Energsge.com is a great place to get multiple quotes from trusted solar installers. They have a rating system. I upload my PG&E bill and the type of roofing. They have researched the popular solar panels and inverters and given them a rating. I wish Energysge would have more information on its website about solar scams or fake news. For example, Inflation Reduction Act would take off 30% for new roof installation. 30% is only for the solar system unless the roof is the solar panels. Pro and con solar lease.

They made it incredibly easy to get in touch with solar companies and get information. They were a valuable resource and extremely helpful. Thanks to them, I'm going solar.

ES is a terrific resource. Rapid response with abundant and clear technical details from 6 or 7 highly rated companies selling good equipment, a very educational website with lots of readable content, and rapid and easy access to authoritative, unbiased, and personal responses from knowledgeable advisors who also follow up with the individual companies if needed. I am pretty good with scoping and planning home construction but could not have navigated the solar process on the short timescale demanded by California's NEM2 expiration without ES (not there yet, but it's all with the contractor now). I have recommended it to several other people and will continue to do so.

I began to explore going solar after an issue with our electricity provider, PG&E. All I knew about solar providers was that there was a huge number to choose from in California. Through EnergySage, I was provided with quotes from five highly-rated companies that I could compare side-by-side, all without any effort on my part. Then, before my husband and I made our choice, Ben Guyette had a Zoom session with us where we were able to answer questions we had about our specific project. I have nothing but praise for their service.

Yup, most solar reps hate EnergySage. I totally don’t get why. Maybe they actually like cold calling. Maybe they like knocking door to door. Maybe they like waiting for emails that never come. Or maybe they hate paying EnergySage’s fee or getting access to consumers that have some modicum of information. As a solar consumer I like the free seminars, learning from others' questions, my personal advisor Nicole, who emails me to check on my progress, getting lots of initial estimates and readily accessible reviews. I had one phone/zoom conversation with each of my final proposals going forward, then emails from there to acquire a final bid. In hind-sight I should have gotten them more similar specs earlier (EV charger, attic conduit run, panel upgrade) to get more apples to apples numbers. But hey, it’s a learning process. I had everyone estimate a new roof but no one was competitive with our best local roofers.

EnergySage is an excellent website for selecting solar installers. They do a wonderful job of vetting solar installers with a grading system. Through EnergySage received bids from solar installers to select based on EnergySage's grading system.

Nicole was my energy consultant and she did an outstanding job following up to ensure that I found a good company. I received 6 quotes and Nicole scheduled the phone consultations with the 4 companies that I was interested. I was picky about the specifications and warranties, and the first company that I chose dropped the ball, but Nicole was there to follow up. That was awesome. After several weeks, I chose a company that checked all the boxes and we'll see how the installation process goes. But one thing is for certain, I found a good company with the best price point. As a comparison, I chose a 9.6Kwh system that is fully warrantied for 30 years at a cost of $25,400. The system proposed by costco was over $60,000. I chose the IQ8 system because it is wired in parallel, so if a panel dies for any reason, the remaining panels will still produce power. With a series wired system, if one panel goes out, you will lose more than 50% of the rated power generation until the panel is replaced. I wanted the 30 year warranty for the entire system, including roof penetration warranty, hardware, and labor. I also wanted a reasonable installation timeline (less than 90 days). The only company that could deliver all of the above was Solarlink. And I found them on Energy Sage.

We used Energysage after trying to get quotes in our local market and not being happy with any of them. We found a fantastic installer on Energysage for the best price. Very useful and informative website.

The consultant at EnergySage was very helpful. She helped explain the technical terms and how the different payment options worked. Seeing the competing estimates supplied in the same format made it easier to pick a solar installer.

I found EnergySage by checking into Solar. I found their page to be helpful and I like that you could look up anything about Solaar and the different Companies and you pick which one you want. I appreciate all the info I received on their page.

Easy to compare quotes. Worked at my own pace and learned a bit more about solar as well. Very pleased with the privacy EnergySage gave me to make a decision.

I found EnergySage very useful to identify 7 potential contractors interested in bidding on my solar project both with and without a battery. They offered a variety of equipment brands for panels, inverters, and batteries. I appreciated being able to pursue the ones that interested me and ignore the others. In the end I selected one with good ratings as well as good brands for in-person negotiation and a contract.

The information about solar was invaluable for me because I didn't know much about it and I wasn't going to buy until I did. They brought the Solar companies to me, I didn't have to go to them. I received about 5 or 6 bids that represented what I was looking for and needing.
