Called eBay requesting company status or LTD company or plc. They refused to tell me. I explained it’s for small claims court proceedings. I recorded the call for my protection. They refused on call to give info. Escalated to ombudsman. This costs them 750. If you have a complaint refer to the ombudsman. It’ll cost them 750. Make them pay for a change!!

I can't say something bad about the ebay because back in the day it was a pioneer marketplace for e-commerce business. Many people in the beginning of 00's started their business from the ebay reselling different stuff, exchanging products or just bargaining with people. I'm thankful to them that I was one of those who started business on this platform, cuz it has taught me many valuable lessons.

I have been with eBay for over 10 years as a top seller. Unfortunately, eBay seems to favor scammers who purchase two items and then return empty boxes to get them for free. We did our best to notify customers about the need to return products, but we were penalized for our honesty. eBay is disappointing.

EBay is absolute rubbish to use as a seller of used designer handbags the joke is I buy them from eBay sites! in bad condition and restore with them ,I do not add to them I do not change their design I just fix them, condition them, recolour any fading, repair cracks etc. As soon as I put it back up on eBay they tell me it is a counterfeit or fake! if I call Customer Service they have no idea how to help or what I'm talking about or why it's been removed sometimes the computer automatically does it sometimes it's an eBay so-called expert looking at photos.. The customer service teams give different advice often contradicting each other and when I point out if you read the counterfeit policy and that these these bags do not fit into that problem area they have no answer... The second joke is there are so many obviously fake and counterfeit bags on their listings that they leave up... even when they have been reported and the points that make them obviously a counterfeit bag pointed out.... I have spoken to many other people in the used resale of designer Bags Arena who have reported exactly the same problems with eBay.... but apparently they refuse to update or educate their staff and systems

There are sellers selling counterfeit coins.Especialy be aware of buying gold coins because almost 90% of all gold coins are fake ,goldplated brass replicas.Many coins are in fake NGC or PCGS holders! After I contacted eBay and show them evidence they answered that selling counterfeit coins is not in violation of eBay policy! Avoid this marketplace if possible!

If you have used Guest Checkout, there is no way to contact seller when there is a problem. The page refreshes and INSISTS that you start an account, just to respond to the seller or attempt to get help!! If I wanted an account, I would have started one! Ebay should not have a "guest check" out option if the customer needs an account in order to get service!! You are completely at the mercy of the whims of the seller. They keep your money and decide whether or not you will ever get your item. If you go through "automated assistance," it is no assistance at all, no contact with a live person. I now have to wait until the 19th of March for my item (which I paid for on Feb 25th!!) It is hung up in transit, most likely lost or never even sent, and I cannot contact the seller (or Ebay!) to request a refund! Please do not use Ebay, you will be sorry!

Do not even bother placing an order as a guest on ebay! In the event that you have a problem with an order, you cannot go to "contact seller" without the page refreshing and loading another page which insists that you start an ebay account! I had a bait and switch product sent to me, one which was NOT what I ordered but completely different. The ebay "help" page is just a bot and you can never get a hold of a live human being.

i've sold a pair of boots on ebay, the seller made a dispute on the pretence that the size was wrong and asked for a return. 5 months later i don't have neither the boots nore the money even though ebay stoped 30 euros more from the account for the return expences. During this period i've tried all the steps required by ebay with the answer being the same all the time"the resolution was closed in favour of the buyer". so now im being fu..ed by the buyer with the help of ebay.

I am a new seller on ebay, and so far they have done nothing but discourage me from moving on. Absolutely useless! They just have scripts they follow and that's it. The last time I talked to them, they literary flipped me off! They keep my money for a month and a half, even though the buyer talked to them on chat, and confirmed that the product was delivered, and that he is very satisfied. I don't even know if this is legal or not. I had to retract all my products, from sale, because I can't afford to pay for them Transport. While Ebay uses my money.

I sold an item that costed £22.90, fare enough I was charged £3.23 on fees, but I was only given £3.29 instead of £19.67, when I asked them about that, they had charged me more fees. They're thieves and scams.

