“Our guides worked well together and were very professional. They handled all the eBird reporting for us. There was down time for people who wanted it. Dinner was always at 6:30 pm so no late nights. It was a good introduction for beginners, but there were some incredible birds for experienced birds as well. One of our guides gave us non-bird related talks that were very informative - about cocoa, growing and producing coffee, and tidbids about different plants and which birds liked them.”
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We're so pleased to hear that our guides made your experience enjoyable and stress-free with their professionalism and attention to detail. It’s great to know the balance of birding and downtime worked well for everyone.
“The company provided all the information I needed to prepare for the tour. The trip was well planned and led by an excellent leader with tremendous knowledge of the birds of the region.”
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're so pleased to hear that both our guide and our team contributed to a fantastic experience. Providing top-notch service is always our goal.
Thank you for your kind review! Our office team works hard to ensure every detail of your journey is seamless, and it’s wonderful to hear that Celine's efforts made a difference for you.
“This was my 5th birding tour with Eagle-Eye. Our previous tours have us convinced we will never travel with any other company. For this one, the birding was an optional part of a tour to some of the most remote islands in Melanesia. The cultural stuff was so incredible that it distracted us to the point where several days we elected to skip the birding altogether, and did not regret any of our choices. Nonetheless, our 2 birding guides were able to find many of the endemics for the 10-person group, and we could have picked up more birds if we had stuck with them, but at what cost? The cultural stuff is not to be missed! Even some of the hard-core birders took a day here and there to appreciate the welcomes from the little villages, (many of the kids seeing tourists for the very first time!) complete with traditional dress, song, and dance (or sing sings as they call them in these islands). I could easily do this whole tour again and not repeat what I did on any of the 14 full days on The Heritage Adventurer.”
We’re thrilled you had such a fantastic time! Experiencing the rich culture of our destinations and connecting with local communities is one of the things that makes our tours so special. Thank you for letting us be part of your journey, and we hope to welcome you on another one-of-a-kind adventure soon!
“Our guide tour is an amazing birder. He can spot things my binoculars can’t. You will discover the meaning of life even if you don’t get a Great Gray. Sometimes it is more important to discover yourself than to spot an owl. Experience the borealis forest and Rudolf.”
“Belize and Tikal with Eagle Eye was a wonderful trip and I would certainly recommend the company again. Our guide Yousif was great and made each outing full of adventure, new sightings, lots of humour, and everything ran pretty smoothly. His photos and synopsis of our trip is something I will enjoy reading many times. Certainly my expectations of seeing many new species was surpassed and getting lots of walking in was great. I was looking forward to the 2nd location having a pool, but due to a booking mix up that did not happen for us. That was a bit of a disappointment, but short lived as the Ruins were fantastic to see.”
“The opening lecture was amazing Jim Duncan is a rock star. Everything was well planned . We were always informed about the next stop . The Guides were extremely knowledgeable and amazing birders. We saw 4 species of owls.”
“First rate trip. Guides were knowledgeable, patient, making sure that everyone saw everything. It was obvious that Ernesto knew his stuff exceptionally well, and Kyle was close behind. Would have preferred spending time at the Metropolitan Park rather than the old town.”
“I have known about Eagle Eye Tours for many years and greatly respect the management and guides. Finally, we booked a tour and found the process to be a very positive experience. Unfortunately, our tour was cancelled due to Covid-19, which was a huge disappointment, but Cam and his team were very business-like and caring about it. We were offered a full refund with no questions asked. I have taken several tours and my experience with Eagle Eye was top shelf.”
“I was very happy with this tour - it was a real adventure! I loved the contact with the communities and the excellent presentations and workshops on board to give us the background of the area and people. The booking done through Eagle Eye went well and Kirsten did and excellent job. Thank you.”
“Everyone so helpful, knowledgeable , made the trip so enjoyable, interesting, a learning experience. Good weather sure helped to enjoy all the towns, birds, plants, waterfalls, whales, zodiac rides etc.etc.”
“Eagle-Eye Tours is an excellent company with a proven commitment to authentic adventure travel. I had great communication with their staff in the planning of this trip. Adventure Canada is also an excellent company with years of experience in adventure travel and access to a wide range of highly qualified resource experts and local contacts. Unfortunately bad weather on this trip posed numerous challenges to the AC staff who were constantly having to react to the weather and modify itineraries. Consequently we were unable to experience many of the anticipated highlights. AC staff worked hard to arrange the best possible alternative itineraries at short notice under challenging circumstances.”
“I went on the concurrent Eagle-Eye/Birding Ecotours Tours of South Africa consisting in The Cape and The Subtropics. I was impressed by South Africa's development: its roads and tourist infrastructure and that you can safely drink the water and eat salads everywhere. Accommodations ranged from the rustic but appealing Hartnekskloof in Tanqua, to the luxurious Wetlands B&B in Wakkerstroom and Linger Longer in Dullstroom. The rocky drive up the Sani Pass into Lesotho was a highlight for me. Domenic Rollinson was a tireless and thorough leader who had the uncanny ability to remember everything that had been seen that day. He also remembered who among us had failed to see a species so that this could be remedied when a second opportunity presented itself. Remarkably, we logged 9 owl species on these two tours, partly due to Dom's up-to-date intelligence from various sources. Dom also coped well with a couple of flat tire incidents that occurred on back roads. The cancellation, due to high winds, of the pelagic trip out of Cape Town was a disappointment. But that is the weather for you.”
“The tour was well organized with knowledgeable, helpful and friendly guides. The days were full with some early morning excursions and evening owling. The weather was unpredictable, cold and rainy to start, hot and sunny at the end so layers of clothing were required. We saw many species as well as mammals.”
“This tour was excellent. We had snowy weather to deal with but it all went smoothly. The pace was relaxed, individual requests were accommodated. A short and sweet birding trip.”
