Hi Fiona,
Thanks for your review and I'm sorry you are not happier with the website. Looking at your ad, it would be priced at the upper end of German Shepherds, even despite their pedigree , see https://dogs.ie/sale/german-shepherd?other=ikc Your ad has been seen almost 400 times since it was posted, hopefully you will get some queries, but you may have to adjust the price.
“The price! is far to expensive for this service. Dd was much cheaper and better, more people was there, bigger interest. Dogs.ie is not that popular.
Also all mix dogs ( coocapoodle, multipo and any other 💩) should be categorised as mix breed not under one of the breed category.”
Hi Dominika
Thanks for your review, I’m sorry you are not happier. Finding a new home for older dogs, like your 4.5 year old Boston Terrier can be more difficult, but we do have a site adultdogs.ie to assist with this.
Price per ad is published before an ad is placed, so there shouldn’t be any surprises on costs. There are other websites you can try, we list more than 15 alternatives here https://help.dogs.ie/knowledge-base/selling-your-dog/#dogs-ie-alternatives
Mixed breed dogs like a “coocapoodle” or a Cockapoo are in their own categories. Mixed breeds can select two breeds to show people what their name traits are.
Hi Eamonn
Thanks for your review and I’m sorry you are not happier. Looking at your ad it’s been seen over 600 times and you’ve gotten a few messages and calls about the dogs. You could try expanding the description of the ad a bit or adding more photos.
You can bump the ad back to the top of the listings. It costs €12 and will bring your ad back to the top of the page and add 5 days to your advert.
That's fantastic Eleanor / Martin. Generally dogs don't sell quite that fast, but I'm happy that it all worked out for your littler and that they all found some great new homes in such a short period of time.
“its the only way to sell your dog and make sure they go to a good homes also i suggest videos so you could get a good view of a pup or Dog as you would see them moving about it would show how healty the are thank you Joe”
Thank you Joe for the suggestion and the pawsome review.
We do plan to have videos added to the website towards the end of the year. Currently you can embed a youtube link to be displayed, but you are right uploading a 30 second video would be more immersive and help show people a better view of the dogs in question.
“Need to be far more transparent with the bump ad fee. Dogs.ie make the seller conform to alot of requirements before publishing but the potential buyer (nuisance calls included)does not. If the buyer is interested they should have to register their phone no and email with dogs.ie before they can make contact”
Hi Adrian,
Thanks for review, and I'm sorry you were not happier.
You can set your ad to be contactable with 3 different options :
1) phone number public
2) phone number available for people logged in
3) no phone number, and they have to use the messaging system.
If you select 2 or 3 they do have to verify their phone number and have an account. More information can be seen here https://help.dogs.ie/knowledge-base/phone-number-in-ads/
Hi Alan, thanks for your review and I'm sorry you are not happier.
If you need changed to the ad, please email support@dogs.ie and we can update it for you.
We had to lock it as people were selling multiple different dog breeds in one ad, and the information was no longer accurate.