I have been an Ebay user for years, buying and selling. I had a high seller rating, and purchased form a lot of great seller. Ebay at some point had lost all my information and I had to start back from zero, Ok so I will just build it back. In 2015 redid my account, not so much to start selling, but to buy things. With that being said, since then I have had a spinal cord injury and became a quadriplegic and it has taken me awhile to get back to doing things. This past week I started selling again, because I'm on a very limited income. I made a couple of sales, but they would not release the funds because they didn't show any past history, because they had wiped out my prier account. Long story short, I need the funds to be able to pay shipping, and they won't release the fund to me so I can ship. Even though the lost all my older information about being an A+ seller. Ebay has had other issues, but im done, plenty of other platforms to use online to sell, that a definitely more enjoyable and less headaches.

ebay charged me $55.83 for not selling an item (I set the price, I could have chosen any value and they charged me about 20% of the value: EVEN UNSOLD AND CANCELLED) They also held the buyers money for over two weeks after the buyer and seller cancelled the transaction. The buyer complained their money was being held and ebay chat representatives used this as justification for charging me $55.83. The other representatives Horrifying.

Ebay has raised their fees and it is not worth selling anything on eBay anymore. I sold and item for $200 plus shipping $28, plus tax equaling to $244. They will charge you selling fee on shipping and sales tax. Not sure if that’s legal. They should be charging fee only on the item sold. Two weeks later they are charging my account $18 for additional shipping. Don’t use their shipping, chose your own. It’s a scam site. You are better off selling on offer up or other app.

Fraudulent activity committed by eBay, a well-known online marketplace. I am a seller on eBay, and I am currently facing a distressing situation where eBay has allegedly facilitated the transfer of both my money and goods to a buyer, leaving me at a significant financial loss. Consultation with Legal Experts: I have engaged the services of legal professionals with expertise in business and consumer law to advise me on the appropriate legal actions to pursue against eBay. Update - after speaking to an Ebay rep they refunded the fee for cancelling the auction. I had contacted them about the wrong price being entered and they said to cancel the auction and small fee would be assessed. They did not tell me that all I had to do is go to 'site map' at the bottom of the page and chose cancel bids and then cancel the auction and redo it. No fee for that. Since I asked for advice from Ebay, had the message they sent, and the only advice given made sure I paid a fee, I was refunded. Really not appropriate behavior from staff. I did complain that for a tech driven company their website is very confusing and hard to find things. If sitemap is where you can see everything it should be under MyEBAY dropdown.

Very poor customer service ! 28 agents trying to sort out an issue m, more than 10 days and still receiving confusing information ! If you run a serious buissines stay away from the platform, people from UK very nice but back office terrible ! 28 agents ... 1 trip to their office in London and issue still not resolved, getting the same email over and over again with operators not paying the minimum attention to their job !

Avoid buying expensive stuffs on eBay!!!! I got scammed with a a laptop, it arrived block and I asked for a return and eBay provided me with the QR code and i suggested to get a insurance shipping label but the seller was highly aggressive and abusive and he denied my suggestion so I contacted eBay costumer service and they told me not to worry, if the item got lost they were going to refund me because I used their QR code and I sent back the item and the item got stuck in transit and then lost. I contacted eBay and this seller opened a case about the item and sent a letter from “usps” saying that I never dropped off the package, when I have a receipt and witnesses from usps that saw dropping off the item they refused to believe me, even when I sent screenshots from this scammer threatening my own life, he told me “he knows where I live” and they still closed the case in the scammer favor and they don’t want to refund my money, even though I already gave up the item and my money, i spoke with the usps inspector from my local area and he wrote me a letter saying that did dropped off the item and they still refused to pay my money which was a total amount of $1316.09 so i basically got scammed and eBay won’t help even if they know this “seller” is a scammer they are protecting him, and not helping their costumers. Never buying on eBay and I hope this experience help you to not commit my same errors, DONT TRUST EBAY

Item described as TWO packages of of file folders. I paid for two and received ONE!! Because I received 1/2 the order, eBay said I received the whole order and closed my complaint leaving the seller with the money and one of the items. If you get your item, it's OK, but if you have a problem, they don't care.

I've used eBay since 1994. It was first awesome, went to good and now is a money grabbing, low quality service entity. I sold a chair at the weekend - £1. No postage as pick up. £1.60 went to eBay for final sales fee and fixed sales price. I've been charged 10% of postage before too. I'll no longer use it for Selling unless the fees come back down again. Just turned into a money grabbing entity. Sad - as it was epic in its day - however it's ownership has changed, so that probably explains a lot.

