“I purchased a Asymmetric top which was delivered next day and is the usual good quality and cut that is such a mark of Elvi. It is just as described in a good quality fabric and I will look for m,ore bargains online.”

“I shop here from Australia and I encourage other larger ladies to go to your site for interesting well made clothes. I recently retired and gave my dress suits to a charity that outfits women returning to work. It has been really well received as many of these women have not the wherewithal to shop for your type of quality clothing even the volunteers comment on how beautiful and well made the suits etc are. I am now building up my smart casual wardrobe for my retirement. Elvi does both work and smart casual so well. Finally I always get an answer to any email I send with a query really quickly sorting our what ever issue I have raised. And your parcels get here faster than parcels within Australia. Well done Elvi and thank you Kate Muir”

“Really lovely garments with a prompt delivery (they arrived within 48 hours). The clothes Elvi sells are a curious mix of high fashion and oddly old-fashioned garments, with not always as much attention to the details as one might expect. But, overall, a reliable company with a good website and prompt delivery.”

“Sizing very different to previous Elvi......from there size 18 was comfortable, now size 18 very much too small. And I have NOT put on weight. Explain please? Had to return most products regretfully.”

“I have been looking for a Jumpsuit for ages, one I could wear for occasions,Ididnt want no zips/buttons etc, this is the perfect one, I am so pleased with it, the delivery was very quick,slighty too long but so what! Iam quite capable of taking a few inches off the bottom,THANKYOU VERY MUCH ELVI (ALSO HAYLEY HASSOLHOFF).”

“I bought the black tassel top which is a really fun design, fits well, is slightly lower cut than I expected but a small stitching has sorted that. I also bought the cream blouse, lovely fabric, feels like a slightly thicker silk material, very flowy, will be great with leggings or jeggings or trousers if dressing up.”

“I really feel that Elvi has lost its way. I have bought a large number of items from Elvi over the last 10-15 years, mostly statement pieces for work, and loved the quality and clever design, as well as the fit (although I never found the cut of the trousers to be any good). Having just moved jobs I thought I would look for some new summer pieces to refresh my wardrobe. I really struggled to find anything I liked at all and nothing that I could wear to work. In the end I ordered only 3 items, and have returned all. A lovely maroon overshirt turned out to be split up to bra level - bizarrely. Why would anyone of a larger size want their fat bits spilling out at the edges, and why would you want to put anything else on underneath a summer shirt that is already two layers thick? Even worse, the designer has obviously just widened the cut of the shirt for larger sizes and left the sleeves a size 16, so it is wide but has very tight upper sleeves and armholes, but which are baggy and too long lower down. I also ordered a cream camisole which was at least 6 to 8 inches too short and more of a crop top - awful. Finally from the outlet a green top to wear under a jacket - but of such poor quality and shoddy workmanship that even if the cut had been good enough I would not have paid the reduced price. What has happened to Elvi quality and good design. By going for a younger market (I am in my early 50's) you have probably lost me forever - I feel very sad about this as I was very committed to the Elvi brand. Belinda”

“I have not shopped with Elvi for a number of years and was interested to know if I still found their clothes as good as before. I bought two shirts which I am reasonably pleased with. However ,I would have preferred them to have had buttons rather than the front opening just sewn together. The delivery time was excellent and I would purchase goods again. Thank you.”

“I loved my Elvi purchase, which was also my first purchase with them. I received the parcel and was immediately stunned by the quality of the packaging - these items were packaged to feel like a treat! I love that. I ordered multiple sizes across the same products to establish size and everything I tried on had a QUALITY feel to it... I tried skirts, tops and jackets. The tailoring was great (and consistent across the items) and the fabrics were really lovely. I tried one item that was particularly luxurious (it retailed for £48 on sale !!) and another that I am ordering again - so I can have TWO. I am excited by this store. After coveting pieces for ages - this was definitely a wonderful shopping experience! Thanks Elvi! -Boombands.”

“Elvi is a new-to-me online shop. For my first order I sent for two tunic tops, a pair of trousers and a sweater. I was very disappointed with all of them. The tunics had strange proportions, the collars were cut very high, and the fabrics were extremely cheap and felt very unpleasant. The colours weren't accurately represented on the website. The fabric for the trousers was so cheap looking I didn't even try them on. The sweater was actually a nice fluid knit, although again the colour was somewhat different to that on the website. However the sleeves were at least 6-8" too long. I'm 5ft 8" tall, so long sleeves are not something I normally encounter, but these were ridiculous. I appreciate that the colour issue could be argued to be a problem with screen resolution, but my equipment is new and high quality and this isn't a problem I've encountered with other online retailers. The poor cut and cheap fabrics is not something that can easily be explained. Why is it that plus sized retailers think that we don't want to buy nice quality at a decent price. Do they think we'll just be grateful that something fits? No. Finally, I want to be able to use the Royal Mail to effect my returns. My nearest Collect+ is a 10 minute drive and 50p parking fee. My post office is a 5 minutes walk. I shan't be ordering again!”

“I would not buy from Elvi again. The trousers sent to me were not of the standard they used to be and the sizing was way way out. I object to having to pay return postage when the fault was yours not mine.”
