Puppies still for sale . A few messages but do not think they are genuinely interested. I like to speak to people over phone or in person to get a feel for them . It’s important to me for my little puppies

If you have trouble putting up your ad someone is always available to help you step by step. Unfortunately despite advertising twice plus 3 bump ups haven't sold all 4 pups so a bit expensive

It’s good because it’s the only dog site really, it’s expensive for a 30 day add

Hi Ciaran Thanks for your review. Generally dogs sell within the 30 days, or there might be an issue with the ad, e.g. price too high, too many other dogs of that particular breed available. If you need extra time on your ad please contact support@dogs.ie and we can extend it a further week for you. It's also a good idea to mark as sold any German Shepherds that you have rehomed, to let me people know they are all not still available.

found it difficult with the procedures to advertise the dogs, but the emails and response times were very good

Hi Darren Thanks for your review, it's strange you didn't get any interest. I've updated your add to be a bit clearer. It is harder to sell a 1 year old dog, as many people are focussed on getting a puppy, especially at this time of year. It could also be that the price is too high for people. Perhaps you can add some information in your ad about his training and other information.

I've advertised on this website a few times now and I find it takes alot of time to make the advert. It's also way too expensive but there are not many other options at the moment. Donedeal was a fraction of the price but unfortunately they dont advertise dogs any longer.

I think dogs.ie is a good site for advertising dogs on. It has a good audience and ads get a good number of views. The only things I think should be changed are the ads should stay listed up for longer and you should be allowed to bump up ads more than 3 time's which is currently the case. I find the more an ad is bumped or up near the top most recent pages the better chance of selling a pet to the buying audience compared to it being down 10 pages or whatever. One other thing I think should be changed also is the description box be left open for sellers incase they need to edit the wording or if circumstances change or whatever else they might have to change. Other than these issues, dogs.ie is a good site for selling pets.

Hi Anon, I'm sorry you are not happy with the price of an ad. We display the ad prices on the homepage and before you checkout, so there shouldn't be a surprise about the ad costs.

It is a great site to advertise dogs but unfortunately there are too many ads going up every day. With 20 plus ads going up every day it is not enough to be able to bump the ad only 3 times. As a new ad that you put up is on page 5 or 6 a few days after. Out of 4 pups I only managed to rehome 1.

Hi Sandra, Thanks for your review. There are currently 883 open ads with 2,405 available dogs, so there is a lot of competition between breeders to find homes for their dogs. We see many first time breeders, who bought a dog during Covid and want to have a single littler with the dog they bought during the pandemic. Your ad has been seen over 400 times since it was posted 4 days ago and it will be listed for 3+ more weeks. Hopefully you get some callers over the weekend.
