Why is there not a zero star option because this company deserves it. This is a disaster product. The company has no maintenance system in place whatsoever. I had problems with my charger from day 1 which took weeks to fix and then only after I left a stinging review. I was invited to amend the review on the promise of a replacement charger which has never materialised over a year after it was promised. When I followed up I was ignored. This unreliable heap of junk this company supplies has packed up once again. This is sadly the only way this company does anything. Nobody will offer any assistance until you leave a bad review. Pending the action they now take I will be leaving further revelations in due course.

I have a EO mini Pro and will never ever buy anything from EO again. I'm a Electrical contractor and off grid solar installer and install complex systems daily. But this little piece of garbage beat me. First 3 to 5 hours of training noone tell you about, second it can never work anyway till you get the stock 'assigned' to you after a call to tech support - and im in australia so this is 7pm at night. I guess this is how they ensure you are trained. Several calls to tech support, about 12 hours total over 6 months to get it working. If the job was for a customer I'd be going bankrupt. Instead of making thier garbage better they just make the training longer. It's anual renewable too so you have to do it again. I installed a $1.2mill battery by ABB/Samsung in the same timeframe without annually updated installer training... It's very "home made" with hobby grade electronics. Raspberry Pi as the processor. The plastic isn't uv stable, used to be black, it's now white. I'd be surprised it's still there a year from now. It's solar mode uses solar produced. This is useless as my house also need that power. If it used solar that was being exported it would be excess solar power and be essentially free power. They way they do it is solar power(that's not excess) goes to the car and then the house imports coal power at the same time. Unlikely to save you any money at all Just chuck their instructions in the bin, and move the CT to the incoming mains and it will now put power in the car that was going to be exported. Excess or spill solar will now charge your car for free. Tech support is useless. Very expensive. The app is crappy and no API or any other input. Don't waste your time and money on this company.

Good afternoon, We’re sorry to hear that your experience to date with installing your EO charge point didn't match your expectations and thoroughly appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Our online technical training has been created to ensure installers are well equipped when installing our products, and each product-specific module has been designed to be 30-40 minutes long. Please note that we have immediately flagged your feedback to our On-boarding team who have confirmed the module covering the solar abilities of the EO Mini Pro 2 remains incomplete on your account, which could explain the difficulties encountered whilst installing your unit. That said, we're keen to ensure that you've got access to a reliable charger and invite you to contact our technical expert directly on support@eocharging.com or 0333 77 20 383 to discuss the situation in further detail. We now offer 24x7x365 customer support so please select the ‘Technical Support’ option if your call is outside of our UK-based opening hours of 9-5. Many thanks, The EO Charging team

My charger doesn’t work. It disconnects after a few minutes. The app is very basic and the Wi-Fi function keeps failing. I’ve only had 30 minutes of charge since it was fitted last week. I’ve emailed EO but no response.

Really wanted to give this charger a 5 star review but unfortunately 3 big things that make that not possible: 1.) You have to have separate accounts for each charger so if you're getting more than one (we have 2 for our 2 electric cars) then you have to log out of one and log back into the other 2.) Solar bypass pulls more than the bypass amount and doesn't look into where the energy is coming from. So once a solar export starts it'll kick in and drain your home battery or pull more energy than the export pulling peak power off the grid, or more often than not both. 3.) Hidden charges, did you get told you have to pay for the app every single month after 3 years or you'll loose access to the charge scheduling, solar bypass etc... No me neither, don't get me wrong I've nearly 3 years for them to change that policy before it impacts me but very, very, very naughty. It's a real shame as the chargers themselves are exactly what we hoped for small, discrete and fit in with the building. If it wasn't for those three problems I'd happily give them a rave review.

Charging unit failed not long after installation. I have been repeatedly told they would fix it, then replace it but months on i'm still left with a faulty unit while they 'work on a fix'. I have asked for the unit to be removed and a refund issued and they say they will arrange for an installer to remove the unit but there's always an excuse. AVOID!

We have had to wait 3 months for an installation appointment after they took our money in advance. On the day of the appointment the engineer failed to show up and communication was poor from the office.

I have been experiencing problems since day one of the installation. Youe technical support team takes too long to come back with support. I have been able to charge the car for a full week now and I am strat losing faith on your ability to resolve this ongoing problem within and acceptable timeframe and soon will regret to have used EO

My charger was installed on the 18th November, but when the car was delivered a few days later we discovered the charging point doesn't work. I contacted EO and after a week someone in their technical department called me back and told me there was a fault with the charger and they would liase with the installer to get the unit repalced. It is now the 20th December and after numerous calls the issue still isn't fixed. The installer tells me they are getting a lot of calls from customers with the same problem and can come back and replace the unit when EO send a new one to me. I'm actually on hold with a call to EO trying to get a resolution as I write this.

Charge developed a fault 2 months after installation. It’s a known fault but they have no solution. They fail to respond to emails or calls. “Our technicians are working around the clock to get to the bottom of this issue, and we will be in touch within the next 48 hours with an update” is their standard response yet they fail to update. I regret using this company. AVOID.

EO Pro Mini 2 not fit for purpose! EO have known my unit is faulty for over 2 weeks now and have offered nothing to fix the problem. They keep kicking the can down the road saying, "we'll get back to you in # hours". They do not, I chase, rinse and repeat. The product does not work and the customer service is none existent. Being reliant on a home charger for your vehicle means you are reliant on this product more than a normal consumer product, the customer service and product quality should reflect this. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

We had the EO charger installed a few months ago. It has stopped working with apparently no power getting to it. I called the EO technical support this morning who advised it would take 10 days or longer to get somebody out to look at it let alone fix it. I live in the country and rely upon this. THE RESPONSE TIME IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. VERY POOR SERVICE

As electrical contractors my business don’t fit many ev charging units as we are busy enough with other lines of electrcial work. After being asked to supply and fit an Eo mini pro2 by a regular customer we agreed. An order was placed through our regular wholesaler, unit arrived. On Monday, we installed the charger and Garo enclosure. Only after installing the unit and trying to set up for the customer did we find out that for the charger to be of any use at all, I have to become an EO approved installer by completing online training, supplying qualifications to EO and also bank details etc to open a customer account. I have no intention of fitting any other EO units and this would be a pointless exercise. NOT ONCE does it say anything about having to be an installer to fit and commission them when actually ordering the unit or on any of the boxes or instructions. If that is the case, the units should only be supplied direct from EO to there approved installers. It now puts me in the position of spending several hours doing training and sending over paperwork to complete a job that should take half a day. I am effectively now doing the job for FREE. Absolute shambles

To keep this brief. 10 months since new EO Mini Pro 2 installed. 1 return visit 2 weeks after install as unit not working. Charger works 75% of the time. Error LED's, EO App says vehicle isnt plugged in (even though it is and the green light is on). Currently 5 days without a working charger......... 5 calls to customer services to resolve why the charger isnt working in the last 4 days. 3 promises I will get a call from technical and 3 days without the promised calls!! Guess what, EO are meant to be calling me back tomorrow!

Please do not buy this charge unit. I am an electrician and fitted at my home only to be told that unless I become one of their installers it will only work as plug and play with no smart features.

Just had a new unit fitted today under warranty and still cannot set night rate time charging as soon as the car is plugged in it charges, the app is so frustrating there must be simpler ways to charge a car, at the cheaper electricity night rate. My advice look elsewhere
