The narwhal and polar bear trip was great. The place was stunning and the guides looked after us well. A few minor gripes but nothing considering we were camping on an ice flow off northern Baffin Island.

What a great tour we had. Thank you so much. All went according to plan, and the birding was spectacular. At times it was hard to keep one's head tilted up observing the birds. The accommodations were wonderful, some more rustic than others. Loved the garden and parklike setting of the Bougainvillea, and the grounds of La Quinta De Sarapiqui, and of the Arenal Observatory Lodge. What wonderful, exciting bird and wildlife places. The Paraiso Quetzal Lodge was an adventure in itself, as it was quite cool there and with 4 blankets on the bed it was difficult to move around. The room was just not built for cool air that seeped up through the boards and blew under the door. But it was all part of the adventure in the mountains. And we saw the Resplendent Quetzal the one morning. Ernesto just knew everything about birds, and the flora and fauna, and at times he was a bit humorous. He was superb. And Steve was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about everything and very friendly. He was super too. Hard to believe that they know the birds by size, shape, colour and song so well. Would recommend this tour.

Eagle Eye Tours have prepared an extraordinary trip to Alaska. Three locations covered all habitats for Northern and Arctic birds. The guides were excellent, helpful and always available.

Seeing the region is so much better than reading about it.

We wish to give Eagle-Eye Tours top marks for stepping up for their clients in emergency situations. Recently, my husband and I joined their Costa Rica Birding Tour and on the first full day, my husband had a medical emergency early in the day while we were at a birding reserve in the hills above San Jose. Our Guide took over right away, arranging for the driver to take over the Group for the rest of the day and for a ride to get the three of us down to the closest hospital Emergency. He then spent the day with us coordinating between the hospital personnel (who knew little English) and ourselves and with the Eagle-Eye office back in Canada (starting the process of making necessary arrangements to get us back home to Canada). He didn't leave us until he had to in early evening, but before he did so, he provided a contact number for a fellow employee at the Canadian office, who then stuck by us via phone and text until my husband was released from hospital (at 10:30pm PST). At this point, the office contact arranged for a hotel nearby for that night. The next day, he booked an Airport hotel for us and made flight arrangements (which included special assistance by Air Canada the whole way) to our home city in B.C. for the following day. This employee then followed us all the way home via texting to make sure we made it in one piece. Way to go, Eagle-Eye Tours! We want everyone to know that you are safe when touring with this company: if you are ever in trouble, they are there for you until the problem has been dealt with and we will be forever grateful to all the people who contributed to getting us home safely.

I was along as a non-birding participant, and I still enjoyed the incredible scenery and wild places. Guyana's lack of infrastructure makes for rustic accommodations, which I loved. Just don't expect every-day wifi. Bring and use insect repellent--I got munched by chiggers, which was my own darn fault and detracted from my experience. Paul is a fabulously kind and birdy guide who can track down tiny gray birds all day long, and our local guide Gary is an all-around great guy too, with an encyclopedic knowledge of Guyanese birds.

The trip was more arduous than I thought it would be but then I’m 73 and a lot were younger in my group. All 7 participants were a pleasure to be with. Our leader, Ernesto, I have upmost admiration for.....kind, so intelligent, he KNOWS the birds. The bus driver was excellent also, Jorge. The places we stayed I will always remember. I felt well taken care of. I highly rate this tour. My bird list has expanded exponentially!

Well planned trip covering a wide range of Panama habitats. The number of species seen exceeded my expectations. My life list increased greatly. The small group size made it easy to enjoy the experience. Wonderful tropical birding experience.

The expert guides are knowledgeable and friendly and ready to serve almost any request. Getting to see all you want to see may entail much driving by your guide on gravel roads, so do hope for good shocks on the van!

Our Australia guide, Barry Davies, is not only a bird expert, but reads people well and adjusts accordingly. He also has built great relationships with local contacts, from other guides right through to restaurant wait staff, which added to the whole tour experience.
