Hi Paul, Sorry about this issue. We don't accept Revolut cards due to higher levels of fraud. Credit cards from AIB / Bank of Ireland for example should work.

Placing the ad was very clear and easy to do however, it was very expensive (€50) to place an ad.

I think there should be more dog categories on the home page as a menu !! Including a category for Native Irish Breeds !!! All the mixed breeds are diluting the genetic pool and true pure breeds are on the decline, in particular the Irish Breeds that have a far greater presence in countries such as Germany and America.

Hi Clara, Thanks for your feedback and we at sorry you are not happier with your advert. It is possible to get to all the breeds in the search bar at the top. The other popular breeds section is based on the number of dogs in the category in the last 30 days, this is generated automatically. Is there a particular breed that you feel is missing ? Some breeds are better suited in a more general category like “Terrier” or “Hound” rather than their own category that may only get 1-2 ads a year. We agree about promoting Irish breeds. We even have a dedicated site for it, it’s https://irish.dog/ which brings you to a page about the 9 native Irish breeds.

Hi Tara Thanks for your review and I’m sorry you have not gotten any calls. Looking at the ad I think it’s probably priced too high for the current market of dogs, espically for cross breed German Shepehrds. Your had has been seen over 400 times in the last four days.

Hi Noel, I'm sorry there hasn't been much interest in your dogs. It could be because of the age, them being 2.5 years old, and the price may be higher than people are willing to pay too. You did set that the price is negotiable which is good. Your ad has been seen over 200 times, and we do also feature the dogs on adultdogs.ie , hopefully you'll get some more interest towards the end of the week.

Hi Christina, Thanks for your review. Your had has been seen over 300 times since it was published 5 days ago. Older dogs are a little tougher to rehome, as many buyers are focused on younger puppies. It could also be that the price is a little high at €1000, even if it’s a pedigree IKC registered dog. You do have the price set to negotiable which is good. We would also suggest adding more than 3 images to your ad, you can have up to 10.

A lot of undesirable people contacting us and even threatening us for refusing to sell them a dog.

I thought that the 3 ad bumps were included in the €50 price to post the ad, was disappointed to discover that there’s an additional charge to bump up your advert and which only stays up online for 4 weeks too. Also realised I had made a mistake after I posted the ad and was unable to edit it when I logged back in

Generally a positive experience. The website is easy to use. It's a little bit slow and manual when working through messages but it gets the job done. I would definitely recommend the site to anyone.

Hi Aengus Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. Our messaging system just got a speed upgrade 2 days ago and now it loads three times faster, so hopefully this will help going forward. It’s a fair comment and we have some more improvements for it coming in the next week too, like a search feature.

Website was great, easy to manage and manoeuvre albeit quite pricey. My main concern is not with the website but the manner in which I was treated by potential customers. I understand it’s out of your control but I encountered far more hostility and abusive rhetoric than what I was expecting. There must be a potential way to encourage customers to act in a respectful and responsible manner rather than to become abusive when they fixate on a price over the wellbeing of an animal.

I found it to be a normal format for selling any item, photograph, title, or description. You have to input the microchip numbers. I wasn't sure of the price when I started the advert and at the end, it was €50 for 4 pups to be advertised. It is about 10 years since I advertised a litter so I found it to be excessive but you don't have any platforms for selling pups so you have no choice. I was happy enough to get them on the site. It's difficult to know when you have received a message so you need to monitor either your emails or go to the site regularly. You can change to Watts App after the first communication which I find so much better. After 4 days and 3 out of the 4 pups being booked, I noticed the bump button which said 3 more bumps available, so that weekend I decided to bump the ad. I was shocked to find that another payment of €15 was required to do this. I do find €65 extortionate for 5 days of advertising when you compare other for-sale websites. I was happy it didn't go another weekend and need another €15 bump. I did want to edit the advert but the edit button didn't allow me to change the description about the 1 pup that was still available. It only allowed me to change the status of the chip numbers and pups that were sold or on hold. The site can automatically change the description for you if you choose this option, but I found the description that was offered to be very fake and over the top sickly and generic and not really how people speak regardless of how they feel about their pups so beware when you see that over the top description, it's from a button you press and the website re words your advert. Stepford wives description. (perfect family, perfect life perfect puppy) This is not reality.

Hi Denise, Thanks for taking the time to leave a detailed and honest feedback. We will take it onboard. Just to clarify, the price per ad is €50, whether you are selling 1,3 or 10 dogs and ads are live for 30 days. Bumping your ad adds on an additional 5 days to your ad and costs €12. Generally dogs sell within a few days, like you experienced. We had to lock ad descriptions as people were selling multiple dogs in the same ads, which then didn't have the details that are required by law, e.g. proper date of birth, microchip numbers, etc. You can contact support@dogs.ie at any time should you need any thing changed in there. We do have the option for people to contact you via phone & whatsapp more info can be seen here. https://help.dogs.ie/knowledge-base/contacting-advertisers/

Hi Michael, I'm sorry you are not 100% happy with your ad. The price of the ad is clearly stated before you pay for it, so there shouldn't be any surprises. As for the layout, can you share a bit more info about what you don't like ? We've tried hard to make it look good on mobile and desktop computers.
