Efficient supplied our village hall with tracks and spots to illuminate the main area of the hall. We subsequently purchased extra spots which proved difficult to insert and also highlighted a connectivity problem with the tracking. Efficient showed a certain reticence about even visiting the hall or addressing the problem. We commissioned an independent inspection report which found the tracks to be defective. Although our contract was with Efficient, we were forced to deal direct with the track manufacturer as Efficient seemed reluctant to get involved. The tracks were eventually replaced with the cost being borne by the manufacturer who also reimbursed us direct for the fitting costs and the independent report. We are convinced that had we not intervened by dealing direct with the manufacturer, then Efficient would not have resolved this issue to our satisfaction. Efficient by name......

Hi David, sorry to hear your feedback we thought we'd got you an unprecedented resolution from the manufacturer who agreed there was a fault and paid for the replacement kit, covered the cost of access equipment and even covered the cost of installation of replacement! Even this morning we've replaced another item FOC for this job, no quibbles. I really can't accept that we would not have put right the situation David, this would have been illegal and we're in business 11 years later because we adhere to the law not ignore it. We put you in touch with the manufacturer to help get a resolution which seems to have worked....we thought...

I made two orders at Efficient Light in 2015. The first one was something of a sample of LED bulbs to replace the hundreds of spotlights I have in two houses. The agent called me to talk through my requirements, and was very helpful, pointing out where the website was in error (bit worrying for an online company, but apparently they're changing the site soon, so maybe it will be accurate!). Having agreed what I really wanted my order turned up - unfortunately it was not what I thought we had agreed, but I chalked this up to a misunderstanding on my part and a quick call rectified the problem. The second order was a completely different experience - I ordered two bulbs of a particular power and fitting. I received two bulbs of different power and different fitting. I telephoned to complain and they insisted I send them back at my cost in order to rectify their error. After a couple more phone calls they did eventually agree to replace them, but ended up still sending (a different) wrong type of bulb with the wrong fitting. When I spoke to them again they said that these items were out of stock and not likely to be back in stock any time soon. At this point I gave up and just used them elsewhere. I doubt whether I will give EfficientLight a third chance - their bulbs may be efficient (very efficient if they don't fit in your sockets), but their service is completely inefficient!!!
