“The apartment was absolutly fantastic, very good situated and very confortable... in a 400 years old house but with new furnitures.
It had all the falilities that you need to spend a pleasure time in Edinburgh.
We were 3 people and enjoy it a lot.
We will return as soon as possible.”
“We (2 adults, 3 children) stayed here for 1 week. The flat was perfect for our needs - the accommodation was comfortable, well equipped, user friendly and spacious enough. Locationwise it's only a 15 minute walk to Princes Street and very close to bus routes and Haymarket station. There's a supermarket nearby and an excellent wine merchants in Dalry Road.”
“This is a fantastic place to stay, it is 5 minutes by car into the city centre, and has a supermarket just 2 minutes away. Apartment is very comfortable, and has all mod cons, and there is secure parking. I would recommend this apartment to anyone, and we will hopefully be back very soon.”
“It has good information for newly arrived visitors so they can take an immediate action if necessary. There is a Restaurant with in the area of the flat,10 minutes walk to reach new shopping centre which is ocean terminal shopping centre,Next, Asda, M&S, good seeing view to sea side, The Bus station is infornt of the flat,we can access easily in Edinburgh town centre,The bus service is every 10 minutes, also we can walk through to town to go the Edinburgh castle no longer than 30 minutes by walk. Therefore it is well recommended to stay at the flat. Overall the experience was very good in the future I hope we will be able to meet again.”
“We had a great time in this attic flat.Charming, very well equipped and we particularly appreciated all the useful literature about Edinburgh and Scotland...it was more than a rented flat, we really felt at home...”
“The location of this flat was great for a family(10 mins walk from Waverley)and allowed us to enjoy the sites easily. The flat was very comfortable and clean overall but a little more attention was needed in he kitchen as needed to wash the cutlery, glasses and cups before use as were dirty and it would have benefited from a good wipe down between lets to remove the build up of grease. However I would not let this put me of staying there again. The concierge and residents very friendly as was the greeter who arrived promptly at the agreed time and dealt with a minor difficulty we had with the heating without delay.”
“First impressions were promising, the 2 bed flat is well presented and the location is pretty good too. Unfortunately the flat didn't really live up to expectations.
The flat was advertised with undercroft parking which was one of the reasons we opted to stay there but becasue a previous tenant had taken the swipe card it was unavailable. The on street parking wasn't an acceptable replacement as the surrounding streets were busy.
The key to the external door didn't fit properly so on every occassion instead of just opening the door we ended up stood outside wiggling the key hoping for the door to open. After 5 minutes this becomes very frustrating and after 10 the resulting emotions cannot be typed in a review!!
Things didn't get much better inside, the bath was particulary dirty which wasn't much fun to clean on arrival due to the need to bath our 10 week old baby!
In the kitchen, pots and pans were dirty and in one case rusty and unusable. There were inadequate provsions for cooking with only 2 small pans and a frying pan and when it came to relaxing with a glass of wine after my hard work cleaning we found there was only 1 wine glass.
In the living room there were a number of light fittings not working and even some with missing bulbs.
In summary, Edingburgh is goregous and we will definately be going back but unfortuantely, the flat wasn't and we definately won't.”
“We can highly recommend staying in this flat, we thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. The rooms are bright and spacious and immaculately clean. Everything we needed was provided from towels and linen to a well stocked kitchen. There is a great view out onto the Grassmarket and up to the Castle and we found the flat to be an excellent base to easily walk to all of the city centre attractions. A car parking space is provided on request and we found this most useful. The traditional period features alongside the location made it a wonderful holiday experience for ourselves and our children. From our greeting and welcome to the flat to our departure we absolutely loved it - and will definitely return!”
“A first-rate flat in an excellent location at a fair price. I spent a week there with the wife and 2 adult children. The Grassmarket area is an ideal base for visiting Edinburgh. The flat is very well equipped and nicely furnished. The owner works nearby and is easy to contact if you need any help or advice. Over the years I have used several different flats in Edinburgh and this one was by far the best I have found so far.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Iona Street. It was an easy walk from the flat to Holyrood, Princess Street and all attractions. The flat was clean and simply furnished with everything needed for a city break. If you were planning to 'eat in' a lot, then you might find eating off the coffee table rather uncomfortable. A welcome pack is provided.”
“The flat was absolutely gorgeous and very close to the main town/shops, Loved the place and will definitely be staying again if i go back to Edinburgh!!”
“23a Stafford Street was fine for our purposes, it was great to have the parking space, albeit a bit precarious with the drop!. Beds were very comfortable, the showers I had were all hot but I believe some of the others had trouble later on in the week. Would be good to have the boiler instructions in the handbook. There were a few niggles, such as no hot water in the sinks and a used condom in the bottom drawer of the back bedroom which was not encouraging in terms of cleanliness! Smelt a bit damp in the main bathroom, so we endeavoured to keep the door open to air it. All in all it was fine and very reasonably priced but the hot water situation needs to be looked at.”
“The flat is spacious, modern, very well appointed and with the added benefits of great parking. The views are exceptional. Wi-fi is an added benefit. The area is very quiet, in walking distance to shops and altogether a great location in Edinburgh with easy driving access, especially if Holyrood Park is open”
“The location was just perfect with it being walking distance from the train station and very central. The flat was clean and well kept and we thouroughly enjoyed our stay.”
“It was nothing but excellent experience for me and my family. The flat was good, tidy and properly furnished. The service provided by the Edinburgh-Flats team was excellent and we have really enjoyed our stay at Edinburgh.
Thank you!”
“This apartment was perfect for me. Three blocks away from work. A very short walk to the hiking area around Hollyrood. A 10 minute walk from the Royal Mile. Great restaurants in the neighborhood. Also very close to the University of Edinburgh. Good rental price, everything modern.”
