or worse advertising is by word of mouth !
I would suggest Diskem gets somebody to train their staff/cashiers and Managers of the rules of dealing with problems.
Incase this complaint disappears again I am sending it first then I will forward you the till slips photos. Because the complaint I typed before this one just disappeared

“Dischem Gateway are thieves! We bought Gaviscon, a product off the shelf, no script needed. But when we checked our receipt when at home which is 3.5 hours away we see that we were charged a R50 levy. Why? Gaviscon is not a prescription medication. So why were we charged a levy? Utter thievery! Despicable!”
“I received pathetic service after purchasing baby' goodies worth of R2000 and the cashier informed me that since I had bought that much I would get a baby bag.Only to get a call today I cannot get it because I had registered the card after purchase that was the t and c's which was never explained to me and i have been wasting my time everyday trying to load my points.I was then told to buy again something worth R1000 to get the bag.Who does that in this world after I had done a purchase which was said worth of a baby bag.Am very disappointed.”
“Calling Dischem is not fun. You hold on to be connected for 7minutes and once connected they request you to hold and after holding on another 5minutes they disconnect you with no warning.
I am trying again however not confident I will be successful for a straightforward question.”
“Placed order for 60 minutes delivery 1between 10am and 11am it is now 12:12 and still now sign of delivery. Dischem should rather not offer a service they can't deliver. When I phoned blame was placed on drivers.”
“I have called Dischem HO 4 times. I have a T5 account and need a statement. Wrong departments. Taken my email 3 times. Cut me off transferring me. I have had nothing but trouble with this T5- find not being allocated, no statements
, lost emails etc”
