The flat was in excellent shape, and Marsha added lots of unexpected extras that were a welcome treat. The flat is in a brilliant location for both New and Old Town and the proximity to the station is an added bonus. Only downside was the builders out the back starting at 7am, but despite that, we'll definitely be back.

Immaculately clean, comfortable beds, enchanting location, quiet, safe, short walk to bus stop, lots more space than a hotel. Will stay there again and encourage others to do the same.

Really, one of the nicest flats I've stayed in. Clean, modern, spacious with incredible views of Arthur's Seat. Perfect location to Old Town and Meadows. Great cafe downstairs too. Can't recommend it enough!

This was an excellent choice for us. It is 10 minutes walk from Waverley Station but completely quiet at night. Having a whole flat at our disposal was a much better arrangement for a couple travelling with a teenager than 2 hotel rooms would have been, and cheaper too. The flat is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay and I would happily recommend it to friends visiting Edinburgh. My only criticism is of the rental firm. It took a couple of phone calls before I was able to pay for the rental, and it would have been much easier all round if I could have paid online when I made the booking.

The flat is in a good position for visiting all the main attractions in Edinburgh and has the added bonus of being able to park the car in a private roadway to the back of the building. The complex is very quiet, and the flat spacious, well furnished and equipped, and also has a view of Arthur's seat and Calton Hill. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This was ideal for us - very compact but all essentials provided and so we were able to relax and enjoy the city from our own space. More glasses and cutlery would have cut down on the washing up sessions but other than that we have no complaints at all.

If you're not looking for luxury this is the place for you. Very clean and only 10 minutes to the castle and other main attractions. The shower is the best part of the flat. Very modern and relaxing.

The flat is in an excellent location for access to Edinburgh central. The flat itself was immaculatley presented and we found the ensuite facility (which is practically a second bathroom) of great use with a large family. The flat is very secure and had everything we needed. The garage facility for parking was an extra bonus and we would definatley be looking to book this flat again.

A well located basement flat with free street parking, range of local restaurants and convenient bus service into the centre. It has been well renovated and is warm, quiet and comfortable. I hope to use it again.

Our saga began with the landlord asking us to arrive before 1.30pm so that he could go to football, so we changed our plans for our journey up there, got up at 5.30am and arrived in Edinburgh for 12.30pm. We rang the landlord to let him know we had arrived – he said that he had only just set off for the property and so would need 45 minutes to get it ready. We said this would be fine and went for a wander to look at the surrounding area. Time ticked on and we eventually rang to see what was happening at 1.45pm and he said it was almost ready and that we could head to the flat. We arrived to find him fiddling with the lock to the main entrance to the flat, he explained that there was a problem and that he would make sure it was sorted. We were then taken up to the flat, quickly flashed through the rooms and the landlord left. We went down to collect our luggage and then went back up to the flat which on closer inspection turned out to be very dirty and even more tired. I ended up refusing to put any food away in the kitchen until it had been cleaned and threw the t-towel in the bin as it was filthy. We looked round the flat and also found that there was no shaver socket, no baking trays, no jug, no washing up liquid, 2 dirty and used pan scrubs, no bin bags, the doors were being propped open by bins and had no other way of being held open. We ended up going to the supermarket and spending over £20 to get things to rectify these issues. We also bought some WD40 to see if this would fix the lock to the main door, which my husband duly tried on the Sunday, it made the key a bit easier to use but it was still taking us up to 5 minutes to get in. We texted the landlord to let him know and he rang back saying he was coming with a locksmith the following day to sort the lock out. We decided that there wasn’t much we could do but wait for it to be fixed and decided to stay in that evening (as we had done on the Saturday evening) as we weren’t confident of getting back in. The Landlord never appeared with the locksmith and we are still waiting to here back from him! This really spoiled our stay as we were reluctant to stay out in the evening in case we couldn’t get in and had to buzz one of the other flats. When we came to have a shower in the evening the shower screen wouldn’t stay in a fixed position and we ended up having to improvise with one of the wedges we had bought to keep the bedroom doors open. We were also unhappy that the free wireless internet was not actually free and that it needed a voucher to access it. We bought a £10 voucher but this only lasted two days. The secure garage parking was also not actually available – we were given no real reason for this. Then by midweek we had a full bin and realised we had no idea where to empty it. We later found out that the bins were in the garage, which you needed a code to access and we hadn’t been given this. Along with a very small TV which had speakers that were blown and distorted the sound it all added up to a very poor apartment. We will be returning to Edinburgh but not to this flat, which is a shame as it was in a great position and had great views.

This edinburgh flat was ideal for me and my friends, meaning everyone was together which was great for socialising, only a few minutes from town in a taxi. Kitchen very clean and well stocked with crockery etc, only thing missing was a corkscrew! Beds comfy and entire flat was tidy, a little noise from the road would be the only negative.

we had a good couple of days in this centrally located flat. the flat itself is a modern 2 bedder in a new block and is comfortable and well equipped with all the basics. the main attraction is the central location in Stockbridge, itself a pleasant area with good pubs and restaurants. the flat is a short walk down the hill from the new town and has a parking space in which we were able to leave the car whilst walking to all central attractions. reccommended.

We stayed in this flat in Forth Street for three nights in February. Communication with the very friendly owner was excellent, both before and during our stay as we agreed early arrivals and late departures to fit in around flights. The flat itself is spacious and was very well decorated and appointed throughout - a whirpool bath is just what you need after hours walking around Edinburgh! The flat is located in a quiet side street, but just (literally) round the corner you'll find an interesting mix of bistros, Indian and Thai restaurants, pubs, off-licenses and take-aways, mostly independents rather than chains. For self-catering there is a great little fishmonger, a well-stocked whole-food/organic shop, as well as a Tesco Express, again all within 3-5 minutes walk. M&S food hall approx 15 mins on foot. The flat is about 12 mins walk from Waverley Station, just to the NE of Princes Street - we found it very easy to get to the Royal Mile, the new Scottish Parliament, Calton Hill etc etc. I'd thoroughly recommend this flat without any hesitation, and judging by the entries in the guest book, so would many others.

Ideal flat from which to explore the city. Great views across Greyfriars to the castle. Feel in the hub of the city as soon as you go out the front door but very peaceful when you're inside.Well maintained and nice feel about the place. Recommended.
