By default the description box is locked when the ad is published. We had to lock the description / breed & microchip information on ads, as people were selling multiple dogs from the same ad.

Thanks for the feedback. Can you give more particulars of the issues you have posting an ad? I don’t think DoneDeal always asked for microchips, which was a bit of an issue. If you reply to this message we would love to hear any suggestions.

I’m actually very disappointed that you put up my ad with an inhibition advising that the puppies cannot be sold until they are 8 weeks old.
I would never sell a puppy under
8 weeks and you can see in my ad I mention that the puppies are not available until they are 8 weeks old.
You should have advised in advance that this inhibition would be placed in front of the ad and I would have had a chance to wait another week.

The alert is really more for buyers, so that they are aware of the legal requirement about the minimum age to purchase a dog. We want to avoid people inadvertently buying a dog before this age.
