“For our England tour an erupting Icelandic volcano made for following plans very tricky. But even under these trying circumstances every effort was made to give us a fine experience. Only my wife and I managed to make the tour. One guide dispatched from Shetland managed to get to London albeit a late in the first day and the other two guides from Alberta about a week later. Two of us and three guides - it was great! Lots of birds, exeptional gardens, excellent guides, generally good accommodation and food. We have been on several other Eagle Eye tours and are booked for Cuba February 2017. Obviously we regard the company highly.”
“The people really made the trip. The guides were so knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour as we stumbled over the unfamiliar bird names. They kept in touch with colleagues so that we could check out good birds in real time. I loved everyone in our group. It was great to be in the company of like minded people for a good period of time. I never felt rushed and we got really good looks at the birds. There were so many wonderful, colourful birds! The bus driver was fantastic and kept the windows spotless. The accommodations, meals and birding stops were great. I didn’t think about anything but birds and other creatures for a whole trip. The itinerary was well thought out for a worry free trip. Great time. I know I’d love to return to Costa Rica.”
“A well organized and carefully crafted tour (despite accommodation hiccups in Intervales Park). Forested ecosystems require a thorough knowledge of bird vocalizations - fortunately both guides excelled in this regard, resulting in a huge list of bird species at tour's end including an equally huge list of endemic and near-endemic species.”
“Six days of excellent birding in the fall birding Mecca of eastern North America. Access to sighting of >150 different species. Access to one of North America's top birder and one who is both genial, competent and driven to provide the best possible experience.”
“The company was available to answer any questions and sent out information that helped to prepare you for the trip. The birding/trip guide was knowledgeable and helpful in all circumstances.”
“It was amazing to be in a world that was totally new to me. White on white on white, camping on ice that in a month will be 1000 ft deep water, and 24 hour daylight, narwhals, polar bears, seals, birds and more birds”
“This is a wonderful tour which more than lived up to my expectations. I wanted to see and photograph beautiful landscapes, birds, wildlife, etc. It all happened. We photographed Torres de Paine and El Chalten at sunrise, saw King Penguins, visited two glaciers, photographed many new bird species, saw 11 puma in one day...”
“The leaders were really helpful in showing me what to look at to distinguish between different species. I felt like I learned a lot. All while having a nice time with different people.”
“Trip was incredibly successful with the number of species seen, and the possible numbers of birds one can add to a Life List. Birding areas were plentiful and easily accessible. Small group allowed easy visibility for everyone. Accommodations and van transportation comfortable. Bird Guide, Alexander (Alex) Alvarado, was professional, personable, high energy, eager to please in all respects, multiple years of experience guiding, quick with his eye, ear, camera and scope.”
“It was a great tour. 11 of us plus two excellent leaders. They were very knowledgeable and friendly and competent. We saw whooping cranes , which was wonderful, and about 100 other bird species plus red fox, otters and ground squirrels and butterflies. The days were long and rewarding.”
“I think I've taken about ten Eagle Eye tours so obviously I'm a fan. as always great guides who are knowledgeable in many areas of the natural world, make sure every one sees and has a good experience. Eagle eye office staff are also very helpful.”
“Needless to say the staff, accommodations and food were excellent on this Adventure Canada tour of Scottish islands. The weather was fantastic for Scotland, though I'm not sure that Adventure Canada had much to do with that. I really appreciated the attention and planning of the Captain and management. When winds portended a rough landing, they arranged alternative visits. They also went out of their way to arrange a trip to Scara Brae. Without exception, the staff were knowledgeable in their fields (geology, botany, ornithology, marine life and photography) and were articulate in their presentations. Very highly recommended.”
“The tour was well organized with excellent food and accommodations with first rate guides and a comfortable bus with an excellent driver. We covered every altitude from Crocodile infested mangroves through middle altitudes of rainforest to dryer rain shadows and up to the highest forests in central Costa rica.Covering all Costa Rican ecosystems gave us exposure to the maximum amount of birds. We counted well over 300 species, our guide was remarkable at finding and Identifying birds as well as the fauna and plants.I would certainly recommend this tour to anyone seriously interested in birding.”
“As a solo traveller, I was made to feel welcome and enjoyed the shared experiences of fellow travellers. It was great to be active in the field, different habitats each day and the weather cooperated too! Be prepared for mosquitos in some areas...bird food! Our leader Kyle kept an even pace and we saw lots of birds, many new to us all!”