Purchased Compact Single Display Automatic Watch Winder model: Atom-1BPL/WPLPurchased Automatic Watch winder from Seller There is no specification on the Sellers site that this watch winder is not suitable for Kinetic movement watches Although the winder does rotate normally for an automatic watch, it is insufficient speed to move the Kinetic rotor to charge the battery If I had known this, I would have not purchased this item The Sellers should note this on their website that this watch winder is not for Kinetic watches I try to resolve this with the Seller and wanted to return this product Unfortunately, the 30-day return policy had expired, and the Seller was confrontational and threatened to have my E-bay close my account of I gave bad review Wow ! the last time I looked it is still Australia , the land of free speech ! Nevertheless, I submitted my case direct to EBay customer help. I accessed my account today and the case is listed as closed So, there you have it .......

I have 2 complaints about Ebay Have phoned several times and got nowhere 1 a service advisor called Ariel was supposed to ring me about a problem with eBay not updating listings I had an offer of 80% off fees and I couldn’t list on Friday or Saturday This service advisor said he would make sure I didn’t lose out on the 80% off, but I’m still waiting for the call 2. I listed a Dior charm which eBay removed saying it was counterfeit which it wasn’t They didn’t contact me just high handedly removed the listing It has to be flagged to some team to investigate which will take 24-48 hours The 80% off fees ends tomorrow Customer service is totally useless All you get is sorry If they don’t sort these issues out I will be leaving eBay and selling elsewhere

I brought an expensive pari of earrings.. they were not as described on the site . After two independent jeweler reviews I sent them back to the address on the sellers shipping package. The seller said she moved but no problem she had a forwarding address. Its had been over a month .. she continues to forward her address, so USPS is play catchup; four times already in 30 days. I am out of pocket $$$$'s. Ebay continues to support the seller instead of discipling the seller for fraudulent activity of misrepresentation, constantly moving . Iam an activist will continue to write on every website, FTC and social platform about how I was bilked on EBAY; EBAY teammate said they would discipline the seller for constantly using "forwarding address" by July7th, but to date has done nothing to reign in a scammer vendor on the EBAY platform. BUYER BE WARE

I opened a LTD company to trade on this platform, created an account, made 0 listings 0 actions and got permanent ban in 45 minutes. Only reason I can see for ban is that I am a ukrainian person, so will try to file a lawsuit against them and will update the review with my progress. Would stroungly discourage any small business to use this platform. Support did not even try to resolve my issues, just standard response texts.

Just use ebay to buy, do not use to sell things. Too many scammers and ebay don't care, scammers excuse are "they have been hacked", "someone else purchased it" and charge back galore, and if you get a charge back you end up with a charge back processing fee. Not worth the money and hassle of wasted time and loss of your money. Good thing I use ebay less now.

Ebay/ Packlink /Evri have started a new joint scam. They are targeting high value items and removing them from their packaging systemetically, re-sealing the box and delivering empty boxes to buyers. The seller has to refund the buyer and then they don't compensate the seller. The items are likely sent off to a parallel economy where the items are sold on the black market for profit by eBay, which is struggling financially due to high fees. This has happened to me and for two months eBay and Packlink avoid responding. I know my item has been re-sold due to location services.

EBay permanently close my 15 year old account with 1866 purchase because I returned some items that was counterfeit. One seller claimed it was real when I had reasonable proof it was fake and made an appeal and eBay took his side. They said I was taking advantage of the return policy as I returned an item that was stated “not as describe” which seller claims it was “as describe”. First of all, I have a authentication certificate from Legit Grails that state the item is FAKE. Second, EBay prohibite counterfeit items and they took blindly the sellers side without even looking at my proof of counterfeit. I purchased Chanel purses for around 1000$ to 4000$ and I’ve received 4 times counterfeit WITH proof of authentication of counterfeit. I called maybe 10 times and no one resolved anything and each tell me a different story. With the amount of items I purchased in 15 years, I can't believe Ebay terminated their relationship with me because I did return BROKEN, COUNTERFEIT OR NEVER RECEIVED items and see my business none profitable when its totally their responsibility through the Money back guarantee program to make sure the item is as describe and properly received and not close a 15 years account because they screwed up and sold bad items.
