“Lovely spacious and surprisingly light basement flat in a quiet part of New Town. Clean, comfortable with everything we needed and very handy for all Edinburgh attractions and helpfully a Sainsburys Local.
We would hope to stay again next time we are in Edinburgh.”
“The appartment is spacious, fully equipped and perfectly clean. Besides, the location is perfect as it is only 5-10 minutes walking from the old town. Just perfect !
Simplement parfait !”
“Very handy if staying with chldren, as there's loads of museums and things to do on/near the Royal Mile. (Museum of Childhood, Dynamic Earth, National Museum, Elephant House cafe- Harry Potter, etc) Also the children's park and central green just 2 minutes from the flat was much appreciated. Nice having a local Sainsburys and Peter's Yard cafe just downstairs too. Need a head for heights though, being on the 9 th floor!”
“The apartment is within easy walking distance of all the main tourist sites - the castle, galleries, Princes Street and right next to Holyrood Palace and Arthur's Seat. The equipment in the apartment is of a high standard and easy to use. There is a lot of helpful information about Edinburgh from the landlord in a manual.Really great place from which to explore Edinburgh.”
“The flat is very well equipped with all the mod cons. It is clean, comfortable and cosy. We were 5 adults in the flat but it felt like there was enough room for everyone. It is very close to supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants and shops. The flat is walking distance from the centre but also close to bus stops. The owner is very helpful and replies back to queries very quickly. This flat is highly recommended if you are two couples or a couple with two/three children. However the flat can easily accommodate 6 adults (two of them would have to sleep on the sofa bed)”
“The flat was very modern and clean, much more roomy than I'd expected. We had 6 people staying and it never felt cramped, the included parking space was a bonus. Great location just a few minutes walk from Waverley station and Princes St. Excellent restaurants, bars and shops on Broughton St just two blocks away and other options on Leith walk. Beds and bathrooms were comfortable and clean, there was plenty of hot water on demand. The owners were very welcoming and made up the beds to my request even with only a couple of hours notice. My only (and very minor!) negative coments would be that the flat didn't contain many books or games, so take your own, and it could possibly do with another sharp chopping knife and big serving bowl in the kitchen. Apart from that there was nothing to fault it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere to stay. Great value and a great stay.”
“We were delighted with our stay. The landlord could not have been more obliging and thoughtful. The entry on the site does not do justice to the quality of the accommodation. It is light, spacious and very well equipped. Some improvements are still ongoing but the quality of the provision so far is outstanding. We were a group of 8 and it suited our purposes perfectly. There was ample room for 3 more but it would require sharing rooms...perfect for groups with younger children for example. I would recommend it to anyone and if we go back to Edinburgh in such a large group I won't look anywhere else.”
“Apartment is modern, spotless and is tastefully decorated that provides a real homely feeling. The location is superb with short walking access to lots of restaurants, pubs and shops. Gill greeted us and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended and we look forward to staying again.”
“Completely blown away by the place, the pics we looked at where good but the real thing is so much better. We felt completely at home there, the apartment had everything we needed an was a short walk from the town centre with all it's attractions. Brian is a lovely man, very kind and helpful an we really appreciated the welcome pack. Would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone. We will certainly use it again !!”
“Wow! what a magnificient corner apartment with spectacular views over the Firth of Forth where you can sit for hours watching the wildlife and the boats go by. One of the best we have ever stayed in.
Accommodation is spacious and top quality. The bus stop is just around the corner.
Both Asda and top quality restaurants are a short stroll away. Super location.
There is ample car parking.
We intend to stay there again later this year.”
“What an amazing apartment. We stayed three nights at forth street for our honeymoon. With a small baby we wanted somewhere central and luxurious, and forth street delivered both. The apartment is well situated near cafes, bars and local shops which give the area a real cosmopolitan feel. The apartment was equipped to the highest standard - including a high chair and cot for the little one. I will be recommending this property to our friends. :-)”
“This apartment will be your home in Edinburgh! It is comfortable, cosy, complete, nicely decorated, and well taken care of.
Around the corner of the castle, and surrounded by cute shops, and little lunchrooms, you'll be short of time and money immediately!”
“We had a blast in the luxuriously appointed Georgian apartment. The large rooms with the high ceiling was a joy to unwind in. The large windows ensure lots of sunlight inside the apartment. The location is within walking distance to the city centre. A bus-stop right in front of the apartment made it even easier for commuting to all the main attractions in Edinburgh. The welcome hamper of wine, fruits, bread and milk was greatly appreciated. We will definitely return.”
“the apartment is in a great location, close to the centre of edinburgh, shops, pubs and restaurants etc, the apartment is clean with a decent sized main room.
the owner was very accomodating.”
“Great property view, location and amenities . Internet was fast. Travelled with our son and daughter In law. Loved just sitting and looking for bunnies on castle hill. Short walk to castle. Great restaurants right outside the door. Enjoyed the haggis n Guinness at the pubs. Fish n chips every day.”
“The flat certainly manages to capture both elegance and homeliness at the same time. The elegance is immediately apparent from the outside, in that the flat is toward the centre of one of Edinburgh's famous crescents, facing a large private garden shared with neighbouring residents. Inside, the lounge is particulary impressive with its high ceiling and tasteful decor. In terms of homeliness, the flat is, quite simply, very comfortable: just about everything is there to make this a relaxing place to be. If you turn left out of the front door, leaving the quiet of the flat, and walk for a couple of minutes you'll be on Stockbridge's main road, with its variety of small shops, restaurants, pubs and a couple of useful smaller supermarkets (with a large Waitrose about 10 minutes walk away). The city centre can be reached either on foot or by bus. The Royal Botanic Garden is an easy and pleasant walk.”
“Excellent base for exploring Edinburgh. Comfortable and spacious even for a family of six, with well thought out extra touches. I can't recommend this property highly enough!”
“A lovely flat with all you could need for a city holiday. Great location for a (level) walk to the West End. On-site parking worked very well. We always found a space in the car park and, had we not, there was ample free evening parking in the adjacent street and spaces in the car park in the morning once other apartment residents had gone to work. A special mention for Maggie who was there to meet us and to see us out at the end. She was really welcoming and the communications in the bookoing process were excellent. Finally, as others have said, its a bigger property than the pictures suggest but the pictures are otherwise a good indication of what's on offer.”
“stayed here for a wedding in April. We were two couples who had our own space and plenty of privacy, as well as a great living room/dining area to hang out.
very cosy and homely, and a great wee terrace.
Shower, kitchen stuff all worked and iPod is a bonus.
Fiona (landlady) was very helpful and on hand for our arrival.
have recommended to friends going to Edinburgh in the festival.”
