“Lovely rooftop apartment on the third floor of an elegant Edinburgh mansion. Clean and well appointed, with comfortable furniture, beds and convenient kitchen appliances, and excellent heating and hot water. Our 4 year old son loved it, as did we. The owner, Brian, was always on hand when we needed him, extremely helpful and kind. The night we arrived, he'd prepared a welcome basket of goodies which were much appreciated! The location is great - within walking distance to the centre of town, use of a communal city garden with a park for kids, near the beautiful Botanics (great for anyone), Stockbridge shops and a Waitrose supermarket, and bus routes. Unusually, it also had free parking which was a big plus for us.
It has a cosy comfortable feel and is a home away from home - we'd definitely go back again.”

“This is a superb flat in a really quite area, and it really is only a 15 min bus ride to the city and with the bus only being £3 for all day use its a perfect place to stay. The owners couldn't of been more helpful either..!! Highly recommend this accommodation will deffo be using again”

“Myself and 3 others in my party recently stayed at this cottage, using it as a base camp from where we could easily get into Edinburgh centre; we were running a Dead Haunted ghost hunting event at Mary King's Close in the city so being close to the centre was essential. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days stay, and found it very relaxing, quiet and comfortable too. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage as a place from which to explore Edinburgh and beyond.”
“We loved staying in this flat. It was bright, clean, well appointed, and had everything we needed. Including an adult bathroom and a kid's bathroom. Got all our laundry done! We truely felt like we were at home. There was enough space for us to spread out. It was so close to everything, we were able to walk everywhere . Being right downtown we were in the midst of the action if we wanted to be. Had great breakfasts and the occasional lunch in the unit and went out for lovely dinners. A great find! Thank you!”
“We received the warmest of welcomes upon arrival and were made to feel immediately that our comfort was their main concern. The flat itself was well-decorated and furnished. There were 7 in our party and the flat was large enough for us not to feel cramped. The rooms are a generous size with a well - appointed kitchen. We would not only consider staying here again, but would also readily recommend it to our friends.”
“We were met upon arrival by the landlord of the flat who was very nice and helpful. He provided us with a great deal of detailed information about the flat and the city centre.
The flat itself was very spacious with 3 bedrooms- each with a double bed and 1 with ensuite, a kitchen, and a living room area with Virgin Media Satellite.
It is in a nice area with a Morrisons supermarket only a 5 minutes walk away and a bus stop approximately 200 yards down the road.
The only minor downside was the location as we were always having to take buses or taxis into the city centre. However it is not a million miles from the centre (around a 15 minute bus ride at £1.40 per journey) and taxis cost approximately £10 to reach all the main destinations.
Overall though I have to say the flat was very good value for what we paid (£170 for a weekend) and the Landlord was extremely friendly and approachable.”

“We stayed in this flat in Forth Street for three nights in February. Communication with the very friendly owner was excellent, both before and during our stay as we agreed early arrivals and late departures to fit in around flights. The flat itself is spacious and was very well decorated and appointed throughout - a whirpool bath is just what you need after hours walking around Edinburgh! The flat is located in a quiet side street, but just (literally) round the corner you'll find an interesting mix of bistros, Indian and Thai restaurants, pubs, off-licenses and take-aways, mostly independents rather than chains. For self-catering there is a great little fishmonger, a well-stocked whole-food/organic shop, as well as a Tesco Express, again all within 3-5 minutes walk. M&S food hall approx 15 mins on foot. The flat is about 12 mins walk from Waverley Station, just to the NE of Princes Street - we found it very easy to get to the Royal Mile, the new Scottish Parliament, Calton Hill etc etc. I'd thoroughly recommend this flat without any hesitation, and judging by the entries in the guest book, so would many others.”
“Lovely modern, well equipped flat over looking Holyrood Park. There is a path in front of the apartment which takes you directly to Holyrood Palace, the parliament and the bottom of the Royal Mile. Would stay again>”
