“Booked this flat for a weekend away for my mums special birthday Good central location, good size of flat and clean. Only recommendation would be to have some outside seating.”
“The difference between very good and excellent lies in the detail, e.g., no lounge curtains, window frames in need of painting, the sofa has seen better days, occasional tables out of character, paper product labelling only partially removed from wc pedestal. We do want to emphasise, though, that on the whole we were delighted with the flat and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The provision of coffee and biscuits etc. was a nice touch. Our personal contacts with the agency were very satisfactory.”
“Very pleasant welcome from owner. Flat has all the necessary requirements for a comfortable stay in Edinburgh. However it was only upon arrival I was informed it was a student let during the year. This was evident in the tired decor + uncomfortable beds. Convenient to shop, 10 min walk to airport bus.”
“My 2 daughters and I enjoyed our 3 night stay in the Spittal St apt. We found it exactly as described and pictured. Yes, there are 3 floors of spiral staircase to climb and the entry seems a bit dodgy at first, but the apt is very comfortable and clean. The location is very close to the castle and Royal Mile and there are food shops and restaurants all around. The toilet room is small, so if you are tall it will be a squeeze, but nice to have it seperate from the shower when sharing the apt with others. Wifi worked great. We were there over a weekend and people were loud on the street, but the bedrooms are in back and quiet. The only thing we would have liked is a clothes dryer- there is a washing machine. We did a load of laundry, but getting it dry took awhile. We would absolutely stay again.”
“It only cost us about $1 to travel into the city centre, however there were not many nice food outlets near and we felt we needed to eat in the city centre. But we overall very happy with our stay and would definitely stay there again”
“This flat is spacious, comfortable and clean. It is very close to a bus stop and many of the buses bring into the city centre. Our children ( aged 10 and 8 ) enjoyed the balcony which got the evening sun. Maggie is is a lovely lady, very friendly and easy to deal with. We would definitely stay there again.”
“a good apartment suitable and just fitting for a family because of its facilities and spaces: children could moved and also played.
the apartment was clean and equipped.
according the location it was easy to reach the centre: nearby there are bus station, market and store, bank, restaurant, take away.
we'll get in consideration for a next holiday.”
“This flat is nicely set out and reasonably well equipped. Our arrival was efficient and welcoming. It's very central in Leith. Excellent for couples - we had 2 teenagers with us that meant many of the nearby eating places didn't hit the mark. But bus links to Edinburgh are very good. We'd stay here again.”
“This is a beautifully furnished and well-equipped flat. The views over Holyrood Park are lovely and we were lucky enough to get good weather to make use of the balcony. It is well located for getting in to the city centre. There is a good shopping centre nearby and nice restaurants not far away on Leith Walk.”
“Great apartment, everything you need. Location is good. Tollcross close to the meadows and next to a bus stop. Only a 10min walk to west end.
Easy check in service, info booklet on things to do in Edinburgh.”
“This is a lovely, spacious two-bedroom flat, which is brilliantly situated and has amazing views. Unfortunately for us, the floor-to-ceiling windows left the flat uncomfortably hot during the day, as the weather was sunny and very hot.
We would happily stay here again - perhaps especially our toddler, who loved having buttons to press in the lift to get into and out of the flat!”
“The flat was clean and comfortable, white linen on the beds, flowers on the table . The landlady was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Mostly it was well equipped, but no wine glasses .... and some new mugs would be good!”
“This flat was a perfect location for our needs. It was clean, quiet and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. Our contact, Gill was accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.”
“We stayed in this apartment for one week, just before Fringe Festival started, and it was just fabulous. A perfect location just off Royal Mile, nice view over the Princess Street Gardens. Facilities were sufficient for our stay (there even was a washing machine in a separate (shared) laundry room, which was not advertised) and our host has always been very helpful with all our enquiries. The bar downstairs tends to get loud on Sundays, but that didn't bother us too much (after all we are on vacation) We'll gladly come back next year for another visit to the best city in the world!”
“A simple, well-maintained flat that is perfect for getting to the main large fringe venues. Would definitely stay here again if visiting 'burgh for the fringe.”
