It was complicated to use and was send to the wrong address. As a result I missed a deadline and have been charged. I am looking to get a refund.

One chapter heading is printed at the bottom of the previous page. Not impressed and very disappointed.

Sorry you weren't completely satisfied with your book. We have checked the original word document uploaded in MS Word 2013 and on our version the heading for chapter VIII appears at the foot of page 30 rather than at the top of 31, which is the same as the preview presented during the configure stage of the order process. Your document contains chapter headings positioned using line feeds. In order to control the position of chapter headings really reliably in Word there is a feature on the paragraph format called Page break before which eliminates the need for line feed spacing and also makes page composition much easier. Hope this helps with your documents. At Doxdirect.com we pride ourselves on quality and attention to detail but unfortunately it is not possible to check each page of every document we process for errors within the supplied document.

Delivery was extremely late, meaning the brochure wasn't available for the meeting it was intended for. Very disappointing. Will not use again.

Poor turnaround despite promising order had been despatched via first class post. Rude staff when contacted Oder hadn't been despatched at all Very dishonest

Hello Christine, Sorry to hear you're not happy with your Doxdirect experience. I must point out that the website does display the date on which an order will be despatched (at both the quote stage and checkout stage). Delivery time is in addition to turnaround time, and Royal Mail delivery dates are not guaranteed (even by Royal Mail themselves). Your order was placed on a weekend, when our production facility is closed, so the order was produced on Monday with 1 day turnaround, then despatched on Tuesday with your chosen delivery method of Free UK 1st Class Royal Mail. Again, the despatch date is displayed when you get a quote and before the checkout to reflect the weekday-only production. As for our staff being rude, I'm sure this was a misconception. Leigh and Lou who you spoke to are both very professional (and lovely) people. However, we don't want any of our customers to be unhappy, so we have refunded you the entire cost of your order. I hope you'll find this to be a fair solution. All the best, Doxdirect

My first lot of prints were bent and creased, the second lot had uneven ink where the printer must have been running low on ink, finally the third set were ok but not great quality, for art prints you should definitely pay more elsewhere for better service.

We do supply free reprints for any customer who isn't satisfied with their order (even when they are simply damaged in the mail as your first ones were). I'm sorry you were not happy with our service on this occasion, and can only apologise that your subsequent prints were not up the standard you required. I have used DoxDirect often in the past (both personally and within a professional capacity) for many years, and have recommended them to my friends and colleagues. However, this last experience was terrible and they have now lost a loyal customer. Despite speaking to the manager and the customer contact, I had no apology and an attitude of "not our fault". Basically, I sent my printing for them to do, in the past I have been informed of any problems, however this time they just went ahead and printed and did not let me know of any issue until all had been printed. I was working to a tight deadline but gave myself enough time, this problem was eventually communicated at 4:30pm on a Friday - too late for me to get it done elsewhere. After complaining, they just cancelled the order and refunded me with no apology. Their only explanation was that in the past a human being checked prior to print, now it's all automated using machines and it was my fault for not setting up to the correct print margins. I suggested that a print guidelines document, or the option of a "checking fee" be introduced to avoid potential problems, but I see this hasn't been done yet so I'm sure they will have more unhappy customers. An absolute terrible experience. The manager just kept saying that they do work for bigger customers with no problems. A customer is a customer, regardless of size - awful attitude. I went to a local printer who honoured DoxDirect's cheap price for us, did the work within 3 hours and I even had a lovely cup of tea and chat with them. They told us they've heard about DoxDirect before and weren't impressed. Our £6,500 printing job is now with them, do not use DoxDirect, go local!

Hello Sarah, We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your recent Doxdirect order.  The majority of online printing services follow an automated process with no human interaction in order to reduce cost to the customer, and while Doxdirect in theory is no exception to this, we do go the extra mile and check print jobs personally whenever possible, at no extra cost. When a mistake on the customer's part is spotted, we inform them, and in some cases we even correct the artwork or reprint an entire order. The mistake in this instance was that the text in your artwork was too close to the edge of the page, which only became apparent after the pages were printed and then punched ready for binding, hence only being able to inform you of the mistake at the time we contacted you. This was a high value job, but nevertheless we did offer to reprint it at no extra cost to you - another rare thing for an online printing company to do - and finally refunded the entire order at our own expense and still shipped it to you. The signed-for delivery was actually delayed because of incomplete address details on the order form, which is out of our control. Again, we are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your experience this time around, and feel we have done everything we could to rectify the situation. Going forward, we have started to add online tutorials to the website (the cover design tool for example) and will expand these to aid customers in preparing perfect documents for printing. Doxdirect for the most part works. When it doesn't work, they insist they will not compensate, but will reprint. We weren't looking for compensation but redistribution of our reprints to all delegates who attended our seminar that day. This was classed as 'compensation', they could only deliver reprints to us and we would then have to sort out p&p ourselves. Oh with £5 off our next order. Not for the second time Doxdirect.

absolutely awful service, paid for fast delivery and one day turn around, didn't receive my item for over a week later. The woman 'Louise' I was put into contact with once complaining was very rude, sarcastic and unhelpful and didn't care at all. Absolutely would NOT recommended this website. Go elsewhere and don't rely on them is all I can say. Would never use them again.
