“We (2 adults, 3 children) stayed here for 1 week. The flat was perfect for our needs - the accommodation was comfortable, well equipped, user friendly and spacious enough. Locationwise it's only a 15 minute walk to Princes Street and very close to bus routes and Haymarket station. There's a supermarket nearby and an excellent wine merchants in Dalry Road.”
“The location of this flat was great for a family(10 mins walk from Waverley)and allowed us to enjoy the sites easily. The flat was very comfortable and clean overall but a little more attention was needed in he kitchen as needed to wash the cutlery, glasses and cups before use as were dirty and it would have benefited from a good wipe down between lets to remove the build up of grease. However I would not let this put me of staying there again. The concierge and residents very friendly as was the greeter who arrived promptly at the agreed time and dealt with a minor difficulty we had with the heating without delay.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Iona Street. It was an easy walk from the flat to Holyrood, Princess Street and all attractions. The flat was clean and simply furnished with everything needed for a city break. If you were planning to 'eat in' a lot, then you might find eating off the coffee table rather uncomfortable. A welcome pack is provided.”
“23a Stafford Street was fine for our purposes, it was great to have the parking space, albeit a bit precarious with the drop!. Beds were very comfortable, the showers I had were all hot but I believe some of the others had trouble later on in the week. Would be good to have the boiler instructions in the handbook. There were a few niggles, such as no hot water in the sinks and a used condom in the bottom drawer of the back bedroom which was not encouraging in terms of cleanliness! Smelt a bit damp in the main bathroom, so we endeavoured to keep the door open to air it. All in all it was fine and very reasonably priced but the hot water situation needs to be looked at.”
“This flat is located within easy walking distance of Princes St and other central areas. It is neat and well kept, with weekly towel and linen service. The kitchen and bathroom are recently renovated and very clean. Lorna and Mandy care a great deal about their guests' experience, and are quick to respond to requests for assistance. Highly recommended!”
“We enjoyed being right in the centre of all the entertainment we needed in Edinburgh. The stairs to the apartment were difficult to begin with, but it was a small price to pay to be on the Royal Mile. Great space and views. Do hope to go back soon.”
“We were warmly received by the manager, Gill Holden. The flat was comfortable. All facilities were good although the bathroom sink area was cramped and the trompe d'oeil decoration became increasingly oppressive - too ornate for the apartment's size.
nevertheless brilliant location. Entrance needs a bit of love?

“Good size, well heated, roomy flat. The kitchen was nicely equipped and we were delighted to find some basics in there like herbs and spices, tea and coffee etc. Having soaps and body creams in the bathrooms was also a really nice touch. Comfortable beds in the bedrooms (nice quiet bedrooms too)although the bed settee in the lounge did not erect properly, perhaps due to previous rough handling by someone. Overall this flat was real value for money for Edinburgh.”
“Perfect location for seeing all that Ediinburgh has to offer. The flat is located on a quiet side street in the heart of everything - just a 5 minute walk to Grassmarket, etc. We were excited to discover two bathrooms and a clothes washer. Despite previous review, we had no problem with the Internet and were connected the whole time. Highly recommend for up to four people looking for a comfortable, well located flat in Edinburgh.”
“The apartment was on excellent location and was in very good condition. I'd rate 5/5 but the water heater had to be restarted occasionally to get warm water. I can recommend.”
“Warm, comfortable flat close to all amenities and the Royal Mile. Local Sainsbury's 100 yards away, good second-hand bookshops opposite, superb 'real' pub free of tourists round the corner (Blue Blazer). Remarkable view of castle from kitchen! Helpful owners. I was unlucky with noise from flat above being renovated (hence vg not excellent rating), but apart from that remarkably quiet given central location.”
“The flat is in a good position for visiting all the main attractions in Edinburgh and has the added bonus of being able to park the car in a private roadway to the back of the building. The complex is very quiet, and the flat spacious, well furnished and equipped, and also has a view of Arthur's seat and Calton Hill. We enjoyed our stay very much.”
“A well located basement flat with free street parking, range of local restaurants and convenient bus service into the centre. It has been well renovated and is warm, quiet and comfortable. I hope to use it again.”
“If you're not looking for luxury this is the place for you. Very clean and only 10 minutes to the castle and other main attractions.
The shower is the best part of the flat. Very modern and relaxing.”
“This was ideal for us - very compact but all essentials provided and so we were able to relax and enjoy the city from our own space. More glasses and cutlery would have cut down on the washing up sessions but other than that we have no complaints at all.”
