“I was at first confused about what Energy Sage was. Once I realized it was kind of like a broker, matching customers with providers, I expected it to be an automated, mechanical formula, and I was skeptical of getting much value from it. Energy Sage far exceeded my admittedly low expectations. They were personal, getting on the phone with me frequently and showing interest in my individual project. They were professional, responding quickly with deep knowledge of the business. Most importantly, they were highly effective. The vetting they do before admitting a company to their listing is thorough and valuable. They way they line up companies for direct side-by-side comparisons is fantastic. The guidance they provide through a confusing process is invaluable. The only negative, if you can call it that, is that they are better suited for customers who have already decided they are definitely going solar. The vetting process they do with customers might not be worth it, if you're really on the fence still. But, if you've decided you want solar, START with Energy Sage. It's like having a professional consultant for free.”

“I appreciate the information that was provided. I talked to the representative and she was very knowledgeable and responsive. I also liked that Energy Sage was independent of the companies so I felt I was getting honest information.”

“I was delighted and relieved to discover EnergySage. I had thought about solar energy but didn't know where to begin. EnergySage solved so many problems for me! They provided basic education about solar as well as finding vetted, competitive providers. The people with whom I spoke gave guidance in a very patient manner. It was reassuring to know that EnergySage really did the legwork.”

“Was a pretty useful site, had readily available info on panels, inverters, etc. has good info to educate individuals like me. the Marketplace is a pretty good mechanism, i ended up picking a vendor thro the marketplace.”

“This is a really good site for soliciting bids without being bothered by the different solar companies. Helpful consultant. It has the normal limitations involved when you try and standardize a set of bids, but very useful for comparing different companies offerings.”

“Thank you energy sage for supplying me with some great quotes. Your companies were more reasonable and not just ripoffs like the majority of NEW solar companies. I wish you had a phone number we could call for questions. I also noticed that your review of the APTOS panels states a 15yr warranty but every other source I see states 25 yr warranty.”

“I really liked using EnergySage. It was a great way to get quotes from different companies without having a gazillion follow-up phone calls. The quotes were easy to read and very complete. I also liked the "scores" EnergySage provided on the different components (i.e., panels, batteries, warranty, etc). All in all a great experience.”

“Very easy process. We received a very quick response but only received 2 quotes. Easy to compare equipment and estimated energy cost savings. Financing was available and its cost vs full payment was easy to compare. Overall a very good experience. We would have rated this a 5 if we would have received a couple more quotes.”

“Energy Sage made it easy for us to find multiple providers for a home solar installation. We probably saved about $5,000 as a result of the competitive bidding process. I also appreciated the solar advisor session with Energy Sage - they answered many of my questions and helped me understand what I needed to ask the installers to make a good choice.”

“Pleased with Energy Sage as a provider of information but unfortunate that they could not provide me with any vendors that could do a non cookie cutter installation without large numbers of penetrations in my flat roof.”

“I think overall Energy Sage is a really good platform and the people running it are great, however I'm now concerned about some of the contractors they refer to. Three times now using their contractors, I've either gotten no response or they have not kept their promises to me. The most recent one, I signed up with the contractor and they attempted to do a "bait and switch" with me, highly unprofessional and unethical so I had to cancel the contract.”

“I really valued how easy it was to set up my RFP though it would have been valuable to have the proposals be more consistent. They were tricky to compare and rarely incorporated the specific guidance I provided in my request for bids.”
