Thanks for taking the time to leave a review Rhiannon, and I'm sorry your are not happier. You can edit the price and the ad title, as well as the images. We have had to lock the description / breed & microchip information on ads, as people were selling multiple dogs from the same ad. If you email support@dogs.ie we can do any changes for you straight away.

The price! is far to expensive for this service. Dd was much cheaper and better, more people was there, bigger interest. Dogs.ie is not that popular. Also all mix dogs ( coocapoodle, multipo and any other 💩) should be categorised as mix breed not under one of the breed category.

Hi Dominika Thanks for your review, I’m sorry you are not happier. Finding a new home for older dogs, like your 4.5 year old Boston Terrier can be more difficult, but we do have a site adultdogs.ie to assist with this. Price per ad is published before an ad is placed, so there shouldn’t be any surprises on costs. There are other websites you can try, we list more than 15 alternatives here https://help.dogs.ie/knowledge-base/selling-your-dog/#dogs-ie-alternatives Mixed breed dogs like a “coocapoodle” or a Cockapoo are in their own categories. Mixed breeds can select two breeds to show people what their name traits are.

Very good, however the bump price is too steep

Need to be far more transparent with the bump ad fee. Dogs.ie make the seller conform to alot of requirements before publishing but the potential buyer (nuisance calls included)does not. If the buyer is interested they should have to register their phone no and email with dogs.ie before they can make contact

Hi Adrian, Thanks for review, and I'm sorry you were not happier. You can set your ad to be contactable with 3 different options : 1) phone number public 2) phone number available for people logged in 3) no phone number, and they have to use the messaging system. If you select 2 or 3 they do have to verify their phone number and have an account. More information can be seen here https://help.dogs.ie/knowledge-base/phone-number-in-ads/

This site is for large dog breeding establishment 50€ for one dog and very little interest, the kerry beagle will soon become so scarse due to design bred dogs Surely native Irish breeds should be treated differently. Regards Michael

Hi Michael Thanks for the feedback. We sat down as a team and decided to make some changes to help support and promote Irish native breeds. It's something we feel is important and should be promoted more, and we can do some small part. We have put together a mini-website , www.irish.dog where we will list these breeds and show any ads for dogs that are one of the 9 Irish native breeds. We are also going to add in individial categories, like for the Kerry Beagle, to give them their own space on dogs.ie too.

Hi Paul, Sorry about this issue. We don't accept Revolut cards due to higher levels of fraud. Credit cards from AIB / Bank of Ireland for example should work.

Placing the ad was very clear and easy to do however, it was very expensive (€50) to place an ad.

I think there should be more dog categories on the home page as a menu !! Including a category for Native Irish Breeds !!! All the mixed breeds are diluting the genetic pool and true pure breeds are on the decline, in particular the Irish Breeds that have a far greater presence in countries such as Germany and America.

Hi Clara, Thanks for your feedback and we at sorry you are not happier with your advert. It is possible to get to all the breeds in the search bar at the top. The other popular breeds section is based on the number of dogs in the category in the last 30 days, this is generated automatically. Is there a particular breed that you feel is missing ? Some breeds are better suited in a more general category like “Terrier” or “Hound” rather than their own category that may only get 1-2 ads a year. We agree about promoting Irish breeds. We even have a dedicated site for it, it’s https://irish.dog/ which brings you to a page about the 9 native Irish breeds.

Hi Tara Thanks for your review and I’m sorry you have not gotten any calls. Looking at the ad I think it’s probably priced too high for the current market of dogs, espically for cross breed German Shepehrds. Your had has been seen over 400 times in the last four days.
