“Love the packaging as it arrived! The shirt was gorgeous, but I will admit the sizing on the pants was confusing, so I'm uncertain if I should get something smaller.”

“The faux leather jacket fits well. However I had to return the trousers which originally cost £55 as they did not fit correctly at the top of the leg and were not very flattering.”

“The order came quickly, well packed. I ordered trousers which are well made and fit well, I also ordered a long cardigan which had the colour described as cream, although I noticed later that it had 'stone' was in the title. It certainly wasn't cream and stone was a better colour description. I would have kept this had it been cream but stone is not for me. Returns are painless. I am afraid that the current collection is not for me, I am now too old and prefer the timeless offerings of old but realise that this was not profitable.”

“I order the blue lace bomber jacket. It is well made and feels good quality. It was originally £75 but I waited until it was reduced and used my initial 20% off to get it for £40. I love it. the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the zip is quite rough and it catches on the lace.”

“The colour was true to the on screen view. I have kept the Vest top but it is longer than I realised I will have to have it altered. The service was very good, queried answered and well packed and all in a very prompt timescale.”

“I shop here from Australia and I encourage other larger ladies to go to your site for interesting well made clothes. I recently retired and gave my dress suits to a charity that outfits women returning to work. It has been really well received as many of these women have not the wherewithal to shop for your type of quality clothing even the volunteers comment on how beautiful and well made the suits etc are. I am now building up my smart casual wardrobe for my retirement. Elvi does both work and smart casual so well. Finally I always get an answer to any email I send with a query really quickly sorting our what ever issue I have raised. And your parcels get here faster than parcels within Australia. Well done Elvi and thank you Kate Muir”

“Really lovely garments with a prompt delivery (they arrived within 48 hours). The clothes Elvi sells are a curious mix of high fashion and oddly old-fashioned garments, with not always as much attention to the details as one might expect. But, overall, a reliable company with a good website and prompt delivery.”

“I have not shopped with Elvi for a number of years and was interested to know if I still found their clothes as good as before. I bought two shirts which I am reasonably pleased with. However ,I would have preferred them to have had buttons rather than the front opening just sewn together. The delivery time was excellent and I would purchase goods again. Thank you.”

“It seemed a very good top to wear at work. However I decided to return it because the length or the sleeves just above the elbow, the body shape and the large golden zip at the back did not match my requirements.”

“I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of my order as I had a special evening to go to and envisaged looking spectacular in the white feathered top and gold and white brocade skirt but it was not to be the top was totally unmanageable and the material of the skirt was rough and uncomfortable to wear so I had to return all my items.”

“Clothes are very well made using great materials. However, sometimes the sizing can be off. Also they do not account for the extra needed in the larger sizes around upper arms etc..”

“Sizing seems a little random? The blouse I bought was ridiculously small and had to be returned, whereas the coatigan (which covered a range of sizes that extended one size above the blouse) is on the generous side. Quality of both items is very good. Delivery was slower than expected, but from the tracking information this may well have been a problem with the courier mis-routing my parcel...”

“Unfortunately the sizing of the gypsy green dress was way off. I'm a mostly 24, but the 26 didn't fit at all! But the red maroon blazer was beautiful and fitted perfect! I was so keen on the green dress, but I need to return it.”

“Ordered a jumpsuit but had to return it as there was a rip in one of the leg seams. kind of worried me that the seams may be weak and didn't want to have an issue on my special occasion so wont buy this time.”
