“The quality is usually acceptable although more care and attention should be given to the actual fabric. Fit is usually acceptable, although zips can buckle, fabric can be difficult to iron, so doesn't always look smart. Sale items reasonably priced. Carriage is prohibitive.”

“I usually love Elvi and find their clothing to be of good to high quality. I hate to say the blouse I just returned was not up to snuff. Even my husband remarked on how funny the sleeves looked. It was as if they were not set in properly. In hind sight, I am wondering if they were set in backwards (with the back facing front). All I can say is - the fabric and pattern were very nice, but I simply could not accept the funny way the sleeves looked. I also returned a handbag, but I must say it was my fault for not reading the dimensions, it was way too big for me. It also did not close on the top - how do you keep things safe and free from the wet weather? The quality was fine, it was just not for me. I will continue to watch their site and e-mails for future purchases. I don't like losing the cost of postage to end up with nothing to show for it.”

“Lovely colour and pattern. Good quality material. Pity there are not enough buttons so the closure gapes - and has required press studs. The neck gapes as the shoulders are too wide. I have had to put a dart across it each shoulder. I should have sent it back but blouses of this quality and length are hard to find.”

“I bought a few items on the 40% discount day last Friday. The 2 shift dresses have been returned because they are too short for a larger lady. Also I have noticed with Elvi that the sizes come up on the small side compared to other plus size clothing outlets. I have kept a suit with co-ordinating camisole because I love the suit although again it is on the small side. I am losing weight and expect it will fit me shortly.”

“Easy to order clothes for UK sizes 16 upwards for ladies. Delivered to my chosen address very quickly. I did return a couple of items because the sleeve girth (width) at the upper arm muscle area was too tight. Sleeves needed more material for my upper arm. The skirts I bought have been lovely. They wash well and are smart to wear to work. If Elvi make sleeves wider in the future, I will order more jackets.”

“I chose a jacket for a last minute wedding in japan. As it was so important to get it right I rang customer services to check the sizing. Having measured my self I ordered a 20. When I tried It on it was at least4 inches too small and there was not enough time to exchange it. I had to send it back and trawl the high street in the I day I had left before flying out. The big disappointment was that it was the most beautiful garment. I would have felt wonderful in it if it had been big enough.”

“The items that I ordered were delivered very quickly - pleased with them all. I do have the usual task to face (shortening sleeves and tightening cuffs.) Not your fault that I am very short everywhere except in girth! Lovely quality at affordable prices.”
