I was excited to order quicker my first book, so I found this website to print for the next day, and even if I paid around 34£ just for one book to print, I said, let’s do it. But the books that I received were very disappointed. The few pages were falling apart, and this books for to be sent for review. And to add, was 2 orders, first order was 1 book, and i though maybe just one mistake, i will keep that one, but after i order 4 more and came with same issue. Definitely not recomand to pay a lot of money for a worst service.

2nd order with Doxdirect - I should have learned my lesson after the first attempt. I had ordered an A5 hard cover with 350 pages which was glued (and badly) and was falling apart. I was then told this was my own fault (because I was opening the book too far....) and a refund was refused, instead I was sent another book (again glued, they refused other binding methods. I never opened it and it is still intact while gathering dust on the shelf. The second order was time sensitive and arrived 2 weeks after its due date. Again a refund was refused (the fine print tells you that only the shipping fees will be reimbursed when a shipping is late - which is mostly free anyway) STAY AWAY and find a local binding service instead!

Ordered from DoxDirect last Wednesday, so the 2 day production guarantee has certainly not been met, it has now been a week since my order was placed and as far as I’m aware it has not even been produced yet. I am fully aware this is a busy time of year, however reading recent reviews, I can see multiple people who have ordered later than me, and have all received their order. Why has mine taken so long? Also very disappointing to be told the order will be ‘despatched in a day or two’ multiple times, and no way to track it. Really disappointed and still haven’t even found out what is happening with the order- despite asking multiple times, and as bought as a Xmas present this will definitely not reach me in time.

Hello Jack Sorry Two Day Production may take a little longer at the moment, we do have a note on our website saying despatch may be slightly delayed, I am sorry you missed this. A lot of printers were closed during lockdown, we managed to stay open, so the volume of orders we've had has increased dramatically. Please bear in mind that Royal Mail, UPS and DHL are also struggling with the volume of parcels they are trying to deliver. We're all doing our best sorry. Many thanks louise

DO NOT USE DOXDIRECT! I was a frequent customer of Doxdirect and about 8/10 of my orders had faded ink. I always gave them the benefit of the doubt and still carried on using them. I placed an order last Wednesday and paid extra for next day dispatch. It was not dispatched. I contacted them asking them why and they told me they have been very busy. I understand that in this time they probably are. So I waited. The next 2 days it still hadn't been dispatched, so I contacted them again, this time asking very politely for my next day dispatch money back which was around £5. 2 days after that they replied with a copy and pasted apology email that they have sent me before. I sent another email asking for them to send my next day dispatch money back (which they did finally) and to please dispatch my prints. I have an online prints store and I needed to send these out to customers. They told me they would hopefully send it out that night, which was the Monday. You guessed it, they did not. Today is Tuesday and I sent them another email begging for them to please send out my order because I desperately need it for customers and they sent me the same old copy and pasted apology email. I continued begging them to send out my order today and they said they will try their best. Cut to 2 hours later and they send me an email saying that my order is corrupt they are unable to print it and new order would need to be placed. I will never be using Doxdirect again.

Hello Jess I am very sorry but your order/file was corrupt, so in the end we were unable to print it. We have spent many hours trying to fix this and to print your files for you. We did our very best, but unfortunately it was an issue were unable to resolve. Your order was cancelled and refunded in full. I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused. I received the wrong order and was mind had been sent to someone else. I was really unhappy that my confidential document was in another customers hands. I had to wait another 3 days to receive my own order when it arrived there were indents on every print. Would not use this service again

I Paid for a poker manual to be printed as a gift for Christmas for a family member. The moment he started using it it fell apart. He lives abroad so sent me photos of the problem which I sent on to Dox direct, but apparently they won’t do anything about it unless I send in the original...which I can’t because it’s in Thailand!! Not helpful and poor quality in the first place as 30 pages so far have fallen out, following very light use. Unimpressed with quality and customer service.

Hello Anna Thank you for the photo. I am sorry your book has come apart, but it looks like the spine has been bent too far and the glue has split. Perfect bound books are not designed to be opened flat. However if you return the book to us we will take look at this for you. As already mentioned, as this order is over 2 months old we would need to see the book itself please before a reprint or refund is issued. Many thanks The Doxtors.

It was printed the wrong size and there were black panels behind type. Clearly no one had looked at the work before sending it to me. I sent it to Kall Kwik and they managed to print it correctly.

My work was overlapped and is now completely unusable in such a short time before my degree hand in. The 'preview' of my document looked exactly how I wanted it but the actual print had all the text overlapping itself and my work is completely destroyed. Will have to go elsewhere with the very little time I have remaining before my hand in.

My previous experience was fantastic and this time the prints I received were not good at all. Furthermore after one reply from their Support team asking for the file again, I have never heard anything back despite following up with another email. Extremely disappointed.

First order was a single sheet of A3 sent in a huge box. In transit the paper evidently moved about and was severely bent on one side. Also, the text was missing from document. Very little humility from company when brought to their attention. Wouldn't recommend.

Great quality print, however their website does not function correctly on certain browsers and resets settings such as sizing, conversion to PDF and delivery options. Customer service are responsive but unhelpful and dismissive. Their price back if not satisfied is not what it seems and has caveats that make it untrue.

Hello Andy The ‘Love us or your money back’ guarantee doesn’t cover author errors I’m afraid.  Please see our T&Cs below; Doxdirect offers a ‘Love us or your money back’ guarantee. This entitles the customer to receive a refund for (or reprint of) any order that has been printed/bound to an unsatisfactory standard or has been damaged in transit or has otherwise been incorrectly produced by Doxdirect, where the customer or original file(s) are not at fault for the issue. Refunds or reprints can be requested up to 14 days after despatch of the order. To claim a refund or reprint the customer must initially email service@doxdirect.com (including images of the order as evidence for the refund/reprint request) and return the items to Doxdirect if requested. However, one day production refers to the time we take to print and bind the document (within one day of the order being placed) and then it is despatched. I only received half my order, which made me look very unprofessional when I unwrapped the box in front of my client. I had to find a local print company, in Poland, with 2 hours notice.

Simply terrible service. Having read the 5 star reviews I decided to go with Doxdirect. I prepared an order last week and as at was the first time using the company, I thought it best to speak to somebody in person before finalising the order. I was told over the telephone that my book would be processed in two days and would be sent out on Friday, the estimated delivery date was Saturday. On Saturday the item did not arrive, but I assumed that was because of Royal Mail. On Monday I arrived home from work to find that no item had been delivered. I immediately called the company and was told that the item was only printed today, and was sent out this afternoon. The representative I spoke to refused to comment or offer any advice on when the item would arrive, simply saying "it is not my department". The "two day turnaround service" is very misleading, especially when you consider that I was told in person "it would definitely be out for delivery on Friday if you print it today". I will now have to go to an in-store printer to get this work done as the deadline was Tuesday morning. No doubt it will cost me a lot more than the many other online printers. I strongly suggest staying away from Doxdirect. Not only did they not provide the service that I paid for, they were also very poor in the support provided after business had been traded.

The order was despatched yesterday by 1st Class Royal Mail, so should be with you shortly. Sorry we cannot give an exact delivery date with Royal Mail, only the Courier options. Hi Bob, having offered free delivery on orders above £1.50 for the past few years, we've recently increased the eligible order value to £2.50, and at the same time have reduced postage costs for orders below £2.50 (from £3.25 to £2.50). We feel that free delivery on a spend of only £2.50 is still a very good deal, and the lower priced paid-for delivery service actually makes ordering cheaper for a lot of our customers.
