The idea is sound and probably would keep some potential criminals out, but I am not sure this is what I expected from a company called Armor Concepts. I am not terribly impressed with this sliding glass door lock. It comes with the typical cheap zinc or similar anchor screws. Many of the parts are plastic. While this might not affect the operation of the lock, it just doesn't tell me this is high security equipment. Any future purchases will be highly scrutinized.

Customer service seems nonexistent. I have called 4 times on 4 separate days and left messages but no one has returned my call like the recording on the customer service number says. The door shields that came with the door kits are too wide for the door. Waiting to get this resolved before installing the kit.

I regret buying three of these. I did the “2-quarter” thickness test before purchasing and I still had problems with all three doors. I had to grind these things down -and I still was unable to install all of the parts. In short, I had to leave each door to some degree half-complete and they do not operate as smooth as they did before installation. The installation of this product does not allow proper opening, closing and/or locking of my doors

Product seems to be of good quality. I haven't tested it but it seems like it'll help in the event of a break-in attempt. However, customer service is awful. Ordered 3 Pro and 3 regular, the pros did not come with the hinge reinforcement which is the only thing that makes them Pro. Emailed customer service about them and they were somewhat responsive until I decided I didn't want the hinge pieces anyway and asked to be refunded for the cost difference, then they stoped responding to my multiple emails. Also added on pry protection but that is very bulky and doesn't look great so I asked to return those as well, no response on that either. There is no way to do a partial return on the website so I was stuck with the extra charges and pry protection I don't want.

I liked the product when I viewed it on the web. Unfortunately, when I ordered the product I was sent a bent box with a bent item that arrived in an undamaged shipping carton. That tells me that the person that pulled my order didn't appear to care that they were sending out a likely damaged item. So I get the damaged order ad then have to spend the time to submit a return request, box the item back up, head over to the UPS site and drop off the item and now wait for a replacement order to be re-sent. All of which could have been avoided if I wasn't sent a damaged order. So far, not really a fan. Peter Tuppeny
